I used X52 Pro for a while. Then I tried the CH Fighterstick and Throttle, the X52 has sat in the closet playing dust catcher every since. It has a much better feel in the hands than the X52. If I ever get the madness and decide to spend $500.00 on a stick I might try the Warthog.:joystick:

JINX_1391, You are correct. sometimes and I have no idea why the sample will be repeated under several headings. It can/should be under the only one you are trying to map. This is not rocket science by any means, it only takes a little time and practice to figure out what DCS wants from you.

Go into the game. Top left, open "options" At the bottom hit "Axis Assign" there you can enter the axis for the rudder, it will show as RZ. Then under "Axis Tune" you can enter the curvature which is almost surely the problem. Check it out. Fixed all my problems. :thumbup:

Try This I had the same problem for some time. Couldn't figure it out, almost gave up on the game. Then some kind soul gave me the solution. You need to set the fix in the control setup. Go to Control in main menu This is my settings. Rudder control: Deadzone = 0 Saturation X = 100 Saturation Y = 100 Curvature = 25 This works for me, maybe not the best for you. But start here and fine tune for your self. The problem is that the sim does not automatically set your joystick or rudder.:)

I know where the actual zoom commands are located. What I can't seem to do is key them to my joystick or throttle. Maybe they can't be set to a stick button? As far as external zoom that is. Zoom slow in and out work fine on the joystick.

OK, so I am playing the mission 1v1 guns only, F15c. But I can't seem to find the enemy and the bitch starts crying bingo. What am I missing and why would anyone create a mission why the planes couldn't find each other? Thanks...

cichlidfan, What's odd is, since I saw your post I went and looked and I found it in the same place. Windows, when I did a search, said it could find no such file. Now I really don't know what's going on. But the warning did go away...

Well, after digging a little, It only seems to be affecting one mission. The A10a mission "A Visit to the Port" Doesn't show up for any other mission. In fact Windows can't even find such a file. If there's a gremlin in there I guess I was bound to find it.

This warning just started popping up. "Cannot open file for reading Success.ogg" Running: DCS World 1.5 Don't know exactly what it means or how to fix it. Anyone have any ideas? I searched for an explanation but found none. Thanks for any help...

I am trying to figure out a good setting for the cursor on the A10a. I have the CH Fighterstick and Pro Throttle. Tried several setting and nothing works well when it hits the fan. I mean it seems good and then when I get into action it becomes slow as maple syrup. Anyone wish to share their correct setting with a noob? Thanks...:cry:

I just have to say, I loaded up GTM 7 and it blew me away. What nice looking terrain compared to the stock stuff, though it's not too bad either. But now it all looks so lush and so much more life like. My hats off to Mr. Barthek.:thumbup:

I got it to work. I just went ahead and set it up like I have it in Silent Hunter 4. Don't know why it didn't work as a stand alone. Thanks for all the help...

Thanks for the relies guys. As far as I can tell everything is setup fine. So I have no idea why it's not working. I'm not sure trying another program will help. If this is not working I'm not sure why a different one would. Well I will keep playing with it, maybe I will find the problem. Thanks everyone...

Art-J, Yes I do mean Barthek's GTM. I have both 7 & 8. Everything seems to be ok as far as setup. I renamed the Mods folder _MODS, the mods show up in JSGME they just don't seem to turn on. I guess I am not sure by what it means when you say "as long as the mod folder structure looks like the game root folder structure. In SH4, JSGME is sitting within the game itself. All the mods are made JSGME ready and require no help on my end. Now I have it setup as the video instructed as a stand alone, not within the game. I am no computer geek and this seems to be confusing me. Is it possible that you could explain it in simple terms? Thank you...

"GMT" is a terrain mod. I figured if it was working it would be easy to tell. But I'm thinking maybe it only affects campaigns and not the ready made training missions. I have no campaigns as of yet, so I can't test that theory. Thanks for your reply Rudel...

How does the mods loaded in DCS affect the sim? I mean do they only work in campaign mode and not in the "preset" missions? I ask because I setup JSGME and put two mods in the folder and I can activate them but I don't see they in the game (GMT 8.0) I use JSGME in Silent Hunter 4 to install mods but DCS is all new to me. Thanks for any help...:)

Thanks for the replies. As I tried to get across, I'm not really complaining or crying, I was just sitting and wondering where all of this might be going. I have not been around these parts for long so it has been very helpful to get the prospective of people who have been a round a lot longer and actually have their finger on the pulse. I'm not looking for anything free. I know this work takes time and effort and I hope to continue to support it. My fear, I guess, is that one day it will simply be gone and we are all on our own. I'm just hoping that doesn't happen and your post have made me feel a whole lot better about that. Thanks again...

Don't get me wrong here. But what am I paying for in all of this? Wonderful that DCS World is free, but to get anywhere you need to buy the new maps, get the latest aircraft, and we are talking in the area of $60.00 a shot. I have bought three planes in excess of the freeies that come alone with the download (1.5) But Now version 2.0 is the hope of the future. I understand that Rome wasn't created in a day, but... A Whole lot of the info out there doesn't follow with the latest version and you better be careful of the downloads you add because some are for version 1.2 and will cause 1.5 to crash and no one cares to tell you whiich one is which. Think I'm kidding or just ragging? Go on the forums and read it for yourself. I think this game (sim) is the best I have ever come across, But does DCS know where this is going to end? That this rate, and these prices, I believe this sim is doomed to the same fate as Strike Fighters and Falcon 4.0 AF. What does thou think to be so?
