I have nearly an identical system - 7800x3D, 4080 non-super, and 64GB RAM. What I did is start with DCS's default VR settings. I clicked that in the options and then started tweaking from there. AA is going to be the hardest thing to figure out. DLAA helps with frames, but screen text is harder to read. MSAA is better with screens, but a higher tax on performance. TAA gives best AA, but text is fuzzier. I've not really tried DLSS. In the Meta app, I set the refresh rate to either 72 or 90hz and a pixel density of 1.0. In the Oculus Debug app, I set the bitrate to 720mbps.

That part I do not know, sorry. According to that, it isn't implemented.

I believe the way it works is it slides up into the forehead of the helmet. See that knob on the left hand side near the top? That's a screw that holds it in place. You loosen it and the visor comes down and tighten the screw to keep it in place. Loosen it again, push the visor up and into the helmet, and tighten the screw to hold it in place there. Or do you mean how do you get the visor to go up/down in the sim?

Correct, set inside the Oculus Debug tool. I set pixel density to 1, turned off DLAA and switched to 2x MSAA and I can run 90FPS now (installed new Nvidia drivers, no DLSS). I'm amazed!

I've been launching the game through Meta Link - how do I tell if Link is launching the regular .exe or the multi-thread .exe?

That's what you posted earlier in the thread, so that's what I went with. 4080, 7800x3D, 64GB.

I just got the Syntech cable - Meta Link is telling me it's only 2.9GBPs bandwidth. I dropped the bitrate in Debug to 500 (was 720), see if that helps the stutters. ASW is on Auto (was disabled). EDIT: Just went and put the bitrate back to 720 and disabled ASW - dunno what I did, but man... Whatever it was was giving me nausea! Hope this fixes it.

So, what do I do about microstuttering? Randomly, regardless of the FPS, when I move my head, the picture stutters.

Changing the slider to 1.2 and increasing to 720 really seems to have helped the text readability. I'm also trying DLSS and after takeoff, I can consistently get 72fps in a Liberation mission. Tomorrow I'll try the Apache.

Ok - so get this. The Autopilot in the F-16 doesn't work when I use the Quest 3. The switches move (both moving them on the WinWing HOTAS I have and clicking them in game) but the autopilot doesn't engage. EDIT: Ok - looks like the air refuel door somehow got bound to my NWS button... Let's see if that works.

You all convinced me to give the Quest 3 another shot, so I went back to BB and bought another one. lol I promise to give it at least the whole weekend before I return it again. I also ordered that Syntech cable, should be here Sunday. What is the BoboVR face thingy you speak of? You may be right. I did submit my G2 receipt to Pimax - I'm considering given the Crystal Light a go. Maybe the Quest 3 just caught me on a bad day and I didn't give it a fair shake.

No, you're right. I only had it for about 6 hours. I just decided to return it that soon because it wasn't comfortable and the ridiculous amount of tweaking I did that didn't resolve it just soured me on the whole thing. The need to buy 3rd party accessories to make it comfortable was also a knock against it. The G2 was relatively simple to tweak by comparison. I just took it back while I was still thinking about it and BB was still open - it's only about a 5min drove to BB from my apartment.
