  1. I figured it out. There's something going on in DCS and windows 10 that makes the game crash every once in awhile. Whatever mission I was on gets stuck in the kneeboard. I tried just clicking Users/Me/appdata/dcs/ but couldnt find it anywhere in file explorer I typed in the address manually and it appeared...deleted the dcs folder and it works. For now whenever the game crashes I have to manually do that every time....at least until I figure out whats causing the crashes to happen. Thank you so much for your help....I hope you take this as a compliment to your great app that I was so desperate to get it working again....I don't like flying without it.
  2. It looked like it worked for a second.... Because it was only displaying Black Sea Flight. I deleted that folder and then jumped into Smerch Hunt...checked and awesome...its displaying smerch hunt. Jumped into the campaign I'm working on...and sadly its displaying Smerch hunt again. This is a totally fresh install of DCS...not sure what to do. How can I 100% make sure I removed all the old kneeboard files....I want to try a fresh reinstall. Thank you for the help.
  3. Thanks for the reply. I couldn't find that file in my app data. Sadly I'm on windows 8.1 is there any issues with that? Thanks so much!
  4. I just deleted everything that had kneeboard on it...ran DCS repair. Now when I try to update it windows shuts down the app. help....
  5. Keeps showing the same mission Hey! Great app! I recently had to reinstall DCS. I deleted everything from Kneeboard and reinstalled. The waypoints are showing up just fine....but for some reason the mission and radio data keep showing a mission from "Ramp start Black Sea" mission. Please help! I became so dependent on this app I almost don't want to play without it!
  6. Hey guys, I'm trying to get rid of my bezel gaps and decided to try and use Softth. After following the directions I'm given a config file of: [main] renderResolution=3240x1920 nonlocalFormat=RGB16D keepComposition=0 smoothing=1 debugD3D=0 zClear=1 vsync=0 tripleBuffer=0 screenshotFormat=jpg dllPathD3D9=auto dllPathDXGI=auto dllPathD3D11=auto [overrides] forceResolution=0 antialiasing=0 processAffinity=0 FOVForceHorizontal=0 FOVForceVertical=0 [head_primary] sourceRect=1080,0,1080,1920 screenMode=1080x1920 [head_1] ; Autodetected as \\.\DISPLAY2 at AMD Radeon R9 200 Series devID=1 sourceRect=0,0,1080,1920 transportResolution=1080x1920 transportMethod=auto noSync=0 [head_2] ; Autodetected as \\.\DISPLAY3 at AMD Radeon R9 200 Series devID=2 sourceRect=2160,0,1080,1920 transportResolution=1080x1920 transportMethod=auto noSync=0 I'm running 3 23 inch monitors in portrait mode. The center one is a touch screen. The outside monitors render just fine...but the primary is very stretched out and the resolution is different from the other two. I'm adjusting values but it seems like the only thing I can manage to do is move what square is being rendered. UPDATE: Well I tried the Softth config tool and it came up with this: [main] renderResolution=3480x1920 nonlocalFormat=RGB16D keepComposition=0 smoothing=0 debugD3D=0 zClear=0 vsync=0 tripleBuffer=0 screenshotFormat=jpg dllPathD3D9=auto dllPathDXGI=auto dllPathD3D11=auto [overrides] forceResolution=0 antialiasing=0 processAffinity=0 FOVForceHorizontal=0 FOVForceVertical=0 [debug] compatibleIB=0 compatibleTex=0 compatibleVB=0 [head_primary] ; borderA=0 ; borderL=120 sourceRect=1200,0,1080,1920 screenMode=1080x1920 [head_1] ; borderA=0 ; borderL=0 devID=1 sourceRect=0,0,1080,1920 destRect=0,0,1080,1920 transportResolution=1080x1920 transportMethod=local noSync=0 fpsLimit=0 [head_2] ; borderA=0 ; borderL=120 devID=2 sourceRect=2400,0,1080,1920 destRect=0,0,1080,1920 transportResolution=1080x1920 transportMethod=local noSync=0 fpsLimit=0 I tried switching it to fullscreen and holy shit did I get excited... Everything was the right resolution....all lined up...perfect...but..... I couldn't click anything. The Mission GUI didn't pop up and if anything it looked like it would allow me to type text into the document I had open behind it. Pressing pause technically started the game...but I still couldn't interact. Please help... I have R9 290x and windows 10.
  7. Because its a hack job lol...probably a much more elegant way to solve than what I did lol.
  8. I thought about doing that...but I've always entered whole numbers into the cdu. like when its xxx/xx for heading and speed...can we enter a decimal point?
  9. Hey Guys. I'm not that great with EXCEL but I tried to take all his information and plug it into an excel spreadsheet. Maybe it will help someone out. I suck at math so I needed a faster way to get to the meat of it. Plug in the information that the mission gives you in the green areas and it should spit out the right stuff on the bottom. If there's any obvious mistakes please let me know and I'll try to find a way to fix it. Thanks! https://www.dropbox.com/s/exyivdsrxtw9uv7/LASTE%20workbook.xlsx?dl=0 PS the preview looks like utter shit...so download it for it to work....don't judge me on the preview.
  10. Hey sorry, I live in New Jersey US. Seems like a lot of the VFW's I was interested are home across the Atlantic heh. I have verizon fios which has served me well, but I'll probably have to check pings and latency.
  11. Thanks for all the replies! That settles that I'm grabbing the Warthog, I liked my X55 for what it was, but it doesn't seem to be accurate enough around the center for what I want. I do have trackir and a set of CH flight pedals as well so at least I only have to spend the 400 bucks on the warthog...only 400 heh. I don't know why I was so nervous about posting for the first time here. When you play solo its hard to gauge where you should be and I didn't want to waste anyone's time with stuff that I could teach myself. Have a great day everyone and thanks for the replies!
  12. Hey Guys, I've been flying for about a month now. I really got into this, studied my ass off. Read the manual twice, ran all the training missions twice. Spent HOURS watching youtube videos, printed dozens of checklists, and even went to Staples and had a 40 page checklist and instructions book laminated and bound so I can use dry erase on em. I taught myself how to fly and at the very least become decent at: 1) All weapons, their profiles, inventory and delivery (including using the laser range finder for GPS bombs) 2) I can enter waypoints, elevations, DTTG and DTOT, LASTE, Windage, in the CDU learning more every day. 3) Land pretty well VFR, getting better at ILS bad weather night landings. (crabbing is hard for me) 4) Use the targeting pod effectively, broadcast my spi, set markpoints, etc. 5) Working on Aerial refueling (I think its a curve issue with my x55) EDIT: I can start the bird and shut her down by memory using all game switches and no keybinds. I've done a few missions, Smerch hunt, sitting ducks, surrounded, both easy instant actions, 2 bridges, and started the Maple Flag BFT campaign. What I'm afraid of...is that I'm 100% self taught is that I'm building bad habits because I'm finding ways to get things done. I really want to learn to do everything the right way because my end goal is to join up with a virtual squadron and play with the big boys one day. I guess the TL/DR is...if your a flight instructor or a virtual squadron looking to pick up a highly motivated A-10c flyer whose doing his best to become the best...send me a PM Thank you so much! Pantaros PS..is it terrible that my x55 is only a few months old and I'm already got a greedy eye on the warthog hotas? Is it worth it?
