  1. I had this on my first post update flight, and I'm pretty sure it was simply that I deployed the gear at too high a speed. Made landing a lot of fun....right up to the bit where I ran into a surprisingly tough radio aerial and had the port wing ripped off. Dsve
  2. Nice to get an update yesterday with the Sabre now showing without the beta tag - also got a mostly done manual that's pretty good (good job I read fast, the first flight sim manual I remember amounted to having the inside of the cassette insert printed....) Also came with a campaign for my Huey, unless it crept in earlier when I wasn't looking! It all looks really good, nice job. Now for a quick query - has anyone else tried to tune in their ARN-6 to anything outside the 400-850 band? Although the band selector turns happily to the 4 different ranges I can't actually get it to swap from 400-850...turn the tuning dial and it runs from 400-850 (figures visible under the dial) regardless of where I put the band selector control. Has anyone else tried using this? Dave
  3. Great job Starway - after about 4 hours of struggling I finally got the mod to work (except labels are all white...never mind, I don't use them much anyway) and it looks great, top notch job mate. I'd also like to thank Stonehouse, because after a LOT of struggle to get this working I managed to follow most of what he said above to the point where a little extra tweak was all I needed to sort out. All that's needed now is the option to play a series of 69's era hits as we go.... Dave
  4. Thankyou very much for that, I had a feeling it would be something along those lines - as somebody said earlier, it's a bit confusing to talk about releasing it and it coming out of beta when it's actually being released for the beta.... :-;
  5. Sorry, but I'm still confused about this - I've done an update and a repair, and the updater says my version 1.5.3.51417.46 is up to date, and my Sabre icon in game says it's 1.5.3.beta - is this correct or is something failing to update please? I'm still rather new here - is the problem due to my having installed the `1.5 public release rather than the 1.5.3 beta of the game? Oh, I don't seem to have a manual as such, just a collection of screenshots in DCS World\Mods\Aircraft\F-86\Manual-En along with something calling itself manual.txt...nothing vaguely looking like a manual....I bought the module last weekend, incidentally.
  6. from memory - so I apologise in advance for any errors, and with the caveat that I'm a pretty new player with little experience....I've had a go at fixing this sort of thing myself, and it went something like:- Load the mission in the mission editor, then click on your helo to select it....if you aren't sure which icon is your helo click on the small icon for show all units (or something liek that) 2 above the bit that says 'map' on the left side of the screen, near the bottom left corner. You can look at the unit info on the upper right of the screen to confirm it's your helo, in the 'skill' box it'll say 'player'. Select the waypoints for the unit (lower part of that right hand column of info, it's the leftmost icon of about 4 or 5) you can select the first waypoint (ie the start position) and there's a dropdown to select from - three of the options are to start from the ramp, runway, or a parking lot - if you click one of these it'll jump the waypoint to a nearby (nearest?) airfield or whatever to let you fly from. You might have to fiddle a bit, and it can backfire a bit in that on one mission it jumped the waypoint about 50 miles to friendly territory (no surprise I guess). There may be better ways to do this, but I had the same thought you did and this is all I've found so far to get it done. I'll be playing with the editor some more, maybe get back with a better version some day! (I'm also setting up TrackIR and Vocie Attack for the Huey, so I've a lot on....) Dave
  7. Yup, thanks for the help - got the lot, and also gone for the non-steam download so as to take advantage of the recent 30% off sale....now I've got more manuals than you can shake a stick at.... Dave
  8. Thanks for the attempt to help, I have the Steam version and that folder, sadly, doesn't exist....nor does a link from the game menu. I suspect the non-Steam version has both....grrr Never mind, I will persevere, and then I'll probably download the non-Steam version to avoid this hassle in future (whilst taking advantage of the sale that's now on). Thanks for trying to help guys. Dave For anyone in the same boat, I've found F15C, A10A, SU-25, SU-27 so far, and am still looking for Mig 29A and S, SU-33....I think they are on Steam, but the manuals link doesn't actually take you to them (really helpful that). If anyone else needs any I've found so far I'll be happy to send them on.
  9. Well, so far I've read one thread where a guy asks whether it exists, and gets the very helpful reply of 'yes it does' but no guide to where it is, and this thread where the OP finds it and also doesn't mention where.... so I'll keep looking. No criticism of the OP intended, after all you probably imagine EVERYONE else knew where to find it when you posted, but I for one am still wondering why there isn't a very obvious place to get the manuals for all the DLC....getting a manual as part of the download would seem a bit obvious to me, frankly. Ho hum, off I go, searching the internet at large.... Edited to add: [ame]http://cdn.akamai.steamstatic.com/steam/apps/250300/manuals/F-15C%20DCS%20Flaming%20Cliffs%20Flight%20Manual%20EN.pdf[/ame] Just for anyone else going through the same frustration.... the Belsimtek flight manual for the F15C
