  1. Brydling, I would like you to test a small program call HIDMacro too if possible. http://www.hidmacros.eu/ This little program can detect any keyboard/joystick/DX device input/depress, and convert it into a specific keystroke/macro, single press or auto repeat. If it can detect all joystick and all button of B256A13, B256A13 will be perfect for most sim pit builder. just mapping the buttons that games itself can see, then mapping the rest into key stroke by HIDmacro...This will be the best dream I ever have in these years.:P
  2. Please give a link of for-sale thread, thnaks.:)
  3. Thanks for reply! I would like to know how to order B256A13 from you now, please send me more detail about this. Thanks!
  4. Hello brydling, I have great interesting on your control board. But I have a question to ask first, as far as I know Direct input limited any HID devide to have 8 axis and 32 buttons+1*POV(totaly 36 buttons), how do you emulate 240 buttons in 2 HID devices? are they all act as buttons and can be keep pressing (for toggle switch) without any problems?
  5. Thanks all, now I know it is a Luneburg Lens device to let Air controls be able to see stealth aircrafts and for training purpose. Glad to learn one thing today.:)
  6. Hello all, I have a question about F-22 raptor: http://komica7.dreamhosters.com/17/src/1309773731988.jpg http://komica7.dreamhosters.com/17/src/1309773673268.jpg Does any one know what is the small pod under the Raptor fuselage? And it's official name? I heard it is a radio signal emitter to help tower/AWACS to find out their location, but didn't find any data about it.
  7. I will suggest you go cut a piece of pixel glass(2~3mm), drill some 2.5mm holes and use some M3 screw to fix the TM MFD bezels, then use tape or other material to fix your 4:3 8 inch LCD panel in the back. Use the way that you can remove the LCD panel without damage it is better. The pixel glass can provide protection to your LCD panel too, and you can apply some paint on the pixel glass(not the display area) to prevent light leaking and increase looking.
  8. Yes, because in DCS:BS you need to use window mode for monitors of different vertical resolution or the game will crash. In my situation, my main monitor (24 inch) is 1920x1200, but my sub monitors are 600x800 and 480x800, so I'm forced to use window mode. Not sure if DCS:A-10C use the same way although. If you are looking for multi monitor setting you can dig out the old thread about this, and there is a wiki have detail description about it. The only different is most ppls use normal monitors but I use usb-powered ones.
  9. Use Windows7 64bit, DCS runs better with 64bit, and WDDM driver of windows7 make window mode almost lost no fps due to window mode...BS is nearly unplayable under XP with window mode(to use usb-powered monitors), but nearly no FPS loss under W7 like a magic!:D I would like to say WDDM is the savior of these usb-powered monitors.
  10. Thanks all for nice infomations!:D I have 2 mino 7 inch monitors and they used very well with DCS:Blackshark. Not test A-10 yet, but I think if you only use them for MFD/CPU exporting they will works well under Windows7. Under XP you will get serious FPS lost due to window mode. I bought these 7inch monitor before TM MFD released for my home-made MFD bazels. Now they are replaced by 2 8-inch LCD-8000U(same usb-powered) so they are no use right now, so I plan to buy some 7inch touch panel to make they into other instrument with a lot of buttons(I hate wiring TACTS:(). CDU is the fiest choice. In fact I don't like touch screen too much for simming, real buttons made me feel better, but touch screen+ real buttons can get benefit of both side I think. And after read TB toturial I find it's so easy to add a lot of buttons for a profile. And I can make the background pure white in non-display area to simulate button backlights. This is very handy and ideal for a poor and lazy guy like me...:P
  11. Hello, I got a idea to add a 7 inch touch panel to my 7inch USB powered monitor, and use touch buddy to make it a CDU. By this way I can avoid the effort to tons of wiring, problem of seeking for keyboard/joystick controller for over 100+keys, just to laser cut a panel and all buttons and attach it to the touch panel. The 7 inch monitor can be used for display area. How do you think about the possibillty of this way? Any advice and comment are welcome.:music_whistling:
  12. I'd self-resloved my problem with usb-powered monitors. Looks like I need to run LEAVU and FC2 under windows7. Even I installed the newest driver from displaylink LEAVU still doesn't rendering graphics under XP 32bit, but it works under W7 64bit like magic! Thanks for great work Yoda!
  13. Thanks for reply again Mastiff, I'd found the problem myself.:) I found that if I disable AERO under W7 (switch to basic desktop) the render will be disable anyway. I switched to basic desktop to try to gain more FPS and forgot this. Once I switch back to AERO theme, the sub monitor back to worked! Any one who use usb-powered monitor with displaylink chip and W7 like me should notice to this. And I do some test myself and here are something I found for other usb-powered monitor users: 1.BS runs far better under W7 64bit than WXP under window mode. I can get 40~60 fps in W7 64bit, and only 14-20 fps in XP. Evidently BS prefer W7 or 64bit OS if you want to use window mode. 2.If you don't install any core manager app from displaylink and just let W7 to get the driver by itself, You can enable the usb-power monitor with "optimize for video" and try, You may see a lower quality graphic in the sub monitor (in my case, it looks like 300x400 rather than original 600x800) but the FPS will greatly increased. My test result is 58-60 fps in "optimize for video" mode and 40-45 fps in normal mode. This is very amazing, I NEVER see BS runs with 60fps under window mode before. But once you install the core manager app from displylink site, no matter you enable "optimize for video" or not(anyway you get a lower quality graphic if you enable it) , the fps will stay the same, and damn stable in 40 fps even in big battle or near city. I don't know why, but stable 40fps is fairly nice for me. 3.Enable vertical sync and AA almost no hit to fps in my system (coredual E6400/GTX280). I'm not sure if vertical sync make BS more smoother, but looks like not bad to have it if you can reach 40fps.
  14. Hello Mastiff, thanks for the reply. I'm using LCD-800U usb-powered monitor that using display link chip. Drivers are auto installed by windows7 and I don't know the exact version of it. I'm very sure I'm in window mode because the sub monitor worked in WXP 32bit with same config file. I'm running BS from same folder under both WXP32bit and W764bit. In one night before the problem happened, I tried to run BS under Windows7( I never try this before because I need to use register key one time) to test if BS run faster under W7. I successful make abris display in sub monitor and it is far faster than WXP( 16-21 fps in WXP32bit and stable 30fps under W7). But in the very next day it failed.:( I can see the BS loading screen in main monitor stretched( window mode and customed resolution worked) and I can see the cockpit cursor in sub monitor, but just no graphic rendering. I know there very few people here using these monitors, just try to see if anyone experienced this and share the solution if possible.
  15. Hello all, Suddenly I can't use multi monitor under windows7 last night. The same setting worked until last night. The same config file still worked under windows XP now, and I had setting expand mode in windosw7, BS runs ok but just don't rendering the abris like before. Does anyone know how to cure this? I don't want to reinstall W7 for this...
  16. aZL, as far as I know AIESTV is only for A-10A in FC2...I don't know it will work with DCS A-10:P But the D3D hook worked is great enought and means AIESTV can be use by DCS:A-10 with a little modify. Buy a copy for Kegetys and maybe he will do this for all of us!
  17. Hello guys, here are some test result I just done: 1.It seems AIESTV only worked under W7 64bit. It just won't work in XP32bit even with latest D3D9 installed, I guess it's because Kegetys mod from a D3D9.dll for 64bit and it just won't work in 32bit. Maybe he can fix this. 2.If you enable backmirror you will keep seeing a F4 view. Disable it and you will see the marvick image when you select it. I think this approach is very very potential to export any display like HUD,MFD,RWR,Shkval and Abris. This is far faster then the script ED used in BS and it worked in some monitor can't display D3D graphics like the displaylink monitors I used. I encourage and wish Kegetys can keep working to improve AIESTV, add more displays types to use and fix the problem about XP 32bit and backmirrors. This will be the greatest MOD for FC2 and all DCS series I believe. I'm looking forward for it.:) Good work and keep going Kegetys!
  18. Thanks for reply so quick Yoda. /bow These monitor use only 1 USB cable to powered and connect with PCs. Not DVI or VGA. They use displaylink chip as adapters, display 2d only and cannot display any 3D acceleration generated output. Thet are functional limited but easy to setup because you only need 1 USB cable. I can use them for Open Falcon MFD exporter (2D cockpit capture and 3D pit output worked) and display shakvl/Abris for Blackshark. I just think if you can add a process to make them into 2D graphic every frame like the 2nd monitor outut in BS, they can be display in these monitor.
  19. Hail Yoda, I just try LEAVU 2.1 and it works great! But I have a big problem. I use USB-powered 8inch sub monitor and they use displaylink chip and ca't display graphics that generated by D3D. LEAVU looks great in my main monitor, but when I drag them to the sub monitor they gone blank. If there are any possibility to export them as 2D graphic like in BS?
  20. Hail all, I'm trying to setup FC2 to use a mini-stick based input(like the cursor control in Cougar THrottle) as DTS control, and find the cursor will jump back to center after I moved it (act as a standard mini stick) rather than just move it. If there are anyway to config it to do this way, or convert the stick move to key stroke by other software like SVmapper? thanks.
  21. thanks for reply Hellfrog.:) I'd already OC my CPU to 3.8Ghz...got 20-25 fps under 2 monitor.:P Maybe BS run better under W7x64?
  22. I can get 45-70 fps with fair well fly experience under full screen mode, but once I change to window mode for 2nd/3rd monitor the fps will drop to 10~25 and barely playable ( in fact impossible to land manually). I know this is a old problem, but I far away from this forum a while so I would like to know if there are any better soultion been found.:D my spec is :Intel E8400/Nvidia GTX280 /1920*1200 with cfg file optimize
  23. Hail Schizwiz, In my setting with optimize, I got 60-70 fps in 1920*1200 full screen, but 20-25 fps in window mode and nearly unplayable.:( I don't why this different so much...
  24. Thanks for your reply! I think use window mode will just do same hit on fps to us all. I hope next patch will fix this too.:smilewink:
  25. Hail JAG, I use UM-710 usb powered 7inch monitor that very similiar to yours, so I would like to know your experience, Since we both use main monitor with higher vertical resolution than 7 inchi ones (mine is 1920*1200 of main monitor, with 480*800 sub monitor for abris), so we are forced to use window mode that will badly decrease fps we get. (BS can get lower 20 fps in my setting). Do you suffer from this too or have better solution can share to me? thanks.
