  1. Just encountered the same problem. I thought I am buying a mature module considering the Mig21 has been out for so long but it does not seem to be the case , disappointing!
  2. This server seem so to go offline randomly as it happens right now. Even though 8 active players were on it and it is Saturday afternoon European time:( Anybody experience the same problem?
  3. found a server called "Cold War" something. was on it yesterday for a bit, we were only 4 players but it was still a lot of fun. unfortunately at the moment I cannot find the server anymore:(
  4. Sometimes the bombs drop fines and sometimes, without doing any differently, the bombs are just not dropping. I use following settings(see also screenshot attached): 1. ARMT POSITION SELECT: rack of 5 in the center is selected 2. EXTERNAL STORE: BOMB 3. MASTER ARM: GUNS, MSL & CAMR 4. SELECT JETTISON: OFF 5. BOMBS ARM: TAIL It happens most of the time after a successful rearm. Am I doing something wrong? Does anybody has the same issue?
  5. on bombing, is it possible to use fuse with a delay e.g. 2s or so? i keep blowing up myself doing low level bombing
  6. finally the mig21 got the perfect match up and sadly nothing available to practice against real pilots. Fighting AI gets dull very quickly:(
  7. le'ts say internal fuel only(50%), two sidewinder on the wingtips and medium hight, let's say 15k. what would be a good speed to be at? does it really depend on the altitude if we look IAS?
  8. What are good servers to be on with the F-5? I have read ACG has a dedicated F-5 vs Mig21 server but unfortunately it does not show up in my server list, latency might be to high anyway from Sydney. Any other suggestions? Thanks!
  9. They must have changed the sample, earlier videos have the Vulcan like in-cockpit sound, newer video have the more WW2 style sound. Would be very interesting how the two samples compare to the real in-cockpit sound of firing the guns. Unfortunately I could not find any in-cockpit footage firing the guns but that's how they sound from outside: The entire video is definitely worth 13 minutes of your time:)
  10. Nope, he has not any mod, see the comments on his video. And actually on external view(F2) my guns sound like his guns as well, only on the cockpit view I get this weird WW2 style gun sound
  11. I have noticed my guns in the F-5 sound differently to the guns of the most F-5 clips I have watched on youtube. On most of the youtube clips you can clearly hear the rotational movement of the revolver canon. In “my F-5” the guns sound more like these from the F-86 for P-51D. Doing some researches I found two clips with a different cannon sound, at least in my ears;) Example how my guns sound like: Example for rotational sound: Isn’t this clearly a different sound or is it just me?
  12. Yes, Ctrl-Y does toggle between IAS and TAX on external view, thanks!
  13. Ah, this was what confused me. I was sure I saw higher numbers on the external view before flying the F-86 at high altitude. That is exactly what make me think the F-5 is so slow. Will check if Ctrl-Y does the trick, thanks heaps!
  14. makes absolutely sense, thanks:)
  15. Ah, i thought the external view shows the ground speed, thanks for clarifying. I have noticed the discrepancy between knots and mach. I think the machmeter showed around mach 1, which is 1064km/h or 574 knots at this altitude. Does this mean in higher altitude I should ignore the knots on the gauge or external views and just look at the machmeter to get a sense for the true speed? How does the aircraft determine the mach number? Does it use an different sensor than for the knots which apparently gets affected by the air pressure?
