Hi This morning i started up DCS with the view of purchasing the new F16 plane. I recieved the following message when i tried to log on online. Cannot exit offline mode due to hardware ID change. Ask for support. Nothing on my laptop has been changed, exact same hardware. And on top of that, all of my paid modules are disabled. How do i fix this? Thanks

After updating to 2.5.4 im now getting Authorization is valid for 2d 23h 56m when it first started after the update i got a message saying F15c and Navada are disabled. I logged in online and now they are available but im still getting the authorization error and there is a ticker which is counting down in the main menu. I tried activating F15c and it said its already activated, When i tried to activate Navada there is nowhere to enter the key like there is for the F15c mod. Any suggestions? Thanks

I went and bought a 55gb mobile broadband prepaid sim for 20 bucks, now I can update everything. I checked the other day to see how big it is from 2.5 to 2.5.4 its over 24gb. Now I can update it. Thanks

would this work? if i moved the maps to another location then tried to update it, or would it just download the maps too?

I thought about a fresh install but decided to go for the update. The fresh install is 20gb plus modules (see post above) and the update from 2.2 is 15gb so not really that much difference.

thanks ill have read of the thread now edit just read it, ill modify that file in the morning then see, hopefully it updates to 2.5. what ill after that is ill start to download the Nervda map then stop it and then copy the map folder from 2.2 to 2.5 hopefully it all works well. thanks

Was it a HUGE download? And can the terrain be copied over from 2.2 or do you need to download that too?

Not too sure whats is happening with updates so ill ask the question. Im on ver 2.2 is the 2.5 update available for my version? I tried updating yesterday but the updater says its up to date. Can only 1.5 be updated to 2.5? Thanks

Is it possible to download a terrain module within dcs 2 and then without activating it, move it to another PC and then activate it? Because of the size of the download its more convenient to download it on my laptop then transfer it to the desktop. Thanks

I didnt run a repair, it may have picked up the problem. Ive worked out whats wrong. Somehow the file structure was wrong. Inside the bin directory in the root directory contained all of the same folders and files from the root directory. The difference was that the files and folders in the bin dir where up to date and the same files and folders in the root dir where not up to date. Im thinking that when i update DCS its installing all of the files and folders inside the bin dir and not the root dir. I moved all of the files and folders from the bin to the root dir (which included the correct bin folder) i then tried multiplayer and it worked! I also noticed that there were lots of changes in DCS which i didnt see before, maybe because they were in the work folder. Anyway, after all that, thanks for input guys, its now working.

I have added port 10308 in the firewall, i deleted dcs_updater.exe and then added it again to the Allowed programs in the Firewall. I also added Run.exe to the allowed programs. It still didnt work. Ill move the DCS folder to the desktop like Sideslip suggests, ill let you know what happens, thanks.

Thanks Yurgon, i dud see DCS.exe in the allowed programs in the firewall but i will remove it and add it again. Ill also check to see if port 10308 is nit blocked. Thanks, ill report back soon.

Im sure this has been asked before, ive searched online but cannot find a solution. How come every time i try multiplayer i never find any servers? Ever since ive had ver 1.5 not once has a server ever showed up in the server list. 1.5 is up to date. If i type the ip in manually, it cant find the server. Help please. Thanks

Has anyone worked out how to install the F-15C Basic Flight Training Qualification? Its no longer for sale and comes with the licence file. Ive installed it into both Single and Campaign folders but it does show up in DCS. Just wondering if anyone can shed some light on it. Thanks

It actually runs pretty good, i had a problem with throttling after 30 mins of gameplay on my old laptop, this one no sign of that just i expected more out of the battery.

I own a Gigabyte P55W V5 laptop, i get just over an hour of single player gaming on DCS 1.5 which is terrible, does anyone know if the the new graphics engine in DCS 2 improves laptop battery life? Also is it possible to have DCS 1.5 and DCS 2 installed on the same machine? Thanks

Does anyone know if its possible to download the updates with a torrent client and not with the DCS Updater? Im currently on 1.5 and the update is 4.7gb which is too big to download it with the DCS Updater with my slow internet connection. With a torrent client i can download it when i can and torrents also support resuming. Thanks
