  1. The issue is very repeatable for me. Attached is a log file of it happening. I created a simple mission flew around for ~5 min then took off my headset for 10 seconds and when I put it back on the game was frozen. Approximate 30 seconds later the game closed itself. No .crash or .dmp file is created. I'm will look into the timeout / sleep settings, but it happens so fast that I do not believe it is related to that. The default timeout for quest 2 is 2 min. This sounds like exactly what is happening to me, except my game closes itself. I've gotten around it by holding my thumb over the sensor if I'm taking it off to look at something quickly. dcs.log
  2. Whenever I pause the game and take off my headset for more than a few second the game will freeze up and won't recover. When I put the headset back on it will the screen is frozen and I see the hour glass Icon for 30-60 seconds then DCS just closes. Is this a known common issue? Is there a known workaround or do I just need to keep my headset on for the duration of my mission. On the most recent open beta version with a Quest 2 using OpenXR toolkit. Computer spec: RTX 3080, Ryzen 5 5600X, 32 gig ram.
  3. That is extremely helpful. Thank you! I have it bound to the lever as well. I find the zoom to be very nauseating when I'm using it to lock at stuff inside the cockpit. Works great for A10 gun runs though. It makes everything very jerky when zoomed in. Almost certainly due to my barely adequate CPU.
  4. I couldn't believe this wasn't a standard feature when i first started with DCS. Some of the campaign missions if you miss the cords first go you are SOL. Directly adding them in is especially difficult with the L/L format when you had to add in 2 stings of numbers (at least in the A10). Other option would be a request to replay last message, but the log just seems so obvious.
  5. I have tried PD at 1.5. I have tried 2.0, but didn't correct the issue. I definitely noticed that the the placement can make a huge difference when using the outside programs like Virtual Desktop, but it seems no amount of fine tuning the placement or lens spacing seems to clear up the cockpit text. The HUD text is very clear so it just seems to me to be a texture issue.
  6. I didn't mention it in my original post, but i do have the VR zoom bound to my Hotas, but zooming in doesn't make it any clearer. The blurry white symbol that is suppose to be text just gets larger and still completely unreadable. Same when i lean forward to get a closer look at it. When i use other programs outside of DCS the text is a bit blurry (definitely not the crisp text we get accustom to with monitors) but its more then adequate to be able to read. I have the buttons on the A10C mostly memorized so its not the end of the world, but trying to learn a new plane (Mirage) it has been a major inconvenience.
  7. I recently got an Oculus Rift and have been flying it the past few days. It provides amazing immersion and really makes situational awareness much easier. I am loving it. I have a PC that is a bit below specs - GTX 970, i7-920 (OC @ 4 Ghz), 16 Gigs Ram, Windows 10. The FPS is marginal on low settings, but has been more than enough to play without issues. I have been playing on DCS 1.5. The issue I am having is the text seems to be blurry to the point of being unable to read no matter what setting i have my textures on. Even when i put my textures on High, my FPS drops quite a bit, but the text is still much to blurry to read. For example the up front controller on the A10 is completely illegible no matter what texture settings i pick. I had expected clarity to go up and fps to go down with increasing texture setting. That doesn't seem to be the case. I have a friend that has a Oculus and plays DCS and his text is much clearer, granted he has a GTX 1080. Does the quality of the GPU really have a major effect on the clarity or do i have some other problem possibly with my settings? I had assumed that the clarity would be independent of the graphics card, but would have a major effect on the FPS. Does anyone have experience with a GTX 970 that has been able to get legible text on the cockpit?
  8. Playing Missions 4 & 5 I am not getting any messages from Overlord. I can hear the Dodge1-1 outgoing messages from my character, but it's a very 1 sided conversation. I can hear the conversation with Dodge1-2. Based on the first sentence of your original post, it's probably most likely I am doing something wrong. 1. as part of realism setting, I am using "radio transmit" instead of "message to.." system within the missions. The difference is that unless you don't have your radio tuned in to correct frequency (and you are in range, which is important in some of the missions), you won't hear your orders! I am setting my top comms panel to 132.00 AM for ATC and the bottom comms panel to 32.00FM for Overlord. Left UHF at 251.00. Screenshot from mission 5:http://imgur.com/a/GemRU I admittedly am not all that familiar with exactly how the radios work so hopefully I am just messing up the configuration and it's not really a bug. Thanks, the campaign has been awesome so far! Edit: Yup, me doing something wrong confirmed. I had the radios in EMERG AM & EMERG FM instead of MAN. Read the manual and the bugs went away!! ;)
