Hello! I am in need of your help, Viggen lovers! I want to ask you if anyone knows what type of airfoil the Saab-37 Viggen uses. I need it for a school project and so far i had no luck in finding it. A picture of it with dimensions, or maybe just the name of it, would greatly help. :smartass:

I believe i am on IPv6. Should i change it to IPv4?

The problem persists.I do not know what the problem may be but i miss flying on servers.All i can play ATM are single player missions and campaigns :( .Nobody knows a solution for this?

Ok so i do not know what kind of black magic this is but now,for the first time in 2 WEEKS i have been able to join and play on a server, the server being one that i tried to connect to before without succes. This is strange since i did not change anything regarding my pc, my internet or the game itself! Maybe its just mother nature wanting to make me look like an idiot on the internet! :D Now i hope it will keep working, if i get the errors that i used to get again, i will post the logs here! Hello! I do not know with what update did this problem start since i didnt touch the multiplayer for quite a while, but as of now, i am unable to connect to any server what so ever! Basically what happens is i connect to the server, get to the plane selection screen and the game just freezes and i get kicked out to the multiplayer menu with an error message. The error messages have been varied so far but all of them contained the words Time Out. I have tried a number of different servers, all with ping below 100 and the same thing happens with all of them. Has anyone experienced this and what can i do? I am desperate to fly multiplayer again!

Hello!I recently tought of starting the cold war warrior campaign for dcs as it seems to be really nicely made and the su25 is a plane that i own for quite a lot of time but only recently got into.I have read on this forum before that the mindset that i should he approacing this campaign with is to just do one pass,drop everything on the target,hope for the best and head home.In the first mission i see that the payload consists of 4 S-25 guided missiles,some unguided rockets and free-fall bombs.For my playstile i would prefer to use just unguided rockets and bombs.Would i ruin the campaign experience if i am to take the weapons that i think suit me best?Is the campaign supposed to be played with the weapons that the creator gave us?

Has anyone figured out or knows any guide on how to use the manual targeting for the mig 21 in dcs?I know it is something about setting the angle at which you will dive using the knob on the right of the gunsight,but that is about all i know.I can see it has different marks at certain angles with the names of different weapons.Are those the recommended dive angles for the weapons?

Hello!When i try to set target size in AA mode the piper doesnt change size anymore.Has this been like this forever or is it something new?From what i have read the ASP gunsight is not yet 100% accurately implemented.What is it that doesnt work as it should yet?

Do the 3 life support controls on the left do anything,and if yes should i mess around with them?

Hello! I have read that russian interceptor pilots where trained to fire 2 missiles at a time,1 IR followed by one radar guided.I tried doing the same thing in the mig 21 in dcs and i was not succesful.Can someone confirm if this was/is possible or not in the mig-21 bis?Thank you.

Hello.When DCS 1.5 first came out it was working out just perfect,getting a steady 30 fps compared to the 15 I was getting on the old engine.Since 1.5.1 update the game just lags horribly both in mp and sp. It is literally working worse than the old engine used to.I get a max of 8 fps with lots of freezes and audio cuts.What is the problem? Could I do anything to get more fps like I used to? THANK YOU.

Well 50 km is far more acceptable. At 25 km a russian pilot would just have to push 10 km until he is in r-73 range.A American pilot even less so until he is in sidewinder range.

Hey,I will soon pre- order the Mirage 2000 and I was having a look at its armament on this forum.So from my understanding in terms of air to air weapons it can carry the Magic 2 short range infra-red missile (5 km range) and the R530 short to medium - range semi-active radar guided missile (25 km).Now,compared to Russian or American missiles in game these missiles have a pretty short range.How do you think the Mirage-2000 will compare to the f15 or the su27/mig29 on servers? :pilotfly:

Hello!I recently got interested in Flaming Cliffs 3,mainly the Sukhoi 27 module.It is quite difficult but I really like the plane. So,I saw this video : I found it really cool the way he keeps the enemy plane pinned down with a constant stream of missiles.I tried replicating this by going in the mission editor and placing an enemy f-15 on high skill level at 180 km away coming my way.So as soon as the battle starts I climb fast so that I have atleast a 2000 meters altitude advantage on him.As soon as he is in range I pop my first missile, slow down,place him 60 degrees on my left or right,count 15 seconds,turn in,shoot a second,place him on a 60 degree angle again and so on,just like demonstrated in the video. PROBLEM: What ends up happening is that I shoot 3 or 4 missiles and the enemy f-15 simply dives and pops chaff and dodges every single one of them.Then he points his nose up and spams me with amraams.I try to dodge them like in the video,waiting just before the last final signal stength bar on the rwr,and I am succesful with the first 2 of them.The thing is he spams me with like 4 of them,and eventually one of them gets me. What am I doing wrong?Please help! Thank you very much!

Hello i recently bought the 109 for dcs and i come to yu with some questions: 1.When i start a mission on the ramp after i start my engine i enable the master arm next to the ammo counters,i set the ammo counters and i remove the trigger safety on the stick but,i can only fire the 30mm cannon.When i press the button to shoot the mg i only hear clcking noise and nothing more; 2.When on the ground after startup i put the radioator on closed position but when i go to outside view the flaps are still fully open.Is it normal? 3.Is it possible to mount gunpods or rockets yet? 4.When i activate the mw50 the engine instantly stops.Why?
