  1. It seems it was an alignment issue - you were right. A little patience on the ground made all the difference, and the JDAMs were happier too. Thanks, Don
  2. Well, I haven't played with mark points, but I did see a video of that technique (was that yours?) Anyway, the problem was definitely with the JDAMS going to sleep - a little maneuvering solved it. Thanks much for that. Does the flight manual cover mark points in detail? That's my next skill to accomplish. Thanks again
  3. Thanks, I'll give that a try, though I am experiencing it with both JDAM flavors.
  4. Hmmm... I'll check that. Hadn't thought of that possible problem.
  5. I find it difficult to engage EAC since the advent of version 2.x.x - I have not been able to engage it during startup, and it sometimes takes 5 or more minutes of flying before I can get the darned switch to stay up in the armed position. Has anyone else noticed this? Also, does this reflect how the *real* A-10 behaves? Thanks, Don
  6. In the latest version of DCS 2.5.3, I find that I am unable to drop any JDAM weapons. I think I've traced it to a problem with the weapon status - I notice as I approach my target (I have set it as SPI) that the GBU's are in ALN GRDY state, which the manual says is aligned but aircraft is on the ground. At 12k MSL, I'm certainly not on the ground! I don't see any way of changing this on the DSMS or Inventory pages - am I missing something else? Thanks all, Don
  7. Thanks all - I"ll give that a try.
  8. This happens in the "Enemy Within" campaign. I am using 2.5 beta, and the latest update, which I installed today. This is on Win10. When attempting to use the radio (the one used to contact ATC, etc.) I am unable to use any frequency but 132.000 When I try to use 133.000 for example, I'm not able to contact ATC. After setting the freq to 133.000, I use "" or left alt+keypad num to get to radio menu. There, I see an entry for Kobuleti grayed-out, and only get the F2 option for default airport. When I select that and contact them, the radio frequency changes to 132.000 (on the frequency selectors) and of course, I get no answer from them. I've tried this with 134-137, and the same results. I have not tried it with missions or instant action yet. I also get no ILS or TACAN signals from Kobuleti (111.5 & 67X respectively) when coming home. Hope you can fix these soon. It's hard to fly a campaign without radio contact. Reverting to the previous version.
