When I drop a gbu12 using an f-14's jester, it hits the target 10/10 times, but this product has a lot of problems with jdam and its TGP performance is very poor.

What do you mean by TGP performance?

If you're talking about the visual quality then is the best representation in DCS.

    And what JDAM problems?

What happened? To quote a netizen on reddit:

The simplest explanation of what is going on is that Razbam was drawing on code they developed for DCS to build modules for another platform (maybe MSFS, maybe some professional simulator for military clients). ED thinks it owns the code and stops paying Razbam to force them to stop using it. Razbam refuses to stop and retaliates against ED by putting out the statement today. This can probably all be sorted out through mediation but that will take a while and us players will lose out in the interim.

Meanwhile Heatblur releases the F-14 also in MSFS 😱

I'm not interested in the background, I only care for the F-15E, the best DCS module.

It's been 2 weeks since Razbam's "announcement".  Mods are still saying essentially to stop posting, asking questions, or discussing Razbam's "strike".  How long exactly are customers supposed to wait before getting an update on what's happening?  If both sides haven't been able to "work things out" in 2 weeks, that doesn't exactly bode well for a rapid happy outcome IMO.  So, is it too much to ask to tell us where things are at so we can all get back to buying new EA products with confidence?  This is directed at Razbam, not ED, as Razbam were the ones that went public with this dispute, and the least they can do is not go comms silent after doing so.  It's not fair to their customers.

My trust is in both ED and Razbam.

ED is the one who brings trust to the game ensuring safety purchases for the modules. If the development of the F-15E stops I'll be very sad but I'll want my money back to restore the trust in ED.

I do almost the same, flying a single aircraft for several months at a time, but can't imagine flying a single type for years .. there are too many aircraft that I want to learn before I die  🙂

There was a time when I had extra time and flew more than one aircraft. The problem was I never had the opportunity to fully learn them.

I have a lot of satisfaction when everything goes by the numbers and can do everything as "perfect" as possible. If I'm doing something wrong I repeat it until I do it right.

I fully train in one single aircraft at a time and I don't stop until I learn everything and I'm very confident to use every tool without overthinking. Then I start creating my own tactics for weapon deployment. It takes a lot of time.

The F-15E for me is HUGE, the amount of tools it has plus the human WSO adds another layer. For me is the best aircraft of DCS. It's possible to use it from the 90's making it very usable for different missions.
I hope we get good news about the F-15E as soon as possible.

Not interested in Helicopters? F-16 and F-15 might suggest you could like the Apache - IF you are interested in choppers at all.

I have the AH-64D, it's great. The problem is I fly with a group of people and we train together, and not everyone have helicopters. And the missions need to have an explicit place for the helicopters. The time of flight is an issue for multiplayer missions and it adds a complexity layer for TOT for the mission designer.

Certainly you're free to not play anymore as desired.  Everyone has their own reasons for playing or not playing a game.  Still, it's a very strange position.

The F-15E in its current condition is still in the game.  You don't have to play DCS without the F-15E, as it's still there.  Is your desire to play DCS contingent only on the F-15E being complete?  Well it's not complete so far, so why were you playing DCS before?  Or is your desire to play based solely on the hope that one day it will be complete?  In that case, why not wait till the product is complete when you know you have all (or most) of what you want from the product?  It seems like your motivation for playing DCS revolves solely on whether or not this one plane is in active development.  Doesn't even really matter what stage of development it is in, just that your enjoyment seems to come exclusively from knowing devs are still working on it.  That's wild to me.  Different strokes, I guess.

Or it's just a reactionary tantrum to some unfortunate news.  Denying yourself enjoyment of a module that still exists and was good enough to play before this Raz/ED issue.

Judging by the subsequent public messages by both companies, I'm tentatively hopeful that some kind of arrangement will be worked out between them that doesn't mean the end of these modules.  I'm also hoping both companies do not have intentions to part ways.  Time will tell, but in the meantime, I still have a game to play.

I dedicate to one aircraft for several years, until I know 99% how to use everything it has to offer. ATM the F-15E lacks a lot of features and has some bugs which need some workarounds. I don't feel like keep learning it without knowing when the development will resume. Also the 6-7 weeks between patches is not helping either.

I flew the F-16 for 4 years and it was great but It's done for me, at least for some time. And the rest of the aircraft I own don't attract my attention ATM.

So DCS will be on pause also for me until the F-15E comes back with development.

  7. I have lots of modules but without the F-15E DCS feels very dead for me. I don't feel the need to play DCS any more.

    😢

I hope the development of the F-15E resumes as soon as possible.

I hope both companies get this stuff sorted out. The way they throw mud in the public at each other is extremely unprofessional.

I own every Razbam module and I'm very concerned that especially the F-15E and SA map won't see a finalization anymore.

As a customer I feel like being held as an hostage by Razbam and thats a slap right in the face after supporting them over the years especially while their first 2 modules needed many years to mature but nevertheless I always trusted them. This trust is annihilated.

This dispute had never had to reach the public. The companies should work their dispute behind the curtain. Man. I have other businesses to care. That's so annoying.

Razbam needed to explain why there would not be any update for any of their modules. I don't see any problem with that.

It's a shame that the users are being used as leverage here. If there are contract problems, they should be solved professionally and not made such a move.

Well, I won't be buying anything from RB's EA anymore. In terms of quality it was always a gamble and now something like this.

We don't know if there weren't previous conversations.

I wont be buying anything DCS related until this is solved. I don't trust anything now.

Anyone else find the aerobraking a little under stated?

I have been flying in and out of Incirlik lately, a lovely runway, Landing on the numbers, at around 165/170kn I did an extended aero brake there and quickly started to run out of runway, still 110knots approaching the second taxiway junction, only just managed to get the nose down and brake in time to get off the end......just feels like the speed scrubs a little quicker with the F16 and Hornet ?  far from an expert in the F15E, still less than 100hrs 🙂

You're very fast or you're very heavy. You can do 145kn at 22AoA.

Different kind of datalink. This is about the weapon datalink pod (Like what the hornet needs to guide SLAM-ERs/Walleyes), not the 'show me everything Overlord sees' mission datalink.

He was talking about JTIDS/Link16, not AGM-130/GBU-15 datalink

The current model has been there longer than the SE has been released for if I remember rightly?

It may be, I don't know. For sure the GBU-15 is the older one lol, it needs a serious 3D upgrade.

I hope RB or ED make the newer 3D model of the 130 with the correct camera, which will be correct for the AGM-130C 9.

Also I hope they can make the A version (MK84) and the IR version for night operations because 1 type of weapon limits the amount of missions it can do severely.

  13. I don't know exactly how it is displayed but in the Engine page there will be some info.

Depends on the loadout but around 5000-5400 FF per engine is good for cruise.

Is there any way to see the location of the list points you created in the ME on the map when flying?

No. I would take note of them in for example Scratchpad to know where each point is, it's not that hard since you don't need to write the coordinates just the number it has in the list.

If Razbam implements a DTC for the F-15E it may be listed somewhere maybe in the kneeboard.

  15. Speed limit is 700 knots. In game you can push a little more but your wings are going to explode, of course IRL is not like the aircraft will dismantle at 701

Other aircraft have similar speed limits like the 800 in the F-16C although you don't explode in game and you can push whatever you want.
