Finally figured out how to set the trim, you have to hit the reset button on the stick, then move the trim control which is actually the black POV knob on the stick, alternatively you can press RCtrl+; or you can setup your flight stick to do it. :D Try hitting the brakes Maverick, still going to smoke ya

I'm going to try this, thanks for the tip. I wasn't doing any of the procedures myself, only quick mission and having the plane started on the runway. After take off the planes elevators are stuck. I'll try a full manual start, taxi and takeoff and see what can be remedied. :thumbup:

I'm sorry but that aircraft was really close to being developed from what I could gather, are you sure the government doesn't have something to do with this? The level of done just seems like the government is hoarding all the goods. Then giving us some old website from forever ago to distract us.

I also hate to crap on your soon to be Top Gun "Maverick" parade but in reality this F-5 would have out handled that F-14 to the point of where it's not even possible for the F-14 to get behind this aircraft.

I've had this problem as well with other aircraft, I've tried manually setting the trim with the mouse even, it's obvious that with these extended flight models there is some babysitting that has to be professionally accomplished with the controls in order to maintain the F5's wing systems.

I've tried many things from the manual of the aircraft on and around pages 190-200 to try and figure out why the aircraft forces itself to climb, the elevators on the plane are forced in some kind of 35 degree angle off, I have yet to find a working procedure that will level out the aircraft in flight. :cry:

it's rather obnoxious that the F-5 in DCS World 1.54 seems to have the elevators stuck at a nominal degree so as I have to hold the stick forward just to maintain level flight and I haven't found a way to fix it yet...:doh:

DCS World 2.0 Alpha is having problems, 1.54 works just fine with the F-5

I was obsessed with the idea of being able to pilot the F-35, but as usual I figured my fun would be cut short for some reason or another, I thought the military would actually complain or something stunting it's progress, so what actually became of that project was it cancelled or....? :devil:
