I fly with a CH stick and peddles. For DCS I put CH manager in bypass and just set it all up in the sim.
What does that do? Wouldn't that be just like not using the CH Manager and setting up controls in-game?
Basically just wondering what's the advantage to doing that?

Enique,
What aircraft do you fly? FC3? A-10C? I'll link you the appropriate CH profile.
I actually have P-51, A-10C, and FC3. If you have one for each would be great if not I'll take the ones you have.

I use the CH Prothrottle and CH Fighterstick. You don't need to configue them using the CH Control Manager, just assign them keys in the game control section. Yeah, there are a lot of keys to bind, but that's the name of the game. I have some DCS profiles for them if you want them, you will just need to adapt them to your preference...
Well I was actually having trouble trying to assign them in-game. lol Seems retarded, but it's the truth, not sure why. It just wasn't the normal way of assigning keys, unless I missed something and when I say normal I mean you click the item you want to assign and then hit the button on your controller to assign it. Not to mention I'm just unsure of what controls are important enough to assign to the stick/throttle.
I wouldn't mind checking out your profile for them just to give me a starting point, that would be helpful.

Yeah, do you have your Combatstick setup in-game or are you using the CH Manager?
The CH Manager just seems rather confusing and well I tried setting up thing in-game and that too doesn't seem very user friendly. It not being user friendly and the abundance of controls to setup all just seems very daunting.

Well I just got my CH Fighterstick, Pro Throttle and Pro Peddles....
I don't even know where to begin to set this thing up. I have the CH Manager, but do you have to have it? Can you just set the controls up in game if so how? :helpsmilie:
I'm just ready to jump in and :joystick:

Is there any updated profiles for the P-51, A-10C, and FC3 for a CH Fighterstick, Pro Peddles, and Pro Throttle?

Panzertard and I went at it, Oh man it was so much fun. Go high def =)
I cant get the darn embedding to work, Viper can you shoot a few BB's at it?
Was TrackIR used for looking around the cockpit on this video? If not what then?

if you are interested, i woud have a ch fighterstick and a ch pro throttle to give away, as they are collecting dust right now...i have no clue how much the shipping would be though.
cheers.
I would be very much interested. How much you want?

Well right now I'm leaning towards the CH Products setup (Pro Peddles, Fighterstick, and Pro Throttle). They look so dated though, but there is lot of good reviews and seems to have a mass amount of buttons to program. So far seems like the best alternative. What do you guys think? Are they still recognized by most newer sims on the market?
PS: Thanks for all the help and guidance guys, much appreciated.

Yeah it seems that Saitek x52 Pro is the choice, I just didn't like all the negative stuff the guy in that video talked about. I'm going to shop around and more and maybe find something that fits my budget.

For pedals, these are the only way to go;

Don't have em yet, but hope to win them soon.
Ill refrain from commenting on the HOTAS part since ill only end up criticizing the warthog and all that's wrong with it.
I'm curious to hear what you think about the warthog and do you still use it?

Well thanks for all the comments. Another question I had was how is the online community, as far as people playing online? Is there lot of people online and is it pretty easy to get into a game?
Also what do you mean by the joystick being fixed? I mean it has to move to be able control the plane, right?

Just starting out and looking to buy the things needed to get flying. Already looking to get TrackIR, just wondering what's a cheaper alternative for the TM HOTAS WARTHOG?
Anyone have the SAITEK X65F or a TM COUGAR? If so, how are they?

This will be a big help, thank you very much! Now it'll be less time setting up control and more time :joystick:
