Hey, you're having the Logitech G Hub conflict bug:

Please read the following thread. You'll find a temporary workaround.

Yes that fixed it. Did not remove the software just closed it and unplugged the wheel. However not an option since I use logitech pedals in dcs.

  2. With the new update I noticed an improvement on the pitch control but the plane is super stable on extreme AoA, almost unable to stall the plane on very low speed. I provide this 6thGenMig21.trk with all my notices.

Still a UFO but more like a 6th gen now. I only wish we could have back the airplane we flew on 1.5 Mig has lost all the character once had.

  3. BadHabit, if you could somehow quantify or provide feedback in more descriptive manner (other than UFO), I can relay such info to Dolphin immediately.

Hiromachi, I am not an Engineer, I was just dissapointed. I provided the trk for you guys to judge. You can see my ipnuts, the take off speed and the continues cobra flight.

  4. My wish is that they take a look one more time the FM.

That they evaluate one more time, how the stick travel, commands the aircraft surfaces and the effectiveness off aileron and rudder in low speed maneuvering.

Every video I've seen like this great footage, brings me nostalgia of previous Mig21 versions. Expect the pilots are always flying with SAU Stability on.

Off course I believe that the module may lacks in various other systems as a realistic functionality, but the FM is the first thing We virtual pilots feel and notice.

Being always aware that my only flight experience are simulators and mig21 previous release versions and nothing more. But don't feel really incorrect.

  5. I just tried the 1200km/h climb and it got up to alt and max mach way faster than my usual plodding climb speeds. Was cruising at max half way to kobuleti from tiblisi this time. That was in a clean config.

Does anyone know the best climb speed with three tanks? Was barely climbing at 1100. Hard to reach 1200. It climbed a bit better at 900km/h, but still pretty slow. Anyone know the majic number?

When acceleration and deceleration is 0, at a certain rpm and pitch set up with any load, that is your magic number.

  6. With imbalanced payloads when disabling NWS after 75knots rudder does not have enough authority to keep you on centerline.

Aircraft will start yawing on the heavy wing making take off impossible.

Q: Shouldn't the hydraulic system of the undercarriage try to balance the aircraft when pressure of weight is more to one gear?

Below are two trk files one with a balanced payload F-16-T_O-Blnc.trk

and one with imbalanced (Fuel tank-gbu12). F-16-T_O-InBlnc.trk

  7. Hi another lucky owner of an overpriced EA module :megalol:

Not really complaining, I had an idea already.

As excited I may be of my new item and off the state of it, I am fine with most of the progress.

Anyhow, no bug report section yet, so sorry if a missed someone's else post about this.

    • First of all to be able to fly the aircraft properly I had to add -10 curve on roll and -5 curve on pitch on me x-52.
    • On asymmetric payloads will all expect gravity to be a bitch, but the funny thing, on T/O the heavier wing will pull you to the respected side..cause physics...and while you shake your head :joystick: and counter that with rudder, while on NWS, when you disable it for same "physics reason" you are out of the runway followed by alt-cntrl-dlt...
    • Last one I expect a on the way feature, CAT config won't warn you for about wrong setting ever.

    Still I am excited..!

  8. Air brakes are not included in damage modeling. You can land on them. Hydraulics pressure will not pull back even with full weight of the aircraft on them nor they take damage from a belly land, with the brakes deployed!

You can deploy them, belly land with them, retract gear and extract gear with no damage taken into account.

Deploy air brakes, retract gear, reverse sequence.

Land with gear retracted and brakes deployed, now extract gear and roll away.

One more thing I noticed regarding the flight model is that now we can pull above critical AoA (stall the ac) and recover easily with minimal alt lost, especially on lift vectors horizontal to the horizon. You can actually slide the ac in the air (like the old days :joystick:) .

The rebound after the stall is significantly reduced, noticeable immediately.

I provided a track which demonstrates both issues briefly. Nevada MAP wtfMig21.trk

    And the bugtracker link https://leatherneck-sim.mantishub.io/view.php?id=895

  9. From a quick search on YT:

The aircraft always wants to go nose down after the main wheels and you see the behavior also in the sim, you can force it to keep the nose up but this also will be short.

For this you need very fine adjustment of the stick, throttle and the use of air brakes (specially for touch & goes, this is what I do to keep the rpm higher and the decent rate true to landing config) at the time the main wheels touch and friction creates.

And if you don't know your AoA :P

  10. I can confirm the report from OP. It does feel weird and unnatural.

And if you don't believe it, just watch the full video.

Your timestamp is wrong, this talk is about the earlier model F-13.

This is the talk for the Bis

and he also comments for unstable Pitch and Yaw movement in which the stabilizer was used to easier the control.

  11. The "TDC" moves only up&down and seats on your heading, so yes you point your nose to the target.

You can move the TDC and choose the target yourself by placing the target inside the brackets and press & hold the lock button until it is locked.

If two target overlap or are very close you can not be sure which one you locked, maybe bird eye view (lock display) may give you some info on bandit position.

Also what I find useful in that situation, when a target is near but outside the TDC brackets and you try to lock it usually flashes as the beam tries to "catch" it so maybe that way you may now what you will be locking, more of a exploit but it works in times.

  12. I am having crashes (Microsoft Visual runtime errors)often when I open missions either straight from the editor or missions I edit in general. Today I took a look at windows logs and I got this. Anybody can explain? I can't understand why I am getting a fault on the p51_protect.dll since the module never loaded in either missions.

  13.

Control Panel -> Windows Defender Firewall -> Advanced Settings -> Inbound Rules -> Double click on all DCS entries. Then select ADVANCED

Check all boxes on the subsection "PROFILES"(I think this one isn't needed but regardless...)

Then at EDGE TRAVERSAL subsection(Still on the Advanced tab)

    Select "Defer to User".

Gave it a try and it doesn't work for me. Most settings were already the same. I can only join my own server or very simple with some amount of players or empty simple missions. Something bigger than that and memory of 16g is not enough. Games hangs on loading or after I join and experience what most of us do. Super
