  1. I recently purchased the F15C Eagle and A-10A (not A-10C) modules. I received a serial number for both. The F15C installed without issue, but the A-10A will not install. It does not appear in the module list within the DCS Module Manager. It does appear in the launcher (the program that shows links in the right side for "Instant Action", "Campaign", etc.) but with a "Buy Now" button, not a "Set wallpaper" button. 1.5.2 fresh install. I have visited https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/personal/licensing/ and ensured that the license is bound to my login, and the that login is correct. How do I install the A-10A module?
  2. Oops. Please delete this thread. I haven't found a way to do so. DxDiag.txt
  3. Can controls be changed within multiplayer (without exiting)?
  4. The UH-1 Huey module won't install, giving me the above error message. However, when I check the version (shown in the lower-right corner) if DCS World, that is exactly the version which is installed. How do I install the Huey module?
  5. You failed to notice that the terrible password rules I was talking about are how the sim software and website don't even agree on the rules of the password that apply to both. If you believe that's a good idea, I am glad that you aren't a software developer. I merely stated that the requirement for a number and capital is irritating. It provides no benefit and makes passwords difficult to remember and difficult to type in a phone. It's much better to simply require longer passwords. A humorous and non-technical explanation can be found here: http://xkcd.com/936/
  6. The degree of detail modeled by DCS continues to amaze me. When I crash and can see the internal structure of the plane, when I can't close my cockpit or raise my landing gear speed is too high, so wind resistance is overpowering me or the wheel motors. I'm a professional software developer and I find the level of detail and complexity both wondrous and jarring. The developers of DCS must be both at the very top of their field and a little insane.
  7. When registering a DCS account from within DCS, almost anything can be entered into the password field. When one tries to login, if the password does not follow the security rules, that password is simply not accepted. DCS reports that the password entered is wrong. DCS needs to follow the same password rules as the website. It was only out of random frustrated attempts and trying "anything" that led me to try to register on the site even though I had already done so in-game. Speaking of which, the password security rules are really irritating. DCS is a low-volume flight sim. There is no reason to require a capital letter and a number. The risk of account break-in is low (oh no, someone can fly with my account!), and the security increase is marginal at best. For a humorous take on bad password rules, see this XKCD comic: http://xkcd.com/936/
