Sorry for the long delay in the reply. I am curious as to why the automated shut down sequence doesn't result in a clean state. I was under the impression that the auto shut down would fix up any of my messes up, so that I can try to restart the bird manually or via the auto start up sequence.

So I got the hang of starting up the heli, but I have a problem with shutdown and restart. When everything is up and running, I shut down the engines by using the red levers on the roof and then start to shut down things in the reverse order that I switched them on. Then, I try to restart the thing, and I can never get the APU to startup again. I even use the cheat to perform the scripted shut down and start. Even the scripted shutdown/restart cannot spool up the APU. I am curious on what I am missing.

Ah great. I missed this menu option :)

Hello, I am trying to figure out how to enable rudder trim just like in KA-50. I am using a FFB joystick and using non-FFB pedals. In KA-50, the trim will force the stick to stay in the current positions, while the rudder position will be just remembered as the pedals return to center. In Mi-8, I have the same stick behavior as in KA-50, but the rudder trim doesn't work. When I press trim, the rudder positions returns to center as the physical pedals return to center. Is there an option to make the rudder trim work just like in KA-50? Thanks

I am not talking about things like S-300 or the patriot. There are one or two player SAMs in the game (don't recall their names right now), which have a radar but require the player to visually locate the target before a lock can be acquired. Edit: Tor 9A331 is listed as a short to medium range SAM. http://www.armyrecognition.com/russia_russian_missile_system_vehicle_uk/tor-m1_9a331_sa-15_gauntlet_technical_data_sheet_specifications_information_description_pictures_uk.html This thing has a radar and can hit things 12km away.

So CA is out of beta. Did anybody check that some of the player controlled sams can support BVR engagements?

I have a regular Logitech FF joystick (Extreme 3D) and it has the same funky issue with trimming the KA-50. Haven't really tested su25T as now all modules take forever and a day to load.

Yes, my BS2 is an upgrade from BS1. However, I thought that it was irrelevant in DCS world as it was only needed for the first time activation. However, I wouldn't be surprised if the Starcrap DRM is the root of the problem here.

I have BS2 and CA. Now everything is very slow to load. CA loads are still tolerable, but BS2 loads almost make the game unplayable.

It takes me now 10 mins to load BS after the lastest update. During most of the loading time, the disk is not even active...

After uninstall and fresh reinstall of 1.21 DCS world and BS http://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/index.php?scr=product&ProductId=13&end_pos=136&lang=en it now works.

Same issue here. Also, it seems that TrackIr stopped working for Su25T. I can now only play CA missions.

So if I fly Convoy hunt using regular autopilot channels w/o Flight Director. So I use the trim button to trim bank and elevator. However, do I also need to use the trim button when using the rudder? Say I use the rudder to move a few degrees to the left/right. If I let go of the rudder, then the stupid thing starts going to the original position. If I hit the trim and then it sticks with that heading. Is this the way the rudder is meant to be used?

Thanks so much for this link. I installed it and now it works almost the way I want it to. I just need to tweak a few things, but otherwise its great. (I set up the FakeTrackIR mode)

I recently upgraded to Win7 Pro and Cachya stopped working. Does anybody run it in Win7 Pro?
