  1. I just disabled and unplugged my WLAN-USB-Stick, disabled my onBoard AC'97 and so on. I got hardly any services running at all. Nothing changed. So I can be sure there are neither conflicts with any of those devices nor they causing problems in any other kind of way. The PCI-Latency thing is still an idea. If I just knew where to set it. Although I don't know what it's supposed to change as I dont have any PCI-Cards. Please remember that the problem only comes up in MP. In Singleplayer it runs smoothly. bR
  2. I cannot find the PCI-Lat. settings anywhere. In the BIOS I can only set whether an IRQ is reserved for an actual PCI or not. Where can I change it (got an award-bios) I don't have any PCI-Cards anyway. Got everthing onBoard. I'll disable the AC'97 once to make sure it's not that causing the problems.
  3. A'ight. I contacted the Lomac Dev-Team. If they can't help me, I wonder who could?! I wish I could fly in MP - must be great...
  4. =Prophet= I am using a singlecore processor. Even tho, I tried to use ProcAff.exe to force the main module (lockon.exe) to one single (my only) core. Unfortunally it didn't work - the programm failed to start Lock On (not surprising: this Program is supposedly intended to be run on multicore machines). thereminqblank I got a ATI RX800 SE (256Mb PCIe), 2 GB of memory (Corsair) and onBoard AC'97 Sound. But let me say that I don't think that this has to do with these specs as it only happens in MP. Still, AMD - who I contacted - said that I should check my IRQ for Conflicts. I only found two (minor in my eyes):
  5. Original thread got lost due to a DB-crash I fear. So I recommence with conclusion done from the old thread: It's not a networking issue. The effect is the same as described in this thread: A periodical short (0.25s - 1s) freeze every fifth second in MP-Games. It's not a lag but rather everything freezes for half a second. Meanwhile, pressing ESC still brings up the appropriate menu even tho everything else is stuck: The simulated joystick, the view, particles rising from smoke-stacks etc. Specs: AMD 4000+ 64b Single Core Windows XP x64 HELP!
  6. Hm.. sounds quite similar. ****! Here some other facts on the issue: It's not a network problem. I got lags as well but this aint no lag - it's something else. On the freeze I can still press ESC and the menu appears without delay - meanwhile everything else in the game stops. Everything from rising smoke of the smokestacks, the animated joystick in my cockpit (which normally moves when I move my real one) to at last my looking arround, the closing cabinhatch and everything else.
  7. Nah, en contraire - thats great help actually . At least I can see a slight hope far away. So you got AMD 64 3200. Now what Chipset did you have? I got NF4U. Did you have Win 64 installed or only the default 32 operating system? ps: I contacted AMD support and hope they can help me there
  8. Please, I need help. Speak up if you got those specs and you are running Lomac without Lags/Stutters in MP mode.
  9. Even tho I dont have a multicore I tried Procaff.exe to fix that problem. But When I run it (you are talking about procaff.exe - don't you) it gives me an error (win-crash). Please help
  10. HL Port? Why the HL Port? The problem doesnt happen in HL but in the game itself. I dont think messing with the HL-Ports will help it  Is anyone else here who got an AMD 4000+ 64b processor like I do?!? you may move this to the tech-section of the forum as i think its better fitting there.
  11. The only firewall I ve got is my router. Tell me what ports need to be forwarded for a snooth gameplay and I will check. I cannot find a 504th server in HL. This problem is so similar to the one described in this other thread - the only difference is that I don't have Mcore. but I'm pretty sure that it still has to do with my processor - this similarity CANT be coincidence!
  12. Hm. Yes, Im using HL and I don't know what exactly you mean by "connection speed". I'n Lockon - where it goes "speed" under "Connect" in the network section I tryed everything from 128kb to 10Mb - the stuttering didnt change. Which speed is cosidered good for me? Furthermore, the lockon-page reads: quote: Patch version 1.12b also includes previously released patches and fixes: patch version 1.11 (marked with *), Ground Units LODs Fix (GU_LODs) and CLIENT NETWORK GAME STUTTERING FIX. endquote
  13. You speak your english fine - better than mine as im german. see: I wish your hints would make the thing get solved - but I fear they dont. from your first point on: I dont have fastpath. My connection is excellent and without any data loss (afaik) - other games - absolutly ALL OTHER games do run without a prob. Cant really tell the distance from that house to the nearest node or backbone, but I think it's okay as well - just as I said: Lock on is the only troublechild doing that kinda things :( Tools/BG-Procs? No - I keep a clean computer. Absolutly no BG-Procs running. En Plus mec: If there were any, that problem wouldnt only raise in MP but rather in SP as well, wont it?! getting it all together: There is absolutly nothing I may find which causes this problem. To me it looks like some odd kinda De-Sync that I cant figure. Maybe something with the processor as well. see here: http://forum.lockon.ru/showthread.php?t=20252 thats JUST my problem beside that i got no multicore but s-core. here go my specs: amd 4000+ 64b 2gigs ram windows xp x64 (maybe thats the issuemaker?) good enough grafics. thanks again - please help!
  14. That's right the problem! I read that other thread where the discussion about procaff took place. aight - BUT I GOT NO MULTICORE. I got a AMD 64 4000+ Single Core. I got some knowledge and tons of tools so if you got ANY ideas tell me!
  15. I probably ask this already. I got a 16,000kb/s aDSL Connection a good computer - but when it comes to MP playing that *** thing just lags. It's driving me nuts for real. I formatted my hard drive a dozen times, reconfigured my router. evrything works fine, but Lock on FC just WONT work correctly!!! In MP-Games I got stuttering all over the place. The actual performance is fine but each 5 to 15 seconds I got a short interrupt (~1 sec). For the sake of that game - tell me what's wrong with it!
  16. I installed the AMD-CPU-Drivers, yes. I chose those there: The fourth or something from bottom I fear LockOn has problems with x64. €: Hey Landsmann!
  17. I dont even have the CnQ-drivers installed! Going back to 32? No Thanks! I would feel like ** whenever i d remember i got a 64b processor for nothing :( But thanks for all the tips. I probably will format all in the next week anyway cos i do that like every month.
  18. uuuuhm why didnt yo tell before mate? so... how did y fix it then!!!?
  19. :D actually i can only tell i dont think I have one installed. i keep my computer clean and almost never had a keylogger or virus before
  20. of course not. just take a look at this screenshot i gave you. those are all the processes im currently running
  21. MOO! Yeah! Best game ever :D :D No I havent tried to connect to the internet directly. But i tried to connect only via land not via WLAN as i said. i may try sometime but even IF this d be the reason - i still need a solution because i just need to go trough a router. at least other games can be played without a problem.
  22. First part: Firing up LOMAC. The part where the green bar is at 100%: Idling in the main menu Rest: Shutting down LOMAC and taking screenshot.
  23. Ummmm... this problem turns out to go in a complete different direction: i surprisingly found out lockonFC is using up 100% of my processor ressources (as i said 4000+) even when only in the main-menu o_0 !!!
  24. fc. ps: i even tried to set all the grafics to minimum requirements - no change hey alvarez :) sounds plausible. you know a good tool to check out what its? as i said: i have shut down almost all windows-services - not to mention background programs. everything shut down
  25. Latest of course. What did you think :noexpression:
