Hi SuperKungFu; whenever I returned to the original A-10A, the problem dissapeared. I activated full planar shadows and now I have a clean cockpit; like Immerman, I was running on full shadows. (Immerman, remind me of sending you an expensive gift in christmas :notworthy:) Now, all we have to do is find what is the problem with full shadows. Thank you all for your help :thumbup: -

Do you have this at the start of your config file Yes, I have those lines, and the others you mentioned; I just edited out from my post because this forum only accepts up to 10000 characters. I think the AVI section is for the video renderer, not for the Maverick. I tried to run the sim in window mode instead of full screen as you suggested, but the problem persists. I will compare your file with mine later, right now is 2:42AM here, and I am sleeping over the keyboard :closedeyes: -

I dowloaded again from Lockonfiles, but to no avail. I turned off reflections, and that was a partial solution, since the black layer in the cockpit glass dissapeared, but the HUD, mirrors, and some instruments kept obscured. -

Well, I have problem number 2. I tried uninstalling a-10.tga.cdds as suggested by Highwayman, but it got worst. Specs: 1.) Athlon 64 3500+ (2216 MHz) 2.) 1.5GB RAM 3.) XFX nVidia Geforce 7600GT 4.) Forceware 169.21 WHQL 5.) The first time I found the problem I had Forceware 163.x, and upgraded to 169.21 to check if that corrected the problem 6.) I have a second copy of LO/FC 1.12a and Modman 6.3.0.1 redirected to that folder 7.) Yes, 6.3.0.1. Meinit.xml was replaced by modman after installing the new A-10A 8.) Mods installed: Map Borderline Mod 2 by TekaTeka Ground Pounder Terrain Beta 1.01 Directional Airfield Beacon 2.1 by TekaTeka Tree Shader Mod 2.0 by TekaTeka Structures Visibility Mod 1.1: High by TekaTeka HUD Font Mod 2.0 by TekaTeka Walmis's F-15C latest version Walmis's Weapons Pack v 2.11 Realistic Moon v2.0 by TekaTeka SIM-MOD A-10A SIM-MOD A-10A + Walmis' F-15 + Weapons Pack 9.) http://www.simwolfs.com/a-10/ 10.) No, but the file downloaded from simwolfs doesn't show any CRC problem nor corrupt files I checked the meinit.xml and graphics.cfg with the info on the readme and everything seems OK -
Unfortunately, not; in fact, it got worst. After uninstalling that file, I had to move much more than before the point of view for tha black layer to dissapear :huh:

I am at the office right now, so I can not check it out; but, except for the HUD Fonts from TekaTeka, I don't have any cockpit or gauges Mod. Besides, this problem happens when I install this mod, and only in the A-10A, the original stock version works fine; it must be something missing or some kind of conflict, but I couldn't sort it out yet. I will try the Highwayman's workaround as soon as I can, or any other possible solution that arise.

Hi Highwayman: I don't see those files listed in the mod and they are not within the rar file (at least not in mine). To give you more info about my installation, I have installed the Ground Pounder Beta Mod 1.01, Three Shader 2.0, HUD Font v 2.0, Walmis F-15 and weapons pack 2.11, Sim-Mod's A-10, and the compatibility pack for A-10A + Walmis F-15 My specs are: AMD 64 2500 @2.2MHz, 1.5GB RAM, 7600GT (drivers 169.1 installed), Viewsonic VA902B 19" The A-10 is the only plane to have this problem; I hope you can help me solve it because I want to use this piece of art :helpsmilie:

Deadman, that solution only solves the canopy glass problem, but as I said in the previous post, the HUD keeps geting a black layer :cry:. Thanks anyway

I'm having this problem after installing the new model. When I look to the center of the cockpit, the canopy, HUD, and some of the instruments show a black layer. If I move the point of view a bit to a side, up, or down, then it gets normal, but it is very uncomfortable to fly not looking to the center. Everything in the graphics.cfg file seems OK, so I think it must have something to do with meinit.xml, but Modman shows all green. If I deactivate the reflections in the game config, I don't see the black layer anymore, except in the HUD. Any ideas to solve this graphic glitch?
