  1. I cant disagree with that. If you are going to build a specific plane it only makes sense to build it accuratley in all aspects and I should probably learn to appreciate and be satisfied with how the model behaves knowing that it is accurate. I am just wondering if the devs take into account that a sim no matter how accurate it is, cant reproduce the physiological inputs and feel of real flight. So, should they...and maybe they do, take into account in the design, a need for a sense subtle movement in the aircraft at all speeds. Some of the mods do this better for me than others, but thats just me. For someone else it will be different. I am going to tinker with the axis settings as the other poster has mentioned.
  2. Hello. No experience, well 1hr in a 172, but that's not much help. This is purely subjective. I personally prefer a looser feel. For me, on my system, of the aircraft I own, the jets with the best feel/illusion of flight are the SU25, SU27, A10C, F-86 and the Mig21(before 1.5) not necessarily in that order. I have no knowledge of aircraft design, physics etc and Im sure that on paper, the build and design of this aircraft is modeled as close to the real thing as possible, but we cant experience the real thing, all of the stimuli of a real aircraft behind a monitor, so I like a plane that will create the best illusion of flight that we can possibly...even if on paper its not correct.
  3. First let me say that the graphics and beauty of this aircraft is stunning inside and out, but I'm going to risk all of my reputation power on this comment (Oh wait, I have no reputation power)...but I'm going to say it any way, I'm a bit disappointed in the flight model/physics/dynamics. Its a bit too tight, like its on on rails for my liking. I prefer more of the illusion of floating, roll and movement with stick movement and direction changes. I wouldn't be too concerned, but this is the PFM, so I'm assuming no changes are forthcoming? Nevertheless this is an incredible aircraft that will see a lot of hours in the sky.
  4. I got to questioning myself on on my card memory, so I found the box my GTX 760 came in and I was wrong, it is actually 2GB. So I am fine there. I wonder why some of us are having issues and others are not? I have most of the other aircraft and the Mig 21 is virtually unusable for me right now.
  5. Good to know that I'm not the only one with performance issues. I will have to beach her until there are improvements
  6. System specs: XFX 780i, Q9650 3ghz OC'd to 4.2, 8gb RAM, Geforce GTX 760 1gb I get very good performance with most all aircraft I am running low to med DCS settings
  7. Ok...that explains it. When missions are available the icon will be there. Until then we can fly missions from the mission editor. Thanks
  8. I am not tracking framerates so I dont know if that is the issue, but in 1.5 I am getting some kind of a performance hit. I can tell immediately from the cockpit on the runway when panning 360 views from the joystick, the movement is glitchy, not smooth at all. When viewing the ground in flight from the cockpit the movement is not smooth...stutters. When viewing the aircraft in 'fly by' view it is also not smooth...small stutters.
  9. Thanks...told you I was slow. Did the repair, got the C-101 back, however the plane is still not available from the mission page, there is no C-101 icon to select. I created a mission in mission editor, remapped my keys and joystick and found that it works if I fly from the mission editor. So it indeed works, but it would be nice if it was available to select the aircraft from the mission page. Maybe a glitch that will be fixed eventually. Good to have the plane back and functioning.
  10. Thank you for confirming that it should be working. I just deleted it from mods and coremods, which I hadnt tried before, but now the C-101 is neither showing as installed or available to install in the mod mgr? Its gone. Im not familiar with a repair, but I will research how to do that. I hesitate to try it, as everything else is working pretty well aside from the C-101. I will report back if I find a resolution.
  11. I can be really slow sometimes so bear with me...Ive been looking through posts and it isn't totally clear to me...is the C-101 supposed to be functional in 1.5 right now? If so, it is not for me. Its not even available to select on the missions page, yet it shows that its installed at the bottom of the main page and in DCS mods folder. Ive uninstalled, Ive reinstalled, but no luck. I found that I can get it to load in a quick mission and it will take off, but nothing functions, flaps, gear, lights, control surfaces etc...please tell me its not working and we are waiting for an update. Thanks
  12. Just discovered I cant map the wheel brake to a joystick button on the C-101. Haven't flown other planes yet since update, but it appears the wheel brake is still mapped to the joystick button I assigned on all other aircraft except C-101. Tried deleting the cfg but it still wont allow me to map the wheel brake.
  13. Hello For example when taking off from Batumi I will hold aircfraft low over runway after takeoff towards the ocean, allow some speed to build and as I pull back quickly for a 20-30 degree climb-out the sim will stutter/stop/pause for a millisecond. If I do a normal very deliberate, slow 5-10 degree climb after take off it is fine. I have had this same pause occasionally when turning while taxing on runway. I think this issue tends to occur when near or at airports, but Im not sure? It will also happen in flight if I attempt a quick, but somewhat moderate performance climb from level flight. My DCS settings are pretty low for better performance and it doesn't happen with other aircraft. I hope this info helps? Any ideas? Thanks
  14. I love this aircraft and it would be my favorite, however just after take off or in flight shortly thereafter if I try to make a moderate but quick pull back on the stick to do a an aggressive climb-out /pitch up attitude I get a brief pause/stutter, which is a downer for immersion. Once in flight for several minutes it seems to improve when I try aggressive climb/pitch up changes again. I have several high end DCS planes and this is the only mod where this happens. I'm hoping that future updates and or the new DCS version will cure this? I am surprised that I have not seen anyone else post this same issue?
