  1. I also note that the price has increased from $10 for 30 minutes to $10 for 20 minutes :-(
  2. Will, thanks for the great explanation of PCAM's sim. As I said, I flew it as a P-51 and had a great time. It was set up for low-level flying through virtual "bridges", I think near Las Vegas. It was much more difficult than I expected. I loved it and did get better with multiple tries. I did think the stick forces were not realistic (although I haven't flown a real P-51), providing not much feedback at all.
  3. A week ago I went to the Pacific Coast Air Museum in Santa Rosa, California, and "flew" their simulator set up for a P-51. I had the 3D headset/goggles on and as the sim was getting set up I saw "DCS World" for a short time at the bottom of the view. The instructor/assistant said they had $18,000 invested in it. Is anyone here familiar with this sim? http://pacificcoastairmuseum.org/discover/flight-simulator
  4. Thanks for all the help! I now have to shut it down and do some real work :-)
  5. I'm about to buy the P-51D module, and a note says "Not for STEAM!" What's STEAM?
  6. DCS is installed with two aircraft modules, the TF-51D and Su-25T. But when I click on "Training", only the Su-25T module appears and is available for training. How do I get the TF-51D to be available for training?
  7. Thanks, that would be a useful option. Back to flight controls... Do any have three-axis trim, which I assume would be needed for flying the P-51 (only two-axis trim needed using Auto Rudder)?
  8. Thanks once more. It's downloading right now. What flight controls would you recommend? - Including rudder pedals for best sim realism. - Without rudder pedals for simplicity. Does the P-51 (TF-51) sim have a mode that doesn't require us of the rudder?
  9. Thanks! I don't care about combat. All I want is a realistic flight sim of the P-51 so I can learn to fly it, as much as is possible in a sim.
  10. I want to use the P-51 sim. The minimum system requirements are: OS 64-bit Windows 7/8/10; DirectX11; CPU: Core i3; RAM: 8 GB; Free hard disk space: 30 GB; Video: 2 GB RAM card, DirectX11 My computer meets them except possibly the CPU. Mine is Intel Xeon E550 @ 2.53GHz 2.53GHz. Will that work?
