Ok I have a question... But I also will list what I am doing and how so it may help someone else with similar issues... I start computer...I disable all apps I dont need running such as printer whatever... Then I run Config tool for Rift make sure I am set to extended mode... Then I close then I exit the program in taskbar as well...(if not DCS Crashes) Next I open the DCS program, it loads up... (I have been able to play and fly for well over an hour and a half...) However, I would like the people that can see my laptop to be able to see what I am seeing in a single view on screen... I also am having one heck of a time just starting the game. It opens I have selected as follows, (tried both ways Full Screen and not) The helicopter is floating in the air stationary, I have the pre flight briefing window I can see. When I run without Rift I can use the mouse to select start, it tells me to select start by pressing Pause / break Key, I could beat it off the computer and nothing happens, In fact I have cycled through so many buttons I think hitting the ESC key is the only thing coming close, if I get something right all of a sudden the chopper starts flying and I am away... So here are the questions... 1) How can I set up the main screen on computer to display whats going on in Rift as single image? if not possible in double bubble mode...??? 2) How can I start it from the Briefing window? I did program a button on 3D controller to act as Pause start but it doesn't work, everything else I programed does. I was mostly running it in Full Screen I am attempting to find a way in windowed mode to use mouse or find the correct Key or Keys to start flight... OK any help is greatly appreciated...Links are welcomed... Mark

I am happy to report that I was able to update the modules and I also found this thread...To aid me in the set up of the Rift... http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=134177 Which then allowed me to fly in simple Game Mode the BlackShark Heilo... Which was pretty cool, I am having a problem with starting the sim though, since my mouse will not click on the start and when I select Pause Break Key nothing is happening...I hot some button on the keyboard somewhere, hard to know with Rift on my head and I was able to start outside Helicopter then I had a switch set for controller to put me in cockpit view and Hud so I was able to then fly spent a while I said screw work in am Ill do it on three hours sleep....so I am getting there slowly, the rift almost can make you motion sick..lol pretty cool though, I did not do too bad hitting targets, and found that the game version was easy to control and fly...I will get better as I learn the system, I am happy I was able to get the Rift connected I was going to wait...\ Mark

I know I know...lol I just got a Rift, with DCS and I am attempting to use a Mouse with a 3D logitech Stick, temp set up... to start off with I am getting better at setting up my Rift but have no idea where to start with here... I will be getting the B206 with real chopper Cyclic stick and Collective with foot controls soon... Right now I think It would be better to start of with simple instructional on how to set up DCS for Helicopter I have UH1H and BlackShark, since I worked on UH1HDs in the Army in Avionics may be best for me to start with that sim. I also worked on Black hawks but I think the UH is where I should start learning. I also need to learn how to set up the 3D Logitech which I know is a bit challenging. I will worry about the Rift after I can take off fly and land... When I look on this site for Manuals and such I am overwhelmed with exactly where I should start and what I should set up first... Please advise and I will read until I fall asleep. Help me by giving me a link to click with reading material since I am so Green I am not even a Sprout of Grass yet I am just the seed being thrown to the wind at this point and need direction and a way to approach so I can do this in steps. I have 0 Knowledge in this whole ordeal but am looking forward to learning it... Someone please be kind enough to send me into the right directions as total Nubbie to this world here... Thanks I figured the purchase and keys out, support reacted very quickly and set up the correct Email for me so I am good there... I will see if I can find the manual you speak of..lol I think I am going to like it here , also I have two web sites running Vbulletin so I am very familiar with its settings I already have my ride posted up in an albumn as well a s Profile pic and an avatar...lol By the way, I saw Limp Biscuit in Woodbridge when I lived in Chantilly, man there were a lot of Fine babes at the bar down by the water and the docks...

Never mind I am watching now, I dont know he seems to throw the stick to the right and have quite a bit of lag time for the platform to react, however it does look pretty promising he also seems to need to center since he sure looks like he is staring left a lot... Wicked set up, but he also needs longer cables..lol that would drive me nutts, In the end I think its a pretty cool step in the right direction any movement is better than none, and it looks wicked... Now I am going to read about configuration of the Joystickl for chopper flight and to learn how to take off and land later...lol

How are you setting the DK2 up Direct or Extended mode in the CP of Rift? Also how are you setting the Game to run Direct to Rift or in windowed mode or split screen? Lastly (I clearly Have one and it is tricky some times to get all this correct..lol) How are you setting it up inside of DCS??? Thanks for the help. I love this stuff and bought the same Simulator I saw on UTube DCS, then, I bought the Rift DK2 and last I bought the B206 which will take a while to get here. Then I have to learn how to configure that thing up to all work together. Right now I cant even figure out how to configure a 3D logitech Joystick to accept the left and right and forward and back motions of the joystick..lol Not to forget I just built an Alienware Laptop 4700 I7 with 770 Nvidia and they told me that wouldn't work either with Rift. But I got mine working excellent with 75FPS 1 TB of SSD HD 1 TB of SSHD HD and 64gig mSATA with 32 gigs Ram... All of the computer work in last three-four weeks, Rift for about a week now. DCS yesterday and tonight I bought to modules UH1H and the BlackShark... So its a lot of reading configuration issues out the butt, and MUCH more to look forward too including, Learning to really fly a Helicopter, which I can do in real life control wise (got to take off land and hoover and fly with a Pilot in the Army) and I installed Avionics in Blackhawks but it has been 20 years..lol Ok sorry I threw up in your thread, but hey I dont see many other Rift users here right now...I got excited... I just paid for UH1H and The BlackShark modules, I recieved a confirmation only from Pay pal??? I figured I would get one from the site stating my Keys for use to unlock the mods. I found it for some reason it saved my email with an error but I found the codes..I will copntact to correct e mail I tried to edit and saved but still did not see change..No biggie I have to work in am anyhow...

What is it a Demo? I was in one..lol It was in DCS World, I click on edit mission and add Helicopter then scrolled down there are actually 2 different AH64 and AH64D, I selected the AH64D then I was flying. I could throw the throttle up and down and affect the helicopter, but not what I would call control it by any means... So am I missing something. I did say I am brand new, I had downloaded them three times that a lot since my anti virus was removing key components prior to installation I finally noticed it since I was up at 2 am when it did a scan and I searched the history... Anyhow, I am brand new to all of this so please continue to help... Thanks...

Does anyone have a set up guide for this. I had to switch to an Airplane in Easy mode just to fly something, I could not get the helicopter to even lift off... When I attempt to set up the controller clicking on the edit menu in the CP I can set a couple of switches but Cant get the system to see when I move stick in any direction such as Left for fly left. I just got the controller and Just also downloaded the Sim DCS as well as Just learning all about The Rift D2K which I also own... My end Goal is to buy the Max Flight Set up B206 with the Real controller handle(grip) on the Cyclic stick, and fly using the Rift as shown on U tube here... Right Now I have the Rift working and think I can get it to run on DCS ... I need to set up the new controller never even owned one before so thats a challenge. Also I have never flown Sims ... I am new here this is my first post so Hello and if you can point me to a sequence of events and setups so I can learn this all so it makes sense I will follow your leads.... I am persistent and will try it over and over until I succeed.. I was told I would not be able to run Rift on an Alienware Laptop with Nvidia and I did that so p[lease help me set up this joystick...so I can Fly people..lol Thanks and its nice to see so many interested in these things...
