This has annoyed me too, I joined blue flag to use simple radio and choose the Red side because it seemed like they needed people, blue side seems to always have more players, but no one is using the coms, they seem to use the text chat instead, or hiding in teamspeak, wich defeats the purpose of having simpleradio???:huh:. So Im kinda tempted to join blue side just to get on the radio. I have only once got a reply "five by five" but that was pretty much it:p, the CGI was on text chat typing out orders, very immersive:(...

Yeah, problem is, I cant't stand shimmering, it hurt my eyes, makes my brain wanna explode and my mood turns too ,turning down AA is the last thing I want too do, heck I even run DSR x2.25 to smooth the edges even moore... Tried lowering shadows, too, but they are so ugly on medium, I cant stand it, infact, I cant make myself lowering anything, hence I just do the most simple tweak of all, I don't fly the Mig 21 anymore, a shame really, because I love the plane, it's history and that it is a 3rd gen fighter. So guys, you really cant help me, really. Only ones who can is LNS, but they don't seem to want to improve it, well what can i do.... Only thing I can do is to use the modules that work for me, and leave the others. Im sure gonna research the modules I buy from now on so I don't get more of these performance killer modules..

When I bought the Mig, my hardware wasnt exactly museum relic material though..... And I have bought the product with "maybe" honest earned cash, and even if Im not using it(reason, performance sucks), it's my right as a customer to complain about it. If I got a refund right now, I would smile and shut up...and never look back...

If DCS had "presets" I could change on the fly I may have bothered with tweaking settings(but there is a limit on how much 2006'ish I want the sim too look), wich I don't need help with BTW. But it is so annying having to change settings everytime I want to jump into the mig 21 and also have to remember what it was, so I don't want to bother with it+the graphics look like shit after tweaking. It's much more convinient for me and leave the settings like it is and enjoy ALL my other modules instead than have to worry about changing settings everytime I jump into the mig 21. Nah, unless performance improve, I'll leave the mig in the hangar catching dust and forget that a company called LNS even existed...

I agree this module is beatyful, but the low frames takes away all my joy with it, unfortunetly. Also, I cant just buy 8 GB extra RAM, I have to buy 16GB, because you should always use the same batch of chips, buying a new batch of RAM and mix with my old ones, even if the same brand/type, can cause a lot of issues(been there). And also since Im upgrading my whole computer next year, it doesnt' make sense for me buying those 16GB now wich cost around 150 euro, when I'll have to throw them away next year anyway(kaby lake use DDR4, wich is what i need next year). You might aswell close it, been going around in circles, and Im not here for computer upgrade advice, I was here to complain why this module is so demanding on performance compared to other modules around, and to hear if there was any plans from the devs to improve on it, wich seems not too be the case. So the whole point of the thread is already gone. And also it would help me from getting the ban hammer on me, because I kinda get stirred up easy, and might say things I don't mean in a "momentary lapse of reason".

Thank god there is one more soul in this universe that see what Im trying to say, after 3 pages of flaming back and fourth. Bless you sir:)

C'mon, everyone that hasn't lived on the moon tha last couple of years does know that the Mig 21 is quite heavier performance wise than all the other modules, saying something else is just a pure lie, and you know it... It may be less noticible if having a uber computer, but for us normal mortal folks it's very noticible Ok mate, I guess I'll see some improvements in 2018, when I upgrade to kaby lake. But still, I dont like the idea of a module sucking out so much performance of the Sim, so personally, im gonna stay away from LNS products in the foreseeable future... To many replies, so I missed yours, sorry, and no Im not a troll, just a unsatisfied customer.... I dont want assiatance, I want LNS to get their finger out and make their module on par(performance wise) with the other modules from other devs.. Also to answer your post, no, i dont have old files from earlier releases laying around, came back from holiday 2 weeks ago, reinstalled windows, and DCS, so everything should be fine...

I know what they told me, but I never do as told.... Wait for my reasoning... I have a planned computer upgrade somehere down the line next year(DCS has nothing too do with it), then ill go for kaby lake, 1080GTX and 64GB RAM, but that is next year, or maybe even more. So I see no point in upgrading my RAM now, just to have to throw it away, when I get my kaby lake(maybe even better if the kaby lake replacement has arrived). Thats what I ment with expensive, also, who upgrades from 8 to 16 these days, you would go for 32 or 64,,, right.... But all this RAM, upgrade talk, BS, has nothing too do with the fact that the Mig 21 runs like shit compared to the other complex modules from other 3rd partys, wich is my whole point. Im kinda aware that my 'puter is shit. That's not the point! So to everyone, get back on topic!!! Really. now its my CPU, before it was my RAM. LOL, I'll just make it simple and blame it on the Mig 21...(wich in this case really is my bottleneck, easy solution, I stopped flying it:)) Well, this aint going anywhere, the devs don't want to improve performance, and I don't want to support the devs anymore, case closed. This thread has run it's course, mods, you might just close it,,,, This was a preemptive statement from me, before I inflict myself a ban......

No, RAM is quite expensive where i live, so, im kinda scared to spend 400 euro if it doesn't help(Not sure I can trust the info in this thread, because it seems kinda biased towards LNS)... Not sure what makes the Mig 21 more complex than all the others, A10C, Mirage 2000C, F5E etc. Are you saying they are mediocre modules and the Mig 21 is the only complex one? Also, there is no attitude, just a fed up customer, waiting for this module to get finished and perform better. But I got what I wanted with this thread, wich was an answer if LNS is gonna do something to fix the Mig 21 performance, and they are not, so I guess Im outta here. Plenty of other 3rd partys to support, that makes modules that is useful "for me".... I've been bothered by the mig 21's performance since I bought in beta, and I assumed it was work in progress, but after some years of waiting and nothing have improved I had too ask the question wether they are gonna do something about it or not... If people get offended by that, so be it. Oh yeah, sure this genre is for me, as long as I stay the hell away from LNS modules, I'll be fine:pilotfly: "Move a few sliders from "High" to "Medium", for me its more like move all sliders from "high" too "low", wich I find unacceptable just for running this plane, when I can put all sliders on "max" and fly other "just as complex and excellent modules"....

Could you enlighten me with what you mean by a decent system? And no, I don't expect miracles, but when all the other module makers can make excellent quality addons that runs uber smooth in this SIM, then why does LNS have to overfill their bucket so it ruins the overall performance of the SIM? I payed good money for it and I expect to be able to run it just like the other high quality modules... I guess if people are satisfied with this, then OK, but there should be a warning when I buy from LNS that this particular module performs 50% worse(Im not even exagerating) than all other modules for DCS, and that you need a Nasa computer too run it... BTW, is it possible to get a refund? Edit: WTH was I thinking, I should have known I would be overrun by fanboys and cocky mods when I started this thread:p

Probably gonna helpa little bit, but Im used to nice graphics when im running my other modules, so going back too 2006'ish graphics quality just too run the Mig 21 won't cut it for me, I rather just let it collect dust in the hangar, and never look back for more modules from LNS...:music_whistling: Thanks, then my statement would be I wont ever buy anything from LNS again:( Im curious too know why all my other modules(A10C, Mirage 2000C, F5E, Huey and P51) runs 60FPS with pretty much maxed settings except mirrors, and the mig 21 runs like crap even with lower settings..... My 8gb seems fine with all other modules, Im not exactly convinced that upgrading too 16GB is gonna solve my issue with the Mig 21. Even if I exceed 8GB RAM I never notice any performance issues when it unloads too the hardrive(SSD). In short I don't belive the RAM is the issue in this particular chase.....

Why does the Mig21 perform so bad compared to all other modules. I really love this plane and the feel of it, but the performance keeps me away. This is the only module I really regret buying. I kinda wanted the Viggen, but since the Mig 21 performs so bad, im afraid to buy it and purchase something I'll regret, again... :( Any words from the devs to improve performance of this otherwise excellent module?:huh:

I was looking forward to try this campian, but somehow I cant get it too work. When im taxiing with my flight lead, he suddenly stops and is just sitting there, so Im stuck behind him forever without the mission progressing....

Well, I have Nevada, dont play it because it's not STABLE, I used too buy early acces plane modules, not anymore, because they are not STABLE, also tried the beta brances of 1.5.x and dont run them anymore, guess why? Well they are not stable and I like to fly without annoying bugs as far as possible, hence I always run STABLE branch(fewer bugs and more? you guessed it STABLE).... If the majorety of the multiplayer servers start running beta brances, then im out.....

Just wanted to join the blueflag server, and learn howto use ""simple radio". Is there any guides out there on howto talk to GCI/ATC,, like in what to say and when to say it,,,? Do I announce when I start engines, taxi, and takeoff, and if so, how?

Sounds like you haven't put in your username and password to login to the master server may haps, (Login button at top right black bar, at end of that in mid screen is login icon, is your ED Usename showing next to it ???), hard to tell from your description. Login button only shows up if I try to join multiplayer, and I can get it to login. My username is not diplayed anywhere, on the screen()login button is also invisible so It looks like im not logged in. Its realy strange, I had DCS over 5 years through endless changes of hardware and such and never had an issues, got this problem 3 months ago, but had others things to keep me busy so I didnt have time to look into it. Now that I really feel like simming again and have an itch too scratch, the damn thing doesnt work:(. Sometimes it seems one have to have a proffessor degree in computers and IT just to get a damn game to run:smartass:. Seems im not logged in, when trying too I, the login mechanism doesnt work...
