  1. This sounds awesome! Only short-range missiles will be interesting. I recently flew on the open conflict server with an IR only setting and it was incredible fun. Now I am happier than ever that I am Redfor, we will actually have a round where Red could have the CAP advantage.
  2. In which plane is this?
  3. The same happened to me on Blue flag yesterday. Didn't hear anything in sr so I switched to ts to get gci guidance which can be quite frustrating when the servers are full. After transmitting something on sr I could hear the radio again
  4. I was about to reinstall the entire dcs client :D So I am more than happy that such a simple fix worked. Don't know how it got messed up in the first place though, can't remember that I changed anything. My issue was a little bit different from yours since I could not see the overlay at all.
  5. Wow, thanks dude! After trying everything to get my overlay back I read your post and went on to delete all SRS registry files. Uninstalled and installed again and... ... ... it works again :thumbup::thumbup:
  6. Again, thank you so much for your awesome work. Sadly, today wasn't a good day for me in DCS (besides getting my first kills in OP Blue Flag :) ), because SRS stopped working for me. I don't really know what happened, since it worked just fine yesterday and I did not change anything. For some reason I can't bring up the overlay no matter what I do and therefore can't change frequencies. If I toggle the overlay on I can see it when "alt-tab"ing and on the start bar, but as soon as I click on it it brings me back to DCS and the overlay is not shown. When DCS is not running nothing at all happens when I try to alt-tab to the overlay. I have tried all I could think of short of reinstalling DCS. Downloaded the latest SRS version, deleted the SRS stuff in the DCS folders, uninstalled, installed SRS again. I even uninstalled TS because I thought it could cause the problem. Sadly nothing helped. What I did not try today and will try tomorrow is to hop into my A10C and look whether i can change frequencies etc. with the radio there. that way I can see whether SRS is working and its only the overlay or if the problem is more complicated. Did anyone else encounter a similar problem yet?
  7. Thank you so much! Now I got it. Can't believe I missed that the guard frequency is set by the plane. But it makes sense :)
  8. Hi folks, I installed srs today in order to improve my blueflag experience & I love it. I just have one question regarding guard frequencies that I just can't figure out. I'm a su27 pilot. As far as I understood, guard mode allows me to listen to two channels on one radio, of course I can only talk on one. Is this correct? But how do I set the 2nd frequency? For example I would like to be on the atc frequency to communicate my take off and at the same time listen to the information the gci has to offer. Is this possible with the guard mode? I know I can enter guard mode by right clicking the radio (in fc3 planes) but when I change the frequency it changes the "normal" frequency as well. I am probably stupid and have a completely false idea what guard does, so please enlighten me :D thanks :)
  9. It was indeed a messed up joystick control file or something like that. I tried a lot of stuff and eventually reinstalled DCS. With my old joy config the problem was the same, with the default one it is working. The werid thing is, that the probleme was there even when the joystick was unplugged. Thank you for your fast help :) Really great community
  10. Thank you for your help, This was my first thought as well, couldn't find anything there but I will look again. The weird thing is that I had it working sometimes, but I don't know what I did differently. Another argument against this theory is the fact that i can only slew inside the pipper. In the vid you can see me trying to slew left and right, but it only goes a little bit before stopping.
  11. Oh, now it should work :)
  12. Thank you for yours answers! I know about SOI's and SIP's, but I guess my first post was a bit unclear. So i recorded a little video showing the problem. Sorry for it beeing a bit laggy, my cpu didn't like the extra load from the recording software. In the beginning you can see me right after I startet a mission. I startet in the air to make sure it's not a wrong start up procedure or something like that. Right after the start I try to slew the TDC around on the HUD but it does not really work. It is slaved to the depressible pipper. When I move it down or up it always returns to the pipper as soon as i release the slew hat. I can only move it left and right within the limits off the pipper. After that I hit the "return to boresight" button, but the results are the same. After that I look at the TAD. As soon as I switch the SOI to it it follows the TDC and zooms out, I cannot get it to zoom in again. The same can bee seen for the TGP. As long as it is not SOI everything is fine, when I make it SOI I cannot move the pod. I hope this makes my problem a little bit more clear :) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uHlNiEmVbp8&feature=youtu.be
  13. Hey guys, I started playing DCS a couple of days ago and I love it! I can start up the aircraft, take off, I even managed to shoot some none moving targets in the tutorial missions :D I can't land, but who needs that anyways... But I have encountered a problem that I couldn't find on the forums and even after reading half the manual I have no Idea how to solve it. For some reason my TDC (as well as the "cross" in the TAD and the crosshair in the TGP and MAV) always focuses on the depressible pipper. I can't slew them around or better said, every time I move them they move right back to the pipper as soon as I stop slewing. This is rather annoying, because it basically makes it impossible to aim with the TGP and the TAD is always zoomed out as far as possible because of this. At first I thought it was a problem with my Joystick (Logitech 3D Pro), but I had it working correctly in 1 or 2 occasions. I just have no Idea what I did different :D I hope it is understandable what I am trying to say, otherwise I will make a short video to demonstrate it.
