  1. I own a Rhino FFB and downloaded the Viggen a few days ago in Trial mode. So, I'm pretty new to this module, but one thing I noticed is that when I trim the nose up, the stick moves slightly forward (contrary to the trimming action). The same thing happens with the nose-down command. Apparently, this behavior cancels out the trimming, resulting in no noticeable change.

    Trimming left and right works fine—the stick tilts to the left and right as expected.

    The altitude autopilot (assuming it works like the F-14's) has no effect, and I haven't been able to get it to work so far...

    Also are you using the Rhino’s own FFB or DCS’s DirectInput FFB? If the answer is both, that could also cause an issue like that.

    I mean the Spring center effect.  Not external program... just the DCS direct input.

    As soon as I spawn, the stick is pushed fully forward. I have to recenter the trim. before moving.... quite annoying

  3. Occasionally, when I respawn in the Tomcat (A or B), the Trim keep pushing  backward/forward.

    I try to recenter with the controls (hat switch of my FFB Rhino) but as soon as I release the button, the AC seems ignoring the input and keep pushing the stick.

    This happenes several times expecially when I respawn on the ramp with engine on. I have to reboot DCS to restore a good functionality.

    I monitored the events and it works like this:

    1. After take off: with full AB, the trim start pushing backward.

    2. At high altitude, at very low speed and high pitch angle, commanding the trim nose down, it keeps pushing down even I release the button.

     

    anyone with the same issue?

  4. Yeah, I guess it must be something wrong with the implementation for Force Feedback centering logic.

    Obviously a quick workaround is to invert the aileron trim assignment and it works just fine. 

    ...but, It would be nice if developement team could put a patch on this.

    I'm pretty sure it is not a lot of work...

  5. Don't know if this was already reported... I installed this module few days ago for a trial period.

    I noticed that the assignment for trimming the alieron is inverted: for example if I move the hat switch to the left the aircraft lean to the right and so the other way round pushing right (the animation is correct though)

    yep! Last night I found the game capturing the neutral trimming... and as a consequence, the plane pushed the force back and forth. So, to overcome this situation I had to set at first the neutral postion as discussed above (2 notches nose down), and then use the trim as usual (via the game or the VPForce tool)

  7. Guys, I think have figured out what's going on... or at least what is working for me as a result of my latest test.

    There some kind of delay bewteen the pitch trim setting and the actual feel on feedback. This is translated in out of phase action/force on the stick.

    Moreover,  not the whole span of the pitch trim indicator is usefull.
    The aircraft is well trimmed around the second notch - Nose down regardless the configuration (take off, landing , cruise).

    Everything is tuned fine if the zero point is around the second mark regardless of load (fuel and weapons).

    This is how I set  in the game:

    1. As soon as the mission starts, set the pitch trim nose down at the second marking.
    2. It s mandatory to not assign any rotary to the trim pitch, just two buttons. Otherwise the risk is to over compensate with your potentiometer and get an out of phase force.
    3. Remove any curvature setting in the Y axis of your Joy. At least reduce the Y saturation (below my setting)

    To me this is the best setting I have so far with my Rhino.
    No external program needed. Just settings in DCS.

    Hopefully it may works also for other FFB vendors

    Give it a try and tell if it works for you.

  8. Few moments ago, I jumped in the cockpit of a P51 in the 4YA server. I was going to start up the engine when suddenly I ejected off the aircraft.

    Pretty sure I didnt hit the Ctrl+E. Anyway, I found myself standing beside the aircraft on the left.

    Never mind, I restarted in the same slot and succesfully started up the engine.

    I noticed my old myself still standing next to me. During the taxi, the odd figure appeared glued to my fuselage.

    Still during the takeoff and first climb. It looks like he was pivoting around the attachment of the wing.

    Anyway I went inverted and he must have fallen down...

    Glad that the flight model wasn't affected, though

     

     

  9. for MS Sidewinder FFB 2 users (and G940 users as well),  the SimFFB utilility does the same.

    compile for your system.

    just unassign the trim function in DCS and see the configuration below. 

    You can use the hat switch to trim both your X/Y axis.

    I check with the controller itself and it works. didn't try in game though...

    I guess G940 users should uncheck "Swap Axis"

    simply deleted the assignment in DCS. It was previously assigned to an axis that kept on spoiling the trim.

    Enable the trim function in VPForce program. If you want to use the Grip attached to Rhino you don't need any loopback.

    He was trying to see if he can modify the received telemetry and re-inject it into the stream using his app telemFFB.

    Configured right now the Rhino Input Loopback.

    Removed the trim function from the game and assigned two buttons from my throttle to the Y axis trim.

    It works great!

  12. Happened last night. MT version and VR.

    4YA serever, take off from UK with P47 30 early.

    I check my six an noticed a black box floating above the fuselage and  in front of the rudder.

    looks like a NS430 3D panel. Actualy I do own the NS430, but since I switched to VR I've never used since then.
