  1. As per the title, I've downloaded the 2.5 updated multiple times and any time I launch it asks me if I want to update to 2.5 from 1.5.8 with another 13GB download. Is this a symptom of the 2.2 uninstaller failing to run or something? Getting tired of wasting data.
  2. With the Gazelle multi-crew now out, and with the Mi-8 being the beast that it is, I would love for the Magnificent 8 to get the multi-crew it desperately needs. How many times has this been shot down as on now?
  3. No, because that completely defeats the purpose of that functionality. The solution is not in SimpleRadio or keybindings in any form. The solution to this problem is being able to prevent the F-5 Mic Switch and NWS buttons from bringing up a communication menu. Doing anything to simpleradio will STILL have this issue occur. I get it, I can very easily bind a button for my PTT, but that's not what I'm trying to do here. I want to be able to mouse over the in-cockpit mic-switch, click it, and not see a communication menu. That's the issue. Ignore anything that doesn't have to do with preventing that automatic communication menu from appearing.
  4. I'll explain again: Both the Mic Switch and NSW button (gear up only) Bring up the communication menu. They are not pressing the "Communications" menu keybind, it's an automatic function of the in-cockpit buttons themselves. I can remove all bindings to anything related to the communication menu and these switches, by design, bring up a communication menu. Ciribob has stopped all support for the Teamspeak plugin and now has a standalone version that integrates with DCS cockpits. For the F-5, he has managed to make it so that when these buttons are pushed (Mic Switch/NSW) SimpleRadio Standalone behaves as if the radio PTT is being pressed. This has absolutely nothing to do with any keybinds. I'll say it again, it has ABSOLUTELY NOTHING TO DO WITH KEYBINDS. Is there a way to modify the actual function of the IN COCKPIT BUTTON to prevent the communication menu from coming up when the IN COCKPIT BUTTON is pressed and/or can we get this feature as a menu option under special or something.
  5. I fully understand why these switches bring up the communication menu, but could we get an option to prevent the menus from coming up? SimpleRadio just integrated those buttons as PushToTalk buttons for the F-5 and I really hate having to turn the menu off every time I press the button to talk in simple radio. A setting in the menu would work perfectly, or point me to the file that could change this.
  6. To confirm, you've tried disabling Force Feedback in the options? If so, the main issue is that DCS is trying to export force feedback to something and it causes the stick to get stuck. Unplug anything that may vibrate or use force feedback in some form or another from your PC.
  7. UPDATE: I disabled vJoy and it started working. Unless you need it for something, go into your control panel and disable vJoy
  8. UPDATE: I've maybe fixed the issue; if you have vJoy enabled, disable it. This fixed it for me. Not sure what it's doing ont he backend though
  9. This issue is apparently known, though I don't have the link to the thread saying so. If you're in a sever/mission that allows external cameras, press Alt+J (default) twice to exit and then select your place. I have no idea how to prevent it from happening at all and a lot of people are *convinced* it's just the Force Feedback option but it is DEFINITELY NOT THE FFB OPTION
  10. Any updates on this?
  11. ED: Please release a fix for this, even if it's a dev going rogue and posting some .lua file changes.
  12. I gotta say, I'm having this issue and I don't even have force feedback devices turned on. Please get this hotfixed, I can't even play in multiplayer servers.
  13. See, this is something that should be stickied on these forums. When I say I searched for two weeks, I mean I scoured the web in all the logical places I would find something like that. The ED main site Downloads section? Honestly not one of the places I would ever look. That contains missions, skins, mods, etc...I would not expect a tutorial on editing Lua files to be in there.
  14. Ultramfcd, for me, does not display the exports properly. They update once every 20 seconds.
  15. I will also be posting and linking a thread to customizing controls and what the values in the LUA files do. I'm positive the documentation for all of that is hidden deep within the recesses of a Dev's mind
  16. They are not easily found, apparently. I spent at least two weeks searching for decent tutorials but finding only threads that were out of date. That thread is also 4 years old and does not contain all current information on the topic. To be fair to myself, I will be editing this topic with information other than MultiMonitor setup.
  17. DISCLAIMER: This thread was written in haste before a rehearsal I had to get to, but I was fed up with the lack of documentation regarding DCS I am aware that there are better guides by PeterP, but they are significantly out of date (2012 is pretty out there, even though it's 3 years off from today) They do not contain information that applies to aircraft other than the A-10C or Ka-50 --BEFORE MAKING ANY CHANGES TO A FILE, BACK IT UP-- Recently I've been having trouble finding any actual help or tutorials regarding the setup of multiple monitors and extracting MFCDs and other in-game displays. The answer are actually pretty simple, but no one in the DCS community seems to post their solutions anymore, SO I decided to start myself a thread that may/may not help users set up DCS when they have multiple monitors in (hopefully) ANY configuration. My problem: my monitor setup is 3 monitors in this order - 1920x1200 - 1920x1080 - 1920x1080 I wanted to get the MFCDs of the A-10C to the left and right of my monitors, but my 1920x1200 would have a 120 pixel bar of my desktop at the bottom if I had the resolution in game set to 5760x1080, or my main display would have 120 pixels extending off the bottom if I had it set to 5760x1200. I tried to have it only extend on to two monitors to get both MFCDs onto the monitor on the right, but it was expand halfway into both the left and right monitors. Solution: The bar really annoyed me, so I did some research and created a new MonitorSetup.lua as follows in the .../DCSWorld/Config/MonitorSetup folder NOTE: My in-game resolution is set at 5760x1200 NOTE2: In the following code, do note that the X co-ordinate of '0' would be the left-most side of my left-most monitor according to the windows multi-display setup. NOTE3: pixel coordinates increase to the right and down. Positive X values are to the right, Positive Y values are down on the screen Selecting this monitor config in the options removed the unsightly bar on my 1920x1200 monitor while also giving me the MFCDs and a central game view that didn't extend below the screen. It is possible to export other displays. I will update this thread with that information in the future.
