  1. So... I bought a SimPit solution that is... amazing really... and if you have a few dollars to spend you could probably just buy the black-pearl screen. The screen is everything on this and looks amazing plus you wont be worrying so much about all the bric-a-brac needed to make one. Double up on the remote for the room as well... yeah... thats brilliant! I need to do that.
  2. Aren't flight controls usually very sluggish at low speeds? I've found in small GA aircraft I have to move the control surfaces a greater deal for inputs. The A10 is heavy and slow which would mean especially in a high-drag takeoff situation the plane will be at a state of maximal drag and minimal lift making control inputs much more extensive. Stick and rudder flying over fly-by-wire... it never looks quite as good ;)
  3. I play SP but admittedly I would gladly pay a few dollars more to have an MP included for future sake. Payment for hard work is reasonable; we spent all this cash on computers and hardware and in my case curved projection screens and button boxes and other errata. Paying for something legit to do... I'm down.
  4. I'm not an expert but best I can tell the duplication happened because the A10 between the multiple iterations added, removed, and cannibalized from other aircraft, various modules that left some duplication like this. My assumption is that before the highly functional HOTAS concept in the A10c the A10a probably did not have the button on throttle or vice-versa. Probably easier to duplicate a button over remove one. remember this IS a government airplane ;)
  5. Sick, thank you so much! some of these smilies are hilarious in here... is this... what I think it is? :joystick:
  6. Hello all, and before you ask, yes I have looked on the forums and I find a lot of outdated info so I'm asking for help. To preface; I currently have a sim pit, Obutto Ozone with my TM HOTAS and rudder pedals that don't fit the Obutto (working on this)... but am at the point where I am moving into a new home so disassembled my sim. I figure this means "upgrade", right? So, I stopped playing for a bit because I was very frustrated trying to look around with my TrackIR and hit specific switches. I'm not super tech savvy so imagine there was something I was doing... anyhow... I ran across this Helios software (not easy to find, by the way, appears to be freeware now?) and was considering buying a touchscreen monitor and making a dedicated "front panel" for the instruments and such. So my questions... does Helios still exist in the sense that it works with DCS A10? Are people using it? Are there prebuilt profiles (again, not good with this stuff)? Is there a newer or better software? Any idea what kind of device I need and where I can buy one? What about this iControl stuff? Is anyone using it and does it seem to work better? Worse? Pro/Con? So much of the info is out of date so looking for honest opinions and current info. Thanks all... Ive been away from DCS a long time and highly considering coming back. Cheers! inserted because its pretty ridiculous: :pilotfly:
