  1. I am comfortable with downloadable programs, I have nearly 200 Steam games and more on Origin and UPlay. I just find that I don't really feel like I've bought something if I don't have something physical in-hand. I don't have any problem with downloads, just I prefer physical boxes if they're the same price.
  2. The reason I like physical media is because with a download I don't feel like I've bought something. If I take money in a bank account and exchange it digitally for intangible goods, it doesn't really feel like buying something. I don't see any less money in my wallet and I don't see physically that I've gained anything, where if I go and buy something physically at a store, my wallet is lighter, and I've got a physical, tangible product in my hands that I didn't have before and it feels more like buying something. Plus I like boxes. :)
  3. I guess you're right, I never really considered the fact that joysticks aren't really analog in newer fighter jets. I guess it still may be present in older warbirds but for newer ones no. I was thinking more of cars where it goes right to the wheels.
  4. Now all we need is infantry... we'll probably never see it but I would drool if we do. I've always loved the Arma games but I feel that the aircraft and vehicles aren't as simulation-grade as I'd like them to be, seems Arma's more about the tactics, and if DCS had air, land, sea, infantry, it'd be a true Arma killer.
  5. Am I the only one that feels force feedback makes it games a bit more difficult? I mean, it's cool and all, but... I will admit I've never used force feedback on a flight stick but I have used it on a racing wheel and I find it very challenging to race with. I'd assume, that if you're in a plane that happens to need manual aiming, it'd be a nightmare... is this the case?
  6. One question... are you using the Shkval display when this happens? It's a real framerate dropper because it causes the game to have to render two different renditions of the same high-quality scene.
  7. I don't believe you will be able to get a physical release, that's just something that smaller companies (by smaller I mean in comparison to ones like Activision / Ubisoft / EA) don't really do anymore. I don't know why all you guys are acting funny about his request for one... physical copies are nice to have and although they may not be as convenient as downloads, it feels like you actually own something. It's nice to have something to put on your shelf... I just bought Rainbow Six Siege the other day at Best Buy, and I brought it home and put it on my shelf next to some of my other Clancy games such as Splinter Cell Conviction... after all these years they are still using the same nearly identical spine design so they all look nice together on your shelf. You don't get to appreciate that sort of thing with a digital-only download, as convenient as they may be.
