  1. Just a note on graphics.lua, when DCS world updates, it will over write you custom config. You can instead edit the same file or similar in users (can't remember exact file name off the top of my head but easy to find), or do what I do and just change the offending lines back after an update.
  2. Yeah it's the graphics.lua in the config folder of DCS World. Open in notepad. Best performance I have seen is locking max frames to you lowest (wouldn't go below 30, just stops frames from jumping around) and I found a post in the buggs section which helped me gain around 10 frames back with no noticeable visual loss. http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=107551 It's from mustang regarding editing in high structures line, it works well. Also, http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=101083 When I used these config files the game was pretty silky, tho they caused a missing texture error for me using them with DCS World. But the graphics.lua from msalama will give a good guide to edit and test your on your own graphics.lua file. I have saved a copy for the next patch to get my frames back if need be...lol...
  3. Well I'm lucky enough to have my clutter set to full, but after 1.2.6, I even look in the direction of the action and I drop frames, add the TGP and its gone from min 45fps full maxed to min 45fps with scenes and vis dropped to low. Editing graphics.conf is my last hope.
  4. Thanks mate, shame it's not incorporated into the current map, tho understandable.
  5. Edge? Hey guys, Reasonably new to DCS, I have heard some talk about Edge and what it could mean for DCS performance. Could someone explain briefly what this is and answer some questions like will it be implemented in the campaigns, release date and so forth. As my current box is reasonable but still has performance issues, this got my attention. Thanks.
  6. Real shame, too stuttery now on track IR, was maxed before, now only get normal frames dropping scenes and vis to low. Needless to say that's a big issue. Full clean install, no change. I7 3930k overclocked 4.5ghz Gtx 780 16 gb 2133 ram Samsung 840 pro ssd
  7. Had a lot of issues getting smooth frames with dcs a10c, finally over locked mt 3930k to 4.5 ghz, and had frames around 90-120 in flight, minimum 45 facing the action. Just spent two weeks learning to fly the aircraft and use the weapons systems, bought the hotas a10 stick and throttles which I received the same day 1.2.6 was released. Game updated, now frames are min 29 facing the action, no real change in normal flight. 29 just isn't smooth enough for track Ir, very stuttery. (Runs Smooth ROF, IL2 cliffs) Did a clean install (deleting all dcs world files from PF and Users), still no change. Updated directx and installed latest vid drivers also. Very disappointed here.
  8. I hope this works for me have dropped a lot of frames, also (3930k 4.5 gtx780) way too stuttery for track ir at 30fps. Was running maxed at 45fps in all cases pre patch. Real shame if I have to put this awesome game away again.
  9. Hey guys, first post here, anyone dropping frames in the A10c after the patch? Losing around 15fps in action (locked it at 45 for smooth track ir), doesn't seem to be visuals related, more CPU. Just don't know if its worth a full reinstall or its just something in the patch. Also load times are longer but still ok and have had crashes from generated missions back to the front end.
