  1. Thanks Ramsay... I will definitely look at this again with what you wrote in mind. Maybe that was my problem all along. Great info...
  2. On the front dash (Top Right) There is a red lamp and push button) that is supposed to synchronize the Magnetic Compass. (pg 115 in the DCS L-39 manual as number 23 & 24) In doing the training missions and a little interesting flying for fun, I found the Radio Magnetic Indicator (RMI) was off. Supposedly, unless I am misunderstanding, this button is supposed to realign (realigned while in straight, level, accelerated flight). It does not. On the PU-26E, I supposedly have the correct settings, being Magnectic Compass (MC), N (as opposed to S, for the Caucus Map), and 43.5 degrees Lattitude. Is this a bug, is it not working correctly currently, or am I just not doing this correctly? Or is that button just to extinguish the light? I have had the compass off by at least 5-10 degrees and the light never lights up... Am I supposed to Change or synchronize it on the PU-26E using the "HDG Select"??? Maybe the PU-26E has to be in the Gyro Compass (GS) mode, or what am I missing exactly? :helpsmilie:
  3. I just want to post about this campaign. I have both the MiG-15 and the F-86F. I have for a long time held out on paid campaigns as I wasn't much impressed with the ones that were already available that came with the aircraft I already own. That changed after I started the Baltic Dragon campaign for the MiG-19P. I decided to try and see some of the other campaigns available. After much deliberation, I decided to pick up the Museum Relic campaign. I have been flying the campaign for a while now in both the MiG-15 and the F-86F. Long story short, I am extremely impressed with this campaign. Not only is it very challenging at times, but it has been not only well done, but has much depth. You can certainly fly it, and just wing it and be successful... however, if you really want to get the full experience and really take in all the enormous work that went into creating the missions and multi-tiered and layered experience, fly it as intended, follow the flight plans, etc. There are tons of things happening that will immerse you into a very well done campaign mission trail done by someone that understands aviation on an intimate level and understands that they are creating an experience that at times actually make you feel as if you are truly in the story as the character you are playing. Very well done. I am completely impressed. Major congratulations to Mr. Apache600 for this campaign. I from now on will use his work as a standard measure on other campaigns I fly!
  4. Thanks for the quick reply... I have been pulling my hair out trying to figure this out  , since about the June update. I read the updates list put out by DCS, and didn't see anything about that changing in particular, and have been operating the bird the same way I have since the release of the Early Access, with slight changes, like when they inverted the incorrectly inverted switches so that they are correct... Guess I need to go back through the manual again :joystick: (if it was added as I don't recall seeing it in the initial release of the manual) and edit my startup checklist with the engine runup tests, etc... :joystick:
  5. Am I the only one having issues getting the Farmer to move into Full Military power and or After burner? The Turbine RPMs reach the limit, but I don't get light indications for either, and afterburner isn't igniting when I look at the outside of the aircraft. It has been causing me grief sine, I think, the June update. Kind of a big deal, as it makes it difficult to intercept high altitude targets, and gives a handicap in a dog fight... I can see the AI controlled planes with afterburner, but I can't seem to get my own piloted craft to reach afterburner.
