I'm Hoping that after all the updates the UH-1H will get a once over visually and maybe a touch up to the PFM.. I mean the ole girl deserves it.. Also it would be nice if they redid sounds and maybe added ARA mods for aerial rocket artillery the 48 shot racks to either side of the Aircraft. Anyway is anything in the pipeline Devs.. Do Any other Huey pilots have a request or wish list items. Note: I'm sure this has been brought up in the past but i was flying my rotor wing aircraft and jumped in the UH-1H on a whim .. and OOOOFFFF she is getting long in the tooth so I thought maybe this may draw attention to it again. She's a good ole girl and deserves an update.

A/C-130 no go for multicrew but what about an AC-119K?
Giggling Doom replied to Giggling Doom's topic in DCS Core Wish List
@Kang I respect your opinion but I chose the AC-119 based on armorments. Being loaded with AP 20mm shells makes the aircraft viable against targets other than simple cargo trucks allowing it to be used in more varried situations also being equiped with a flare launcher and ilumination launcher along with IR spotlights for NVG work makes it much more versitile than the C-47. while if 7.62 miniguns were more effective i would be all for the C-47 i mean who does not like the Spooky gunship but both IRL and DCS the 7.62 is only effective against soft targets. the AC-119K was loaded with 2x7.62 miniguns along with 2x 20mm vulcan cannons allowing it to be effective against light and medium armored vehicals. also both white and ir spotlights have a fixed position and the weapons were fired by the pilot. Also based on eagle dynamics reasons for not making an AC-130 all engine instramentation was repeated fully fucntionaly on the 119Ks console so there is no need to worry about modleing a Engineer or they could create a simple AI to do engine management and callouts. otherwise everything else is done by pilot that is why i brought forward this aircraft. -
I would like to to put forward the idea of building a AC-119K stinger gunship for DCS. The AC-119K is no more complicated than an Mi-8 is twin engined and carries 2x7.62 miniguns and 2x M61 20mm Vulcan miniguns. also has a flare dispencer and both standard an IR searchlights. Weapons are fired and aimed by the pilot. This aircraft would be simple enought to control with just the pilot not requiring multicrew. the M61 vulcans can destroy most tanks in DCS and the IR searclight would be useful in support of other aircraft in night missions. This aircraft would also be useful enough to satisfy many of the people requesting the AC-130. I understand that ED does not find this subgroup of Attack aircraft high on its priorities it would be a decent middle ground. Also based on the Aircraft in the pipes we will have most things required to support a Vietnam campagne shortly. Please consider this aircraft. Also i would point out that while it is not as famous as a AC-47 or AC-130 it is a uniqe airframe and simple enought to be flown by a single pilot. pleas referance the Mi-8/ UH-1/ F-14B+ as aircraft that can be flown by a single pilot but actualy require multipul crew members for proper use. also i belive that this aircraft ( if weapons are made removeable could be used for cargo missions on some multiplayer servers. And is a good candidate for som interesting fictional missions on all maps. Thank you for the consideration and any supportive comments

Any get an updated eta or did I miss a post
-
Look I don't even need it asap I just want to get this pre-order going I don't think they will release it until at least a month of pre-order so throw it up there and use sales to decide release date based on that
-
P-47 ETA Hi all I know the P-47 is a bit of a niche sell In DCS ATM but I was wondering if anyone has heard anything about the release date. Since COVID 19 is messing with the schedule it was originally to my understanding supposed to be released in Q1. Any word on the new release date

A-7E VA-97 Warhawks - Gauging Interest
Giggling Doom replied to AcroGimp's topic in Squadron Recruiting
I would be very interested in your squadron. I have most aircraft in the game but have not specialized but I have a love of ground attack in modern simulation. I'm looking forward to the A-7 and the F-4 when it shows up.i would like to be part of a group that will help me get better with ins and other systems I just can't make a lot of squad nights because of my family and jobs. Give me more info I would love to get better as a Sim pilot -
Dear ED and all third party developers, I would humbly ask that one of you please please please model the A6M5 asn there is only one all orginal still flying. while it may not be the sexiest aircraft of world war two it was definatly iconic and influential. As there is only one more flying in Chino i would ask that a sim of this caliber model the aircraft for future generations and referance to an extent. This aircraft was a major player in world history. And lets be honest the Japanese deserve their predominant warbird be imortalized at this level of Detail. while i love the current warbirds with the F4U on the way it needs an op for and the zero should be it and there is only one left ... just one ... the last. come on guys respect your enemy or honor your countrys veterans not all wars are good or won but veterans are the people who put their lives on the line for the beleifs of your country at the time of the conflict. Do the ventearns proud and build a living digital statue of an Icon of WW2.

I respect all of your opinions the very reason i ask heatblur to do it is there is only one of them still flying ONE and the amazing level of Detail they showed with the F-14B.. i think one of the most influential fighter aircraft ever built deserves the best possible company to model it as there is only one remaining in an original configuration and they do naval aircraft very well obviously but i wil post this in the General ED forum as well.

yup thats the one

Dear Heatblur, While i know you have many things on your list of to doos please take a second and consider this. I know that the WW2 fans in DCS are rather small and because of that lower profits are an issue i must humbly ask you to do us warbird jocks a huge favor. Please oh please model the last flying A6M5 no other game or content creator shows the interest but it is the last of its kind an many documents were destroyed or altered or even forged during the war. while i understand that this is a long shot i must a least make the plea. as there is only one left flying to get the real story from and once its gone there will not be enough good intel to ever confidently do it again. Also with your amazing entry into carrier aviation i think you would be the best option for both interest and to do the Airframe proud with its naval aviation tradition. Thank you for reading this and even considering for a second.. Sincerely, W. Taylor aka Boxcar_Leader aka Giggling Doom
