  1. I'm also experiencing this bug
  2. Here is a .wav file of the start up from inside the cockpit. The canopy is closed so you can hear it better. At the end of the clip you can still hear the APU running when in fact you should hear it shut down near the end of the start-up sequence. http://www.mediafire.com/file/s1j5gw0e0tde5yh/Su-27%20APU%20Bug.wav
  3. When you say track, do you mean replay track or audio track?
  4. It seems that when I start up the aircraft, the APU will not shutdown automatically. I have tried having the aircraft placed as a Hot Start, however the APU will shortly begin running after I load into the aircraft. The only time the APU will shutdown is when I shut the engines down.. Any help?
  5. Hi all, As I'm sure many of you do, I have media keys on my keyboard that allow me to play/pause music. These had no affect on anything until recently in DCS. I was flying around and had to pause my music in order to listen to something - at which point the landing gear extended. I pushed the pause/play key a few more times and it seems as if it were bound? I then went to the controls to see if there was any issue there, however the only key bound to it was 'G' which is normal. I even pressed the media key whilst in the controls to see if any other controls were affected, yet the landing gear extension/retraction was the only thing highlighted. Almost as if it is an extra 'G' key... I have not had this problem before and it does not affect any other games or normal every day use. I have also checked the keyboard device manager and double checked to see if there is anything else bound to the Media Pause/Play key - there is not. If anyone may have any idea as to what is causing this or how to fix this, I would be eternally grateful.
  6. I have to say the idea of a transport helicopter would be great, going into the front line with troops to drop off or vehicles to unload or cargo to release... However, I would also enjoy a chinook as the aerobatic enthusiast that I am. I run the Virtual Royal Airforce Chinook Display Team and have been for a while, I used to display on Microsoft Flight Simulator X then realised it's not the type of simulator I need unlike DCS. I then started playing around with the flyable models like the Apache and F-16 until I could allow the Chinook to be flown with the Ka-50's flight model. Well I got the Chinook working But using the default models cockpit which is well... Illegible! The rear wheels sunk into the ground, it didn't fly like a chinook and worst of all, the next update meant I couldn't fly it again nor any of the other fly able helicopters or planes. So yes I think it's time we had a Chinook added!
  7. That's true, I've got the Apache mod from this page installed and it's great fun to fly! Thanks for the directions, plus would it be possible to grab some help from you? From one fellow virtual helicopter display team to another? ;)
  8. Here is the cockpit so far! There's the bugged out ABRIS
  9. Where about is the server.lua file? I've heard people talking about it but have never succeeded to find it. And fair enough, I thought someone form the Netherlands virtual aerobatic group was still running the Royal Netherlands Air force Chinook. I've seen your Apache and it looks great! Looks like you've got a good team to help you out with the model. I assume you're using the Ka-50 cockpit? If not then you're probably doing the same thing I am with the Chinook, would appreciate some help with the editing if you are! There are a few finishing touches that need to be done and if so I would appreciate some help from you.
  10. I didn't add the Chinook into the server.lua how ever, I managed to remove the Ka-50 cockpit so I am sitting inside the external model of the chinook, but I have got a HUD and some of the other panels and guages from the Chinook. So I think that I have now sorted out the Virtual RAF Chinook display team's aircraft. Also vtsgoose, I heard that you were having some problems with sorting out the Chinook for the Netherlands aerobatic group since the recent update, if you're still having problems I could send you what I've got here and you could see if it's okay.
  11. I've managed to move the cockpit position and have removed the Ka-50 cockpit so I am sitting inside the Chinook model's cockpit with the HUD from the Ka-50 as well as some of the other instruments. It's flyable but I'm going to try and reposition some of the gauges, I'll upload some pictures of what I've done soon. And yes, it is a mod.
  12. I've made it able to fly the chinook how ever the cockpit just sits in the center of the aircraft and when I try and edit the cockpit local point, it doesn't move, any idea why? And I would appreciate it if you could tell me how to find the gear positions so that the chinook doesn't taxi on 3 wheels...
  13. I've got the CH-47D into a flyable model using the Ka-50 cockpit and flight dynamics but I can't seem to re-position the cockpit... I've edited the cockpit local point loads but the cockpit won't budge :L
  14. I have installed the FA-18C mod from here http://www.virtual-aerobatics.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=1060 and I have decided to copy the folder and edit it so I am able to fly other aircraft such as the F-16A and Tornado GR4 which I have both got working, how ever I have tried using the F-15C cockpit with the F-15E and every time I load into the game then select the aircraft to fly, it crashes. The entry.lua layout is the same as the F-16A and FA-18C which uses the F-15C cockpit but the F-15E just doesn't want to work... I have made the F-15E use the A-10A cockpit as a test and when I load in game, it all works fine and I'm there sitting in the A-10A cockpit. It's got to be something to do with the F-15E and C model clashing, well that's what I believe... any help??? :helpsmilie: UPDATE - The same problem occurs with the F-14A
  15. Thanks but what would I alter to prevent it searching the "Config/Weapons"?
