  1. Gupyzer0, The terrains will look ugly in FC2 (for scenes=high), because I didn't edit any tree texture, I made this mod for scene graphics set to LOW, for low spec PCs like mine. Thanks for testing it!
  2. Thanks, it worked. But like aaron mentioned, it makes no difference. Even in 320x240, no lightning plug-in selected, ONE wheel as the only object to be rendered (all others hidden), it takes half an hour to render. I need a new PC...

  10. Vinc_Vega, it didn't weld the objects, just grouped. Isn't it the same as Group? I put one box inside another, and after aplying your commands, I see in wireframe that the object is inside another, not welded to it. aaron, unfortunately, here in Brazil it is expensive.. but I must buy a new pc soon. THanks
  11. I'm a beginner in 3ds. I'm working on this project, a bus I created years ago in pencil sketch, then CorelDraw, then Photoshop, now 3ds. Everything was going well, I finished the body, glass, seats, lights, small details, but... when I started doing the wheels, things got ugly. In this type of bus, a 4-axis, there are 10 wheels. But when I finished the second wheel, my pc went to the limit, because of RAM - I have 1Gb only. And the wheels are very detailed, I made two versions of wheels. I'm not talking about rendering.. just to move objects in wireframe is extremely slow. To render it's a lifetime. For example, I render a 640x480 jpg in 45 minutes.. What I need to know is how to weld all the wheel objects - nuts, rims, etc. I believe this is going to make the file less heavy, once it has less polys to generate. I searched in Google but didn't find what I'm looking for, if anyone can help, please.

  14. 3dsmax? I'm a beginner too, but I know there's a bug or something that suddenly closes the program and you lose all your unsaved work. In 3dsm, I back up all the time, like 10-10minutes. It's crazy. Combatace, how do I render a wireframe in 3dsmax?
  15. Yes, it's hard work and very easy to get bored with it. In 2 years, I had to put the project on hold for several times, actually I almost gave up sometimes. I'd like to design the textures for your model, it depends on one thing: resolution. FC2 players have good PCs and they probably use 4096x4096 aircraft textures, am I right? If so, I'm not able to do the work. Because my PC is very old, 1Gb RAM - at first I wanted to make the Su-33 template in 4096, but my PC does not support it, it's impossible to work with it in Photoshop, memory can't handle it.

The 30 and 33 screenshot is from FC1 (gallery here), I made a lot of textures mods and I'm finally presenting it. Been working on this for around 2 years. You can visit my blog if you wish. By the way, you already have a texture designer for your model?
  17. combatace, Please, don't get me wrong, I'm just trying to help some way, just pointing some errors. If you're a beginner, I can't imagine what you will do when you go pro, because your doing a nice work. I have some Su-33 drawings, uploading now..
  18. No prob. My PC is almost dying and I can't afford a new one yet. PC is so old, max graphic settings for FC1 is =low, 1024x768. Sad.
  19. well, ingame afterburners are awful. they ask for a replacement. The screenshot is beautiful, though. Nice dark aspect.
  20. combatace, - the tail fin is wrong. it seems to be the 30MK's, wich is longer than the 33's. - nose needs some shape adjustment - canards need to be a little bit longer (some points I noted when I saw the screenshots above) compare tail fins
