I can understand that some mates (the majority?) like USED cockpits for aircrafts addons. I for one prefer NEW cockpits because at the beginning every aircraft comes in pristine condition from the factory. I would much appreciate that every addon comes with 2 options: USED or NEW. It is probably easier for the creator to modify the source files than community modders even if there are some talents. I would even pay a reasonable fee for a new cockpit (when not available by default) for the planes I like. For some planes (eg. A-10A or A-10C) the option is available but that is seems that is an exception. In terms of art, it looks like efforts goes mostly the liveries, and less in the cockpit whilst we spend most of the time in the cockpit. Just my 2 cents...

Thanks, much appreciated. I'm not very knowledgeable or confident with the BIOS and I don't want to break something, especially that my other sims run flawlessly. So I will think about it. Do you have other suggestions? Sure, as I said I excluded already the main DCS folder as well as Saved games. And I do not use any addon or software related to DCS and triggered by DCS.

Thanks, I had a look, there are some modified textures MODs for color, etc. I didn't see a MOD with a new pristine factory cockpit. And also, by default it seems to me that the vanilla textures are not crystal clear compared to other DCS aircrafts. Especially on the instruments and labels but maybe I miss something.

Hi, The DCS website says for the EA: Standard Russian new and weathered liveries in addition to Iraqi and Syrian schemes. My understanding is that only applies to the external model and not the cockpit. Because in the trial version I checked Options > Mi-24P > Special and there is only a dropdown menu with default or english cockpit. I was looking for a new factory cockpit...

Hi all, I'm retuning after a long absence... I'm running of fresh install of DCS. All is fine and I get a some fluid flights... except the loading time at start to get to the home screen knowing that I've set the program to bypass the Launcher. Start from desktop: 00 sec Login screen : 40 sec Nvidia ad creen: 42 sec DCS splash screen: 42 sec DCS home screen: 76 sec My PC: i7-14700KF, 32 Gb DDR5, 1.8 Tb SSD, RTX 4070Ti Super 16 Gb, Windows 11 I attach the log. I read the forum and already tried: - Full repair of DCS through the Launcher - Excluded \Program Files\Eagle Dynamics in my virus scanner settings (Win 11 default anti-virus) - Excluded \Saved Games\DCS\ - Deleted \Saved Games\DCS\ - Preload radius set to 50 000 instead of 150 000 (even if you see 150 000 in the current log) - Disabled completely antivirus ... to no avail. dcs.log

Personally I reverted to 2.5.3 because of a lighting issue that I could not solve in the latest stable version ie 2.5.6
