I've got an X52 HOTAS I bought off ebay from a reputable seller. A few weeks ago, my stick started making squeaking/ rubbing noise when ever I move the stick. Furthermore, the stick seems to be inconsistent in regards to the force I need to apply. For example, it takes x amount of force to move to say, 50% deflection, then requires substantially less after that point. I've tried lubricating and cleaning it. I suspect the issue is due to the design of the plastic piece at the bottom of the spring. Anyone have any ideas? Thanks.

How do you attack tanks without getting shot up? I just tried a gun run on some T-55s, and they shot back. They didn't take down my aircraft, but they did take out the CICU and right MFCD with just a .50. Yes, I know I could hit them with JDAMS, MAVs, ect., but I wanted to try doind what the A-10 was made for in the first place: killing tanks with a GAU-8/A.

I live on the other side of town, but I've been out on that flight line a few times with the Civil Air Patrol. Never got too close to them, though (beyond the red line on the ground, the MPs can use lethal force.) I wish I had my camera at the time, but once while on approach to Martin State Airport (Warfield is Collocated at KMTN,) I saw a flight of four A-10s break formation about 1000ft above the 172 I was flying in. Also got two flights out of Warfield ANGB proper. One was in a UH-60, the other was a C-130, both with CAP.

So, I've been trying to fly the second mission of the Georgian Hammer campaign in the A-10C in DCS 1.2. I've been having issues with repeated CTDs about 45 minutes into the mission. The crashes seem to be random, and I suspect a bug is somewhere. My specs: CPU: i7-3630QM 8GB DDR3 RAM GTX 650 running DX11 As I'm still learning, I don't want to upgrade to 1.5 and learn to rely on a possible bug. Is there anything I can do to fix this issue?

I was just playing the second mission in the Georgian Hammer campaign. At one point, AWACS said I was merged and I was forced to engage. My question is: What the f--- are the F-16's and F/A-18's assigned to CAP doing? After merging with them, I turned to engage with Sidewinders. I launched the first missile (which, by the way, was slewed onto the SU-25,) and it tracks the FIRST set of flares he drops. The second missile does the same a few seconds latter. At that point, I tried to turn into him for a gun kill (which isn't going to happen when you have 3xAGM-65s, 2xGBU-12s, 2xCBU-103, and rockets on board.) Then he somehow made an off bore sight launch at me with an R-60. Is this a known bug?

Sorry if this is a noob question, but... How do you install user made missions into DCS? I tried copying the five files (total from the 3 campaigns) into DCS World>mods>aircraft>A10C>Missions>EN>Campaign. When I do this, the campaign does not show under A-10C campaigns or user campaigns. Thanks.

So I just tried landing. I managed to get the aircraft down began to brake using airbrakes for about the first three seconds of my roll, then wheel brakes. Below 100KIAS, it started to skid. I tried to counteract the skidding with NWS and opposite rudder, yet it continued to skid and started to roll. I managed to start a fire and kill the pilot while I was shutting down the aircraft. What am I doing wrong?

Off topic: Didn't this missile give the Soviets their first IR AAM? Didn't one of these jam into the tailpipe of a Mig and not go off?

I just bought this yesterday and I had the same issue. Then I hit F2 and noticed the speed brakes were deployed. Maybe that is the issue?

I just bought and downloaded F-86F Saber. However, when I try to install it, I get a popup saying that it is unable to install it into the older version of DCS World. This, after I just downloaded to most recent version. How can I fix this?

For some reason leftalt +` doesn't do anything, despite the fact its tied to the debug menu. Off topic: Does anyone know where the ejection files / scripts are located in DCS. I'm trying to mod the post- ejection controls to something more FPS- like.

Is there a way I can upload video of it when it happens, or do I have to just describe it?

I just downloaded DCS World and A-10C. During one of the training missions, I entered a dive from approx 12000MSL and was hit with around 10FPS. My specs: Intel i7-3630QM 8GB RAM NVIDIA GeForce GT 650M Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit Anyone know how I can improve frame rate. Its kind of hard to fly while watching a slideshow.
