I did not touch DCS for several month or maybe more than a year. Now I got a problem with installing my graphics mods (cockpits). When putting my cockpit mods folder to "C:\Users\liebe\Saved Games\DCS\Liveries\Cockpit_FW190_A-8\mymod" the mods name is not shown in Antons special options menu and I cannot set it. But when putting graphic files directly into "C:\Users\liebe\Saved Games\DCS\Liveries\Cockpit_FW190_A-8\default" the graphics for the cockpit are loading correctly. Now I found out, when putting my cockpit mod to "C:\Users\liebe\Saved Games\DCS\Liveries\Cockpit_FW190A8 \mymod" , the mods name shows up in Anton special menu settings and I can activate it, but graphics did not load into cockpit. So for now I have to go the "default" way with folder name "Cockpit_FW190_A-8\default". Is it somehow possible not to use "default" as folder name and graphics will still load into cockpit? Please, anyone can help?

I purchased Echo19 Spitfire sound mod. The Echo9 mods readme says to put the mods folder to "C:\Users\liebe\Saved Games\DCS\Mods\tech" .. it would look like this: "C:\Users\liebe\Saved Games\DCS\Mods\tech\ECHO19_Spitfire". But seems that sounds are not loading, I still cannot hear new sounds in cockpit. I also tried to put it into "C:\Users\liebe\Saved Games\DCS\Mods\resource\ECHO19_Spitfire" But still no new sounds. Can anybody help me to install and get sounds working? There are also new menu graphics in Echo19 folder. They are not coming up too. Please, anyone can help? I checked the DCS.log and for the Sound mod, it says.. "2025-09-28 21:53:40.450 INFO SOUND (5872): Added sound path: C:\Users\liebe\Saved Games\DCS\Mods/tech/ECHO19_Spitfire/Sounds" There are slashes and backslashes in same path, is this correct?

I did not touch DCS for several month or maybe more than a year. Now I got a problem with installing my graphics mods (cockpits). When putting my cockpit mods folder to "C:\Users\liebe\Saved Games\DCS\Liveries\Cockpit_Spitfire_LFMkIX\mymod" the mods name is shown in Spitfires special options menu and I set it active, but the graphics are not loading into cockpit. I found out, when I rename "mymod" to "default" and put my graphic files directly into "C:\Users\liebe\Saved Games\DCS\Liveries\Cockpit_Spitfire_LFMkIX\default" the graphics for the cockpit are loading correctly. Is there a way to not use "default" as folder and mod name in order to get graphics loading in cockpit? Please, anyone can help?

Older sound mods and "mods"-folder
briklebritt replied to briklebritt's topic in How To Mod for DCS World
Many thanks! You saved my day.. now I can convert the Dora sound on my own too. Thanks for your help and doing this file! -
I want to use the old sound mod for the BF109. It worked for me until they introduced this new "Sounds.edc" folder ("C:\Program Files\Eagle Dynamics\DCS World OpenBeta\Mods\aircraft\Bf-109K-4\Sounds.edc"). There was a folder called "Sounds" instead where I put the sound mod files - worked pefect. How to get it working now again with this new "Sounds.edc" folder? I tried to put it to DCS Saved Games folder, but the new audio files are not working when ingame. I tried to create this folder but this is not working > "C:\Users\xxx\Saved Games\DCS.openbeta\Mods\aircraft\Bf-109K-4\Sounds". Hope anybody can tell me where this Mods folder with all the sound files form the mod has to go now..

Older sound mods and "mods"-folder
briklebritt replied to briklebritt's topic in How To Mod for DCS World
Thanks for answering. I already tried to copy it to Saved Games. There are two folders within the mod "Sounds" and "Mods". It seems that all files in "Sounds" folder have an effect ingame, but all files in the "mods" folder seems not to have an effect or are not recognized by DCS when copied to Saved Games folder. Can you tell me something about this "mods" folder? The structure in the mod is "Mods\aircraft\Bf-109K-4\Sounds\Effects\Aircrafts\..." Maybe it is not the right place to copy it to Saved Games. Perhaps anyone could look into the mods files and tell me where this files in mods folder have to go? In "C:\Program Files\Eagle Dynamics\DCS World OpenBeta\Mods\aircraft\Bf-109K-4" is only the new "Sounds.edc" folder and this is now not the right place to put the files too. Before they changed it to the "sounds.edc" folder, there was a "sounds" folder instead and I the new sound files worked.. within this folder -
I still want to use older Sounds mods f.e. for the BF109 "Immersive Daimler Benz Mod by 5tuka". I saw, that the folder structure changed in DCS. These older sounds come with a "mods" and "sounds" folder. The sounds folder should go to "C:\Users\xxx\Saved Games\DCS.openbeta", but where to copy the "mods" folder? When copied to "C:\Users\xxx\Saved Games\DCS.openbeta", I cannot hear the sounds in this folder. In "C:\Program Files\Eagle Dynamics\DCS World OpenBeta\Mods\aircraft\Bf-109K-4\", there is now a folder named "Sounds.edc" and not like "Sounds" in the older mods. Can anyone help where to go the files in "mods" folder? Perhaps anybody can convert this sound mod that it is working again, or tell me where the files in "mods" have to be copied? https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/2113720/

Thanks for your reply. Yes, I bound all three buttons now. Would be great if it could work like in Dora module with two buttons. I play with the DCS openbeta and there is no longer a "sim" and a "none sim" preset. I think they changed it - there is now only one preset available. Perhaps it is possible to code within the lua file in order to make two-buttoned flaps with the Anton possible. I don´t know.. Can anyone help me with the greyed out rocket bindings in UI for the Hotas like I wrote above?

I want to map the 3-stage flaps to the Thrustmaster HOTAS device. There is a 2-stage button for flaps on my device. In control settings for the Anton is "Flaps down" and "Flaps up", but there is a red exclamation mark shown in the settings beside these controls. When I map it to the flaps buttons on the throttle, it is not working. How can I map "Flaps down" and "Flaps up" to buttons on my device? There is another mapping problem with the Anton. In control settings there are options to switch the rocket safety and the rocket jettison. But for the HOTAS throttle device, the cell to click in UI is greyed out for these options and I only can map these to an other device. Why is it not possible to map these two things to the throttle controller?
