That would be in July if im lucky to get it. Sure I can post my impression if I remember this conversation:p. From what I heard the pancake lenses on BSB2 is on par with the quest 3, so the lenses should be quite good, unless the reviewers are lying..

How?:p. Unless I buy it, I cant try it.. But that said, even if quest 3 was the best in the world and I got It for free I would not want it. Not to keen on Zuckerberg selling the data he gathers while im wearing it:p

I already bought BSB2, and simply wanted to know if I get clearer picture and less shimmering and if things look better at distant scenery than Reverb G2. I dont need eyetracking and resolution wise the quest 3 looks like a downgrade(on paper), and I hate zuckerbeg, so quest 3 is not an option for me.

Yes aliasing, correct. Think I misunderstood hes answer. So upscaling my reverb G2 can achive the same picture quality as the BRB2? What is the point of upgrading then:p. When i went from the samsung oddyssey+ to reverb, the clarity and shimmering got a lot better. So are you saying I could just kept the oddyssey and upscaled the res and gotten the same result? Really, then what is the point of making higher res headsets other than killing the framerates:p. Im puzzled now, maybe I should cancel my order… To add, after getting the reverb, I could not see any screendor effect anymore, so if that is the only point with higher pixel density then its useless for me because at 2160x2160 I cant really see it anymore..

From what I experienced higher resolution really helps with shimmering and from what i seen with through the lens videos, higher resolution headsets has way less shimmering and things in distance looks better. So I wonder how much better the BSB will be compared to my reverb….

How is the clarity on distant scenery and shimmer with BSB compared to reverb g2? I ordered the BSB2 to replace reverb G2, but not sure if i made a mistake and should have gone for the pimax super instead.(the weight and size looked scary).

It replaced the dcs updater tool for me, just love it. Used the updater tool to choose wether to start vr or 2d, now i dont need the extra app anymore. Also find it very convinient to be able to install/uninstall modules without starting the sim. thank you ED:)

Not as clear as this one, also it takes out the long boring travels where nothing happens and put you right into action. (Great for people that dont have to much time to play). And landing on carrier is not obligatory.. (for those who struggle). And the air refueling is scripted(still cant do it adter 13 years playing this game:p.) Im a noob in the F18 and its the first campain I actually can make progress. Higly reccomend it for noobs like me:)

Im also new to the F18 like OP and found the payware «Rising squall» campain to be very noob friendly. Like how it tells me in briefing what knowledge I need to have to play each mission.

Just came back to the A10c2 after long time, I noticed the CCRP mode has changed with certain bombs. E.g the gbu12 uses symbology Im familiar with, but the gbu38 has something else that I dont understand at all. I have googled and tried to find tutorial on howto use it but cant find anything. What I dont understand is when to press weapon release. The old method was simple with that counter dropping down through the circle. But this new mode I cant wrap my head around it…

Last time I travelled with an airliner my 4 year old daughter was asking me why the plane is standing still and not moving at all, when we where in the flight levels... She could not feel the speed, so even in real life, perception of speed can be like that..

Ending with a line we are working on dedicated servers, my question was aimed at communety run server like blue flag, pheonix, agg cold war etc running on beta branch. Did i offend ED in some way? Was a legit question on why splitting the communety, again, into 2 branches. Not EDs fault but the communety refusing to use stable for some odd reason. These servers kinda represent the best of mp has to offer in DCS, its a shame to hide them for new users coming into DCS and that may never frquent the forums to realise what it has to offer.

Myself jumped straight into mp when i got into dcs, had never flown a flightsim in my life. If pheonix server wasnt around at that time with dcent population, i would leave the game, took me atleast a year to register on the forum. Many people coming into this from steam would come to a game with almost no life in mp, they would just think, ah this game isnt that popular,,,... this mp beta trend can ruin the influx of new people too the game. Even me, a seasoned mp dcs player, it took me a week to find out what was going on, could not wrap my head around it, after a holiday, coming back and not finding a server too play on. Was just lucky to stumble upon a thread in the bugs forum.... And even if its a stable beta, many people will refuse to run somthing with beta in its name, because it implies its gonna be some unstable shit... and going back and forth beetwen stable sounds very inconvinient... This kinda makes me wanna drop mp for a while to dive into sp, until the good servers decide too go back to stable..
