  1. Excellent newsletter, thank you very much. I am so impressed that the next two aircraft will be bundeled with matching theatres and you are committed to provide supporting AI aircraft, ships and ground units. This shows that you do not want your aircraft to exist in a vacum, which makes LNS truly stand out among the DCS developers (including ED). I am very exited to learn the details.

    +1

This, so much this. Others need to learn from LN.

  2. Great update! Glad to hear that you're focusing on projects that others seem to shy away from. I'm very surprised (positively) that you're willing to ship proper period maps and units with your plane modules! I'm not a fan of current DCS WW2 because of the 50$ price tag per plane and then an additional price for the map.

If you're indeed working on a Corsair, I'll be much more willing to buy your WW2 plane. :)

    Keep up the great work!

Mandatory pitchforks and torches because you're leaving us high and dry until Monday. :P

  3. unfortunately we dont know (yet) how the carrier implementation is going (coming),

not only the 3d model making but the carrier scripting, in-sim behaviour too

so i think it will be task/work of ED and not job of 3rd parties (maybe in 2016 with DCS:Hornet)

that was almost 3 years ago:

Yeah, I agree. It's on ED.

Leatherneck, just focus on the Tomcat. We'll love you even if you don't make a carrier.

  4. Also after seeing just how much effort went into getting the Mig21 right, I have the utmost faith that these guys can give the F14 the module it desires. IF Cobra isn't just messing with our heads that is. ;)

I know a lot of the F14 potential does rest of ED providing us fully working multicrew environments, but I'm sure Leatherneck wouldn't even consider it IF they didn't already know the direction ED is heading.

It's a very exciting time to be a simmer that's for sure, although rather an expensive one. ;)

After all that teasing about F-14, I'd be quite shocking if Tomcat isn't the module that they're planning to release in 2015.

As far as the carrier is concerned, 4th gen DCS level fighter is so badly needed that I don't even care if it comes without the carrier at start...

  5. Don't forget about EF-2000 of VEAO. They're trying to make it as fast as they can.

Nah, Ells228 said in the beginning of 2014 that they'll try to get it out before the end of 2014. After posting some pictures of the 3d model in January and February they became completely quiet and only started talking about it again in the recent days with nothing to show.

Until there are pictures and videos of VEAO Typhoon working in DCS, you shouldn't think/believe that they're working on it "as fast as they can". It's better for your sanity.

But Mirage 2000 on the other hand...
