  1. Sorry about the confusion on this page. Thanks for the clarification and for being patient with me. I make sure my IFF is active and then I lock on a target by pressing the "throttle designator controller depress" (1 ID). Then I press the "sensor control switch depress" (2 ID). When I do this enemies are still showing as squares or unknown. The weird thing is about 1 out of 20 tries they will show as a diamond in the HUD and red on the radar. I also followed the video step by step (kind of confusing what is going on there). I go the the SA page and I find the target I am locked onto. Then I press all the depress switches I can with no avail. The video does not use exact names for switches which adds to the confusion.
  2. I seriously have no idea what you are talking about. Unless the Hornet recently got a huge update. I dont know anything about colors on the attack radar screen or anything about that. All I know is that enemies are supposed to be diamonds in the HUD and they show as squares on mine.
  3. Just got the Oculus S today, great upgrade... Anyways, Still having the issue of enemy showing as a square in my HUD instead of a diamond. Did not have this issue a couple months ago. BTW IFF and Datalink have to do with navigation.
  4. Anyone else notice that the latest update makes it so that the attack radar shows everyone as "friendly"?? Or is this just me??? I would have put this in the update section but apparently I don't have enough privilege for that.
  5. So if I understand correctly, trim controls AOA (which is automatically maintained once set or do we have to constantly adjust with trim?), and throttle controls rate of decent or where the plan will essentially touch down? Do I understand this correctly? BTW, with Mig 21 and A10 I have always used throttle to control landing AOA... Have I been doing that wrong too??? Should I use trim to control AOA for those planes as well?
  6. Some tutorials say when landing to control your AOA with throttle... Others say to control AOA with trim.... Any clarification on this? Thanks
  7. I seriously cant find the thread for posting questions about the mig 21 from Leatherneck simulations... I just have a few questions with that....
  8. Sorry, I see what is going on now... my bad. Strange how I have done this a hundred times and now I get tripped up after taking a break for a while... Thanks for your help "Advanced Waypoint" is what I need
  9. One of those .Miz files follows these instructions. http://en.wiki.eagle.ru/wiki/Mission_Editor:_JTAC_%28Joint_Terminal_Attack_Controller%29 I also remember being able to setup JTAC without using "engage group"... The method for this is also in my attached .Miz file.
  10. Would you like me to record and open ALL those .Miz files showing that that NONE of them show up on my radio menu?
  11. I have used triggers before in mission editor. I have got JTAC to work using the methods I have in my .Miz files. I never had to use triggers in mission editors to get JTAC to work NECESSARILY. As you can see in my video, I played the game... Nothing shows on my radio menu. Were you able to get JTAC on your radio menu using any of those .Miz files without using triggers?
  12. Here are my .miz files My created JTAC unit is the only ally in the middle of the enemy forces. Axeman @ 31FM Please take a look at how they are setup, keep in mind that non of them even show in my radio menu. Jtac 1.miz Jtac2.miz Jtac3.miz
  13. I opened the .miz file in the mission editor but I did not notice any assigned JTAC units.
  14. For those of you who thought I was crazy in my last thread. Here is a video of JTAC not working in mission editor. Notice the various methods I used in trying to setup JTAC... Any advice?
  15. This is DCS World OpenBeta 1.5.3.53108
  16. I just loaded 5 "create fast mission" all of which was equipped with JTAC. I used only ground targets. I started as a fly over point. I circled for a couple minutes. I called JTAC several times and was told there were no targets... I have a bunch of AGM 65D and GBU 12... What is going on I am about to loose my mind...
  17. Also, when I use mission editor to create JTAC automatically I cant locate the actual JTAC units on the map. Its like the mission editor creates "virtual" JTAC units. The reason I am so interested in creating my own JTAC units is because I notice they do not have any jobs for me while I am playing the game. Even though their is a full blown war going on, they basically tell me to go home. So, I want to create my own JTAC units so I have a reason to use the simulator... Any help or suggestions or shared frustrations?
  18. Anyone else finding that they cant add and get JTAC to work in mission editor Beta. I cant even get them to show up on the radio menu... BTW I am applying this to DCS A10C
  19. This has happened to me a couple times now. I enter the JTAC coordinates and the target is 800 miles away. Anyone else have this bug or am I just doing something stupid?
