Nope, you just call it in as soon as you are close enough to collect intel.
I really don't see a lot of issue with the bomber script, I was there for the shenanigans last night, and saw the ending of it this morning. It took around 6 bombers to get through to bomb Mykop thanks to SAM defenses and defending fighters while 2 helicopters failed to find me crash landed off the end of the runway (Still in one piece just laying on side). Today the other side took a Farp with bombing while i heard all of blue complaining but doing nothing about shooting down the bomber or setting up sams / killing the one gazelle flying around the FARP ( there was 2 to 4 choppers there who couldn't find him). There is plenty you can do to stop bombers, and I just think it was a "I'm sure someone else will switch to cap / do whatever. The only thing I would suggest is maybe increasing the amount of time between call ins, otherwise I think it works fine.
