Every update the game gets I hope for a fix for the AMD black screen/oculus issue, it seems nobody cares to acknowledge the problem, they must play test oculus with NVidia. I'll bet it's something really simple too, when I researched this problem earlier to see if there were any similar issues with other games. I remember reading one post from an indie rift developer regarding a similar issue, is was something to do with one of the commands he had used not being recognized by AMD cards, he changed it and voila it worked.

I have the DK1. This has been a problem for some time though, the oculus rift thread in input/output has a few AMD users dating back some months stating that the game cannot run in rift mode with AMD cards. It's a weird one as the game does run fine in all other modes (including stereo mode). Most people seem to be using Nvidia cards so I guess that's why there are not many reports on it, however, from what I have read, not 1 person using an AMD card has managed to get it working with the rift. Appreciate your help, thanks.

Thank you, disabling the mod fixed the issue, the mod was the stereoscopic labels one. I was hoping the new oculus runtime and patch would fix the issue with the black screen, but I still get the black screen when trying to run my rift with this game. Is this likely to ever be fixed?

After updating to the current build I cannot play the game, upon attempting to start a mission the game stops working. Windows displays an error message stating 'DCS has stopped working' I'm currently using an AMD R9 280 card, and have tried 2 sets of drivers with the card, still not working. System; Windows 7 64 AMD R9 280 Intel i7 3770 The only thing that didn't work for me before this update was the oculus rift, from what I understand it just didn't work with this game and AMD cards, just gave a black screen. Now I cannot run the game at all. :helpsmilie:

Hi, new to the forums, having just purchased Flaming Cliffs 3 I'm really eager to hear whether the issue with AMD Cards and the black screen with the oculus rift will ever be resolved? Does anybody know if there has ever been any official response on this? My guess is no as I could not find any.
