The modules I have already purchased. SuperCarrier, CombinedArms, WWII Units, Persian Gulf, Nevada, F86, MiG-15, MiG-21, M2000, C-101, L-39, Harrier, F-5E, A-10C, F-14, F-16, F-15C, F-18C, CTII, Yak-52, F-5, P-51D, Huey, Mi8, Ka-50, MiG-29, All GPS, Su-25A. Having said all that, I will not buy the P47D and the Channel map until I see an improvement in DCS performance. And look, this is not just my opinion, but of many people I know.
Agreed.

hmm for me Jester does lock DL contacts if I ask him nicely (choose specific target)....
-
I wonder if they ever bother to fix it.

Can we now assume that PLAT camera has been removed from Stennis for good?
It is not listed any more as one of 'Known issues' in OB changelog as it used to be.

They did not give a flap signal IRL, it was assumed.
I've only asked because it is mentioned in "Anytime., Baby!" book which I am currently enjoying (a lot!) ;-)
-
For F-14, shouldn't there also be a signal for extending flaps?
-
hmm just checked, AI indeed starts chaffing when AMRAAM is launched, so it's the same as AIM-54.
Quite dissapointing! Thought it was only Pheonixes problem.
-
Why does it work differently for AMRAAMs launched in TWS then?
-
...But that doesn't mean it's active...
If it is not active on launch - why do AI bandits react to it like it was, instantly after it's off the rail?
-
Is there a reason why PLAT cam has been removed from non-supercarrier Stennis?
It is there in stable, it is not there in OB.

known issue, see the track:
https://drive.google.com/open?id=10HakktbdcllUsudlyc37GrFu6-JEdxTS
bandits start chaffing the moment you launch the missile and start manoeuvring a few seconds later.
-
Yep, at least for AI bandits
-
Yeah it's cool that you can easily crank and use TWS at the same time now.
If only Phoenixes didn't trigger missile launch warnings....

Thanks, I know there are ways to fix it, but I would really like ED to do something about it.
It looks much worse in a Hornet, however, I can live with it in 16.
-
Thats what you get from high antialiasing settings.
negative, even with 0 AA, it's exactly the same
No, I respect my fellow gamers. But if everybody had the blurred HUD it would be easier to find out what's wrong. With this situation it will be necessary to dig deeper. Maybe it's a question of graphics hardware or settings, who knows? I hope ED will engage to find out!fair enough, but if someone created a mod fixing it....should be common enough, right? :-)
-
Negative. I was not zoomed in at all. I only cropped the screen shot.
so... what you are saying exactly?
that there is no issue and we just made it up?
that the mod which has been created for 18 to fix it, was never necessary?
I really don't get it, please explain.
Saying 'works for me' doesn't really solve the problem for everyone else.
-
Did you mean 'unfortunately'? :-)
As it would be nice to know what has changed.
-
it is crisp when you zoom in, yes, but that's beside the point....

yep, it's been like this with Hornet for a loooong time now.

just saying it is cheeky on their part.
there are a lot of other planes which could have been discounted instead, if it was about gesture.
-
well, ED were consistently saying that Viper would not be on sale for a long time.
then we got 50% sale.
do those who bought it recently for a full price have a 'free choice', too? :-)
-
I also would like to thank Eagle Dynamics and all the other third party companies (maybe not VEAO and Razbam is coming to that status as well) for their hard work in making a complex simulator work.
If I was to name a few things I don't think ED deserves praise is this:
- Lack of refund policies, that clearly break local laws regarding consumer rights.
- A "Beta/Stable" business model that doesn't work and needs proper reform.
- A sense of mild passive-agressive censorship in these forums, not really by ED itself but from the users. Which just makes it even stranger.
Other than this, I can't help but think DCS is the best combat simulator around. But, also, where's the competition anyway?
Keep it up! :)
so true!
Roll SAS in BFM
in DCS: F-14A & B
Posted
I am not sure if this was discussed before (I guess it was ;-) ) but I always have been switching Roll SAS off before going into a dogfight.
However, I watched Keith 'Okie' Nance Q&A session recently, and he said it was not a good idea to switch it off:
So..... on or off?
