  1. We came across a bug last night with the Hawk that was reproducible on two different 1.5.6.1938 servers and caused the DCS process hang for the server and all clients connected. As we tested: while on the ground, a client player ejects from the front seat of the Hawk. Then the client player ejects from the rear seat. Immediately the DCS process on the server freezes. Task manager shows that the DCS process begins to rapidly utilize memory until the computer begins to thrash and becomes unresponsive. This is also experienced by other connected clients whether they were spectating the incident or not. Unfortunately, there are no good log files generated from this and the process never actually exits on its own to generate a crash dump. I'll try to add more to this if necessary after others have attempted to reproduce this bug.
  2. What's the status with this bug? Is there a workaround? We're still getting multiple crashes per day, sometimes per hour.
  3. We did some casual four-ship formation aerobatics, late Sunday night. Footage is raw and unedited, but fun to watch. Sure was a lot of fun to fly! ${1} Edit: embedded link may not be working. Use direct link:
  4. On the 1.5.3 VA server, I've been repeatedly having an issue where in hours two or three in uptime, my DCS client frame rate quickly slows down and freezes. The DCS client is completely non-responsive and has to be restarted after tabbing out. This might be a few minutes into a flight (after takeoff from Anapa) or during flight near other aircraft. The problem disappears when the server restarts. Is this a known issue? Is there anything I can help with to diagnose the issue? I looked through logs in /Saved Games/DCS/Logs and nothing stands out, but I'll generate a fresh set and see if I spot anything.
  5. I've often heard it takes a minimum of 40 hours to fully understand the quirks of an airplane, and these last few months flying the F-86F have been great fun. I am linking, for the DCS F-86F flying community, a checklist that I've put together which contains a full set of condensed normal and emergency procedures derived from the Air Force F-86F flight handbook. I've arranged it to emphasize good organized cockpit flow, stripped out some elements that are not relevant to flight simulation, added other useful gotcha items, meanwhile ensuring that certain steps are performed in their proper sequence. Also included is an airspeed quick reference for various flight conditions and emergency conditions. The PDF is meant to be printed single sided, two pages per sheet, in a horizontal page order. Cutting the printed pages in half (and some minor trimming) allows them to be inserted into a 10 sheet 5.5 x 8.5 bound sheet protector, which I've found to handle real aircraft checklists quite nicely. The ones I use are Staples branded, which can also be found through Amazon. Download it here.
