is there likely to be any patch or mod for the road border textures? the reolution of the road edge textures seems a lot worse than for the other texture tiles?

with a new pc and vista home premium - I was hoping to enjoy a similar improvement as fsx shows after a vanilla lock on install fron uk cd then the web downloaded flaming cliffs add on - the install appeared to go fine it was only when trying to begin the game that I had a box come up saying starforce protection was not compatible with vista - is there a patch or work around? that I need to use
