I tried other maps caucasus and nevada and it looks better. Tried normandy again and it feels better but I stil feel it has little slower speed than the other two. But maybe it is just a coincidence depends where you fly.

Mm I do not agree. I don’t use 2d screen Since I am using the rift. Wien I am passing the tree tops in the UH-1h it is the same speed like when I am passing them when I fly paramotor, which is around 50km/h Since I am no math genius I can not calculate the speed over the ground but I wouldn’t be surprised IF it wasn’t accurate. Doing 100knts over the ground should be faster than this. Jesper

Hello Since I fly myself I find that the sensation of speed is not accurate, I fly helicopters in dcs with rift, I fly paramotor in real life. Anyway, when I just fly around with the mouse and increase and decrease the speed with the mousewheel I notice that there is no problem at all to go really fast, sure I am not inside a cockpit which I guess will be more heavy on cpu and gpu when I do but... It would be so nice if I could increase the flightspeed of the helicopter. Time compression or simulation speed it's not the same thing because I am happy with the handling and my controls. Is there any way I can have higher topspeed, change some config file? Jesper

Well I did, it worked before but now I only got a box with a X. Hmm well thanks :)

GTX 1070 is awesome for DCS World 2.0

What FPS are you getting? I am getting 90-45 but it's more around 45-50 while flying. 1080+ 2600k@4.6 -
Mm I really don't understand this at all so please elaborate. When I turn to the right it doesn't happen. Also, why would the rendering drop? I mean it should be easier for the card since I am not looking at all the gauges. I would understand if it would be the other way around. Thanks
-
No it's the main core for DCS . I learned from my mistake. I just put cpu before and got 20% :) So this should be the real deal.
-
Happinness changed fast. Yeah I hope they fix this. I don't understand. Looking straight, 90fps, looking left 45fps :( :( http://sv.tinypic.com/r/6fmede/9 http://sv.tinypic.com/r/4lfvat/9 Why can't I post a pic here? It's just a X instead of a pic?
-
Mm I don't understand what you mean in the first part. Did you look at the picture? I have 90fps so you are mistaken. Secondly if Vsync would be on it would do 90FPS since that is the Hz of the rift. I'll try the HT thing but as the pic also shows is that I am no way near 100% cpu load. So not sure it will do much. Thanks
-
Mm what do you mean? 63% cpu load. I think that speaks for itself, right? 4.6gHz, I wouldn't call it on the low side :)

Hello guys. Tried to search for this problem but didn't find anything useful. I use 1.5 version and when I look straight a head even before I start the game I have 90fps. But when I turn to the left I get 45fps. In 2.0 version I get a more constant 45-50 depending on settings. I know since I have read that dcs is not optimized properly but this is ridiculous. Win 10 16Gb, ssd, 2600k@4.6ghz, gtx1080 + oculus rift, cv1. Shouldn't my computer perform better than this??
-
But how is it in 1.5 for you? I have 90 in 1.5 but exactly half in 2.0, 45fps.
-
In oculus sdk which you can download. You can set a pixel overide from 0 to 2 or more, not sure if that will benefit. But 2 let you have a better pictue. But it is also more demanding on gpu. You can also see the fps and performance headroom with this tool. I guess pixel override is like supersampling. That's what i have read.

Ah sooo nice. I fired up DCS 1.5 everything on max except trees and vis radius(will try that later) Pixel ov. 2.0 I don't know how to post a picture here but... It says 90fps :) :) CPU (the right core) 61% GPU 93% I really thought that 2.0 would be better but apperantly not.

Yipey!!

I see now that 20%cpu is just the overall % One core is almost on 85% going up and down. So I guess it's a cpu bottleneck after all :( Somebody selling a 6GHz cpu?? :)
-
Something else is wrong. CV1 + 1080 and a 2600k at 4.6ghz 50%gpu load 20%cpu load and only 45-50 fps.
-
Hehe yeah I guess it's not old. Well I can actually return it. We in Sweden have a very nice policy when you buy things online. The question is if I /we can hope they will fix this soon? I'm sure the card is super but I bought it (haven't paid yet though) mostly because of dcs. So should I keep it or not?
-
Yes, I had max setting and 2.0 override and still only had 80% gpu load. So the power is there. Too bad it can't translate to Fps.
-
Well I can return it, bought it online in sweden. But I would hope the will optimize it for vr so I can keep it but who knows when that is gonna be? :(
-
Well I got the Msi gaming 1080 and I see little difference from my old 970 :(
-
I completly agree. No point in upgrading unless someone can prove us wrong :)
-
The cpu can still swim :) I have a cpu load of 20% I only feel that fsx is cpu hungry but maybe I am missing something. I have cv1. I am running 2.0. Tried max setting and pixel overide 2, 80% gpu 23%cpu and 44fps.
-
Soooo disappointed :( Got my MSI 1080 gaming X today.. and I saw no difference really in DCS compared to my old 970. 50fps on minimum settings. I have a 2600k 4.6Gz I am running it though the rift.
