Setting my ILS to 110.30 MHz, HSI to 120 degrees but still telling me I need to setup my ILS. Is there a good tutorial on how to set this up. I have watched several vids on this but none seem to help with this mission even the video on this mission, Thx in advance

Doing the Maple Flag Aerobatics mission, 7000',260 knots, hard deck 5000'. Pitch down 15 degrees try to hit 330 or so knots, I either run out of time or don't get enough speed with out going below the hard deck. Any ideas? Thx

I have a Warthog HOTAS. Is there any way to set all the controls back to default? Thx

Alright guys got it working! The throttle was this: "Also a lot of folks have to cycle the throttle to get it to go into the start up cycle. Specifically, your throttles are below the detent (off). You grab the one you want to start, pull it up and over the detent to idle. Nothing happens. You put it back to off then back to idle again and the engine goes into the start sequence. I'm not sure why but I have to do this every time I start the plane. I'm not sure if that is your problem but if you are just having an issue with the engine starts that may be it." And the stick was this: I'm not sure, but I think you need hydraulic pressure from the engines before the stick will move in a cold start. Again, thx to all of you for the help! I have a feeling I'm in for a long ride :)

Still having issues with the stick, throttle working fine now. Same problem with stick, works fine in all but in "Aircraft Start-up". Will check the "HOTAS Sync at mission start" when I get home tonight.

Nope. this is what I did. Enter Settings/Aircraft A10C Real/Axis Commands Cleared everything assigned to your pitch, roll, rudder and left/right throttle Selected Left Throttle, Highlighted "Throttle HOTAS Warthog" field. Clicked "Default" it entered JOY_RZ Did the same for Right, Default entered JOY_Z Just doing the throttle mind you. Went back in game, Training/A10C/A10C Familiarization/ Lesson "HOTAS Fundamentals" Start sim, throttle works fine. Quit, Select Aircraft Operation/Aircraft Start-up start sim, no throttle. Is there something about aircraft start-up that would prevent the throttle and stick not to function?

I have a Thrusmaster Warthog HOTAS. I have not loaded any of the Thrustmaster software. The controller is recognized in Windows. The controller works fine in all mission(so far)except "Aircraft Startup" training mission. I can see all the buttons I press, switch or toggle move, but I get no throttle movement at all. When I push the stick forward it goes right and acts very slowly. Any help would be appreciated. Thx

Xoxen, the Warthog is definitely a lot smother and easier to fly with. The stick is a little smaller(just a little) then the Cougar which surprised me but I'm thinking of just swapping the two (Cougar stick will fit on Warthog base, should still have the smooth flying) and seeing how that works.

I just received my Warthog and was surprised to notice the stick is a little smaller then my Cougar stick. I have bigger hands and my Cougar stick is in excellent shape, can I just swap them? Thx for any info on this.

Ok, have the Warthog and tracker on the way. I think it might be cheaper just to buy the plane!

Ok, I think I get it. The trim hat that should be used for trimming the aircraft is setup by default for cockpit views. If you have a headtracker you can remap the trim hat to trim and the headtracker will change the cockpit views. One last question, What's a headtracker? Thx for you help.

Will the HOTAS Warthog work natively with A-10C. I have a Cougar from awhile back but getting it all setup to work with A-10C seems a little daunting to me (never got real in-depth with the programming). I heard that the Warthog was plug n play. So is it that simple to get setup. Thx for any info on this.

Hi everyone, I could use a little help. I just loaded up A-10C and wanted to load a joystick profile for my HOTAS Cougar. I noticed a Cougar profile already existed but it is an .xml file not the .lua it requires. What am I not getting? Thx

You are right. I ordered A-10A Flaming Cliffs and A-10C Warthog. I take it that A-10C Warthog is a more in depth simulation. Thank you for the clarification on this.

So I bought A-10C: DCS Flaming Cliffs. So I need to download the 6 DCS World downloads and then the A-C10 Warthog download the then Flaming Cliffs download? Do I also need to download all the patches for A-10C? Is this correct or am I missing something. Thx
