  1. Unfortunately that would cause far more lag than the lag you were looking for... :) Made an update on way to work this morning. Can anyone confirm that jtac is still working and you also get extra details for jtac status now? Haven't had time to check but it looked ok this morning.   3. No it doesn't. As I said, I'll optimise it. :) It won't search that often - it's a carry over from old script I forgot to change. For example ewr scan time for airbases is 1 minute scan time which works without issue. All ray tracing / distance checks that we control will be optimised and staggered ( so they don't all run at the same second which would lag) Sent from my ONEPLUS A3003 using Tapatalk
  4. You can but we wont :) It ran completely smooth with the first version of the new scripts and also ran smoothly up until recently, with troop drops and the saving of dropped units. As someone said earlier, ray tracing - as in line of sight calculations are expensive CPU wise. Anything that exists in DCS adds to that burden (AI is looking for stuff, Radars looking for stuff etc) Major changes have been addition of new bases, Mistral Gazelle, addition of units on map and DataLink I forgot to optimise ray tracing that is used by the JTAC system - this will currently iterate through all units of the opposite side and calculate distance. As the unit numbers have increased, so too will the time taken for this function to run. While searching for targets, for each JTAC, this function is run once every 5 seconds. I'll optimise this when I have some free time, as there is a much better method - which probably won't be till Tuesday as im away from tomorrow. Once thats optimised - if its still laggy, then we'll work back through the versions of the missions until its stable again. DL wont come back in the meantime though as we need to rule that out completely. Just because its laggy now, doesnt mean that DL wasn't also contributing. Once its lag free, we'll start building up again.
  5. Map Reset - Red Won DataLink was removed last night as that and the combination of EWR sites looks to be the cause of lag and it seemed much better after removal. When lag was reported last night, there were very few units dropped but quite a few EWRs. Not sure if it's over a certain number of EWR sites running DL or EWR sites times Su-27 numbers times number of targets but to be on the safe side it's gone for now.
  6. I'm not saying no to it - there used to be a cap on AA systems for that reason too. Just doing timer first . If it still lags after a while, I can then see what the number is that's too many and set an appropriate limit under that number.   7. I described implementation earlier in thread, just haven't had time to build it yet :) Will be timer based - different length per unit type and they won't be removed mid round, only at restart. For ease - Moltar help can explain from last year as he did a good post on it :) https://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=2873572&postcount=872 Reduced Fuel is also to reduce fighter spam, and nudge people to use the actual quick reaction fighters (mig21 / F5e) as already said above for quick defence. It also doesnt affect all aircraft - only dedicated fighters.

On BF - Mirage is not classed as a Quick Reaction fighter, thats for the Mig-21 and F5E If you want to get up in the air quickly, you dont have to do an INS align at all (you have a compass and / or F10) or just do the shorter 4 minute one No need to be a sarcastic about it - It's your choice to wait for full alignment - the server does not force you too.

Blue get an 8 block of slots of helicopters in general which are: 2 - Gazelle Mistral 3 - Gazelle M 1 - Gazelle L 2 UH1 Guduata I missed editing but the rest seem ok - If you see other 8 Blocks Missing a Mistral PM me or post :) Sochi doesnt have Red or Blue Helis on purpose Other airfields also don't due to the abundance of Farps. No idea why - moved slot.
  16. The RED Farp slots havent changed... Of course as one of the admins I have complete control over Blue & player numbers. Having seen nothing but "there are too many RED" complaints for the last week or so, I've now pressed the MOAR BLUE players button - that I just held back because I like seeing rage on the forums. :P Yes Mig-29A - not a joke Yes slots - not a joke. Airfields & Farps are pretty much final other than captured airfields
  17. Troops shouldnt be able to be moved - it causes lag. They need to be dropped straight onto where you need them - not walked in :) That we know - otherwise we wouldnt do it. It just gets a little tiring sometimes to read through all the pages :) It is great though that there is a passionate community :thumbup: Red do have DL for flanker - they just have to deploy EWRs from Airbases for it to work Should have updated map at next restart. All airfield slots have been redone, as have hopefully all Farps (added Mistral). Slots at captured bases will likely be worked on a little more but starting bases are pretty much final now. Please let us know if you see: Odd / incorrectly named slots Inconsistent or incorrect defences at a base (preferably without calling me an idiot :P ) Spawns on runways or otherwise blocking spawns Edit: Repair system is also different now...

Ban them! ^ This is my summary of the last 20 pages or so.... :P In other news - Mirage is not supposed to have 100% fuel, its now not classed as an interceptor in lives (mig21, f5e) - we just didnt get round to reducing fuel & sorting skins for it :) In all seriousness - We do really appreciate feedback, and try to keep it civil towards one another. :) Think we're just on the edge of civil! :P

  20. The slots are being worked on. Fixed bug just now where persisted units weren't re-spawning properly. I think i've said repeatedly that the number one goal is as little lag as possible :) - but there is a difference between lag spikes (spawning, disconnects, reconnects), and consistent lag every minute or at a set interval. Wired connection is what I use - for me in the new BF i've yet to see any consistent lag and its a massive improvement over old BF Someone mentioned they see lag every time there is a server message - This is mostly true. usually a server message is shown when a base has repaired, or something has spawned (dropped troops, bombers etc) - This spawn causes a tiny lag spike and there is nothing we can do about that - other than not spawning things.... :) Things that cause lag: Spawning - Missiles - Units etc Sensors (radars) Movement (AI Path Finding) Amount of players Connect - Disconnect of players Player spawn of an aircraft thats not yet been used (model load) Scripts that check positions or do a lot of work in one go ( we got rid of all of these) Mistral Gazelle - I've had a few PM's about this. Again - What I said was i'm happy to swap out the L gazelles at each farp for Mistral - but I need a bit of a consensus before I do. I dont fly gazelle - I don't really know the variants or what people want. L & M was asked for, I put L & M :) You can lose one L and have one Mistral + L per farp if you all prefer. As you might've noticed - Im quite new to doing the map stuff, the other guys are busy so i'm doing my best to help out. Someone earlier called me an idiot - I am at the ME. Scripting is what I do - So please bear with me while I slowly sort it. :)

  22. Not implemented yet :) It should do... When the radio goes live, the file of that radio name should be automatically loaded. I'll try to reproduce but last time I checked it was working. Could you post the radio file that isn't loading? Hmm it should save but it's based on vendor id rather than instance id which is I think the issue.   23. Just a slight correction - there have never been any compatibility issues with any updates of DCS as SimpleRadio doesn't edit any core DCS files. All dcs updates can and were applied without issue for SRS :) Sent from my ONEPLUS A3003 using Tapatalk
