Ever since I loaded an F-14 in FSX that had a whopping great hole showing through the cockpit floor I've been overly aware of suspension of disbelief in simulation. I've been using FC2 to develop on the combat side of things and get a bit thrown with default cockpits in addon modcraft. With FSX I'd developed some familiarity with tweaking configs but have no idea where to start with FC2. I want to begin with building cockpits for F-14/16 and 18. Where would I start with this task?

I believe the only solution is adding the plane I want to fly to a mission and switching to it in flight. Plausible?

Have to assume the flyby's are from folks running DCS World who wanted a look at the archaic sim-player. I am not an animal!!! *shakes fist at your virtual airwaves!*

Greetings, Unfortunately my pc is not compatible with DCS World and I have to settle for FC2 until I can upgrade. This is not a big issue as FC2 is perfectly reasonable for purposes. I have installed the final extra flyable aircrafts mod through the ModMan software. I have made multiple searches for how to access and fly these extras once installed but the best I can find is rather garbled. Can anyone here provide clear instruction on loading and flying say, an F18c, so I can access the planes I am interested in please?
