  1. after some more tests,

     

    If I lower graphics settings and set these paramaters in graphic.lua :

    ExportScript.Config.ExportInterval = 0.08

    ExportScript.Config.ExportLowTickInterval = 0.8

    It's a lot better but not perfect.

     

    But not with the M2000... I had to set an even higher exportinterval to have a constant framerate.

    Yes, Ikarus screen is displayed but there is no update

     

    This would be normal because you have completely disabled the export of the data.

    The DCS ExportScript can slow down DCS World a bit.

     

    The program Ikarus should have no influence on DCS World.

    No. If Ikarus isn't started but the exportscript is activated, I've no shutter !

     

    Do you have the shutter even if the ExportScript is active, Icarus has been started and you are running DCS World in Full HD resolution?

    Yes. I am in full HD but not in fullscreen mode (option in DCS unchecked, otherwise my warping is going wild :()

     

    Do you have the same graphics card driver version on the PCs with Nvidia 1080TI and 2080TI?

    Hummmm, I think so, this is the last one from Nvidia (419.35). I will check the version of the first sim (the one that is running smoothly)

     

    You can test the following again:

    Fly with an airplane of your choice, save the track afterwards.

    Take a look at the track and remember where something jerks.

    Add the following line to the export file of the airplane after the version number (i.e. quite to the beginning of the file).

    ExportScript.NoLuaExportBeforeNextFrame = true

    Take a look at the track and compare it with your previous perception.

    Done : no improvement

  3. Ok, i've checked every single line in F15C.lua (\Scripts\DCS-ExportScript\ExportsModules), with no result. The only way to get rid of the stutter is to delete allmost everythings...

     

    I can't find the culprit so far

     

    But I am really noob regarding lua scripting (regarding scripting in general, to be honest).

     

    Is there something else to check with DCS ExportScript ?

    actually, I have 4 projectors and 2 LCDs in panorama mode (11520*1080). The 4 beamers use nvidia surround mode to be like one big screen for windows.

     

    This setup works well with my first sim. Everythings is almost the same regarding my two sim apart from the CPU, the GPU and the motherboard. The weird point is that the performance issue appear only with the more powerfull computer !

     

    I will follow McMicha advice and check if there is something to change within DCS exportscript config files. I allready tested one thing : If I deactive DCS exportscript line within export.lua and run Ikarus, performance are OK ! (but obviously, the avionic screen is frozen)

    I've tested without frame limiter (graphics.lua or via nvidia inspector). With these parameters, fps range from 55 to 150 FPS with or without Ikarus BUT, without Ikarus everything seems smoother. To be more acurate, when Ikarus is running, visually it's looks like the FPS are halved (even if the FPS indicator numbers displayed doesn't decrease !).

    I have some difficulties with one of my sim :

     

    I use 4 projectors and 2 lcd display. One of the LCDs are used with Ikarus for the avionics. All the screens/projectors are at 50Hz and DCS is also limited at 50FPS via the graphics.lua file.

     

    I have no problem with my first sim (Core I7 old generation with 1080TI) but, strangely enough, I have performance issues with my second rig (tested with two computers : Core I7 8700K and AMD Ryzen 2700X and 2080TI) :

     

    Everythings run well at 50 FPS until I run Ikarus ! When I run Ikarus, MSI afterburner or DCS are still telling me a solid 50FPS framerate but I clearly see a lot of lag and stutter on the 3d view (projectors). When I close Ikarus, everything run well again...

     

    Precision, I use the same config files/parameters on both simulators.

     

    Any idea ?

  7. Hi all,

     

    Today I reinstalled DCS 1.5.8 on a new PC with a fresh windows (pro 1809).

     

    DCS doens't want to start !

     

    It's look like it's due to the visual studio redistributable packages.

     

    On the same windows, DCS 2.5 works fine.

    On the same PC but with windows 1803, DCS 1.5.8 works fine...

     

    Any idea ?

  8. Gliptal, I've set the windows power management options to MAX (also in the bios). So no, there is no core freq changes. Temperature is fine. AVX offsets, don't know what is this thing ;-) I will check

     

    Majapahit, nothing weird happen in the task manager.

     

    To be perfectly clear, this is only observable "visually" : DCS and MSI afterbuner say 50FPS, but visually it's only 25FPS (estimated). And it happen suddenly for some minutes, then it's ok again, then it's bad again....

     

    I've tested with another motherboard (another chipset) and another I7 (a coffee lake too). Same problem. My guess : it's in retlation with the coffee lake version. I don't have the same bug with my first rig (with I7 skylake !)

    I have a new "mind blowing" performance issue with one of my sim. I use two simulators with the same hardware specifications apart from the cpu and the motherboard (one with a I7 8700K and the other one with on older I7 6700K).

     

    as indicated previously in this topic, My I7 6700k rig is running perfectly now (thanks to your help)

    The problem occurs with the one with the 8700K. I have allready tested every components, everythings seems OK.

     

    But :

     

    From time to time, the FPS seems to be halved, visually speaking. i.e, when I check perfs with MSI afterburner, it says that everything run at a solid 50FPS (GPU and CPU are at 85% max) BUT I can clearly see that that's not the case (25 FPS constant). 5 minutes later, it's again perfect...

     

    A detailed inspection of MSI Afterburner's graph reveal nothing

  10. Ok, it is really interesting ! indeed

     

    If I do understand, the problem with the FlamingCliff modules (in my case, the F15) is that there is no argument references anywhere ! Maybe I didn't find the correct file...

     

    My goal is to do exactly what DSPALLASVI do with the Huey :

     

    In the 'Conditions' column of ME, use the "X:Cockpit Argument In Range" and apply the above numbers:

    Argument: 219

    Min: 0

    Max: 0.1

     

    With the F15, where to find the Argument value regarding the RPM ?

     

    Anyway, your more goal-oriented approach is really interesting, I would like to try that. Your screencapture of the final report inspire me : but how to manage such a report ?

     

    It may be too much to ask, but could you provide me one of your mission file ? That could help me a lot to understant how works the ME in the case of a training mission.

    I am creating some training missions for the f15. I've read the manual and the cockpit triggers guide in order to achieve that type of goals :

     

    - I would like to check if a cockpit parameter are in range. EG : the pilote has to put 90% RPM. If he succeed, I would like to play a sound. Checking speed, altitude, heading... It's easy, but RPM ? I understant that it has something to do with the X-cockpit or LUA predicates conditions, but howto precisely for the f15? (Have I told you that I am noob ?)

     

    - If the pilot hasn't set the correct RPM, or the correct pitch attitude, I would like to force it automaticaly ! EG : The pilot has set 80%, a sound is played telling him that there is an error, and than automaticaly, the correct setting is set for him.
