Ok genius, look at the first post in this thread. There you will find a screenshot of a post from the official Heatblur youtube account, stating Tomcat in 2018. I'm sorry am I taking crazy pills where we just pick and choose the statements that fit our narrative? I am well aware that they have backtracked significantly from that statement and now are saying winter 2019. That does NOT make it right.

I truly, truly hope that they will release the Tomcat on the 21st of December like many have speculated, but the fact of the matter is that doesn't seem very likely right now. That's a mere week away and they still have not released the manual to the public and we have seen no community Youtubers making videos about the airplane yet. This DCS "culture" if you will, of missing deadlines is quite frankly exhausting. I am sick and tired of getting hyped for an airplane that is still MONTHS or YEARS away due to misleading marketing and incorrect statements. Is it too much to ask that devs do not make definitive statements on release dates that they simply cannot make? Or if they do make such statements to ask that if that changes they let us know as soon as possible?

Did you not even look at the OP where there is clearly a statement from the official Heatblur youtube account stating firmly 2018 release? I don't care if a company says, "winter 2018/19" and then releases when the product is ready, but how on earth are you not frustrated that there was a clear statement on a 2018 release date that they are going to miss, EXACTLY LIKE THEY MADE IN 2017?!?

What part of "2017 no exceptions." and "Tomcat in 2018." confuses you? Why can't more devs act like BST used to and keep their mouths shut until they are 100% sure about releases? This endless chain of missed deadlines is terrible and it is people like you that enable these devs to continue to make false statements like this. Yes I am excited as hell for the Tomcat, yes it is probably going to be the best module DCS has. Does that mean I should just excuse Heatblur for missing now not one but TWO deadlines that they themselves have set? Absolutely not. I'm fine with delays, I'm not okay with communicating one thing and then doing another, that's bullshit and devs should be called out on it or they will continue to repeat this cycle. I would literally prefer no communication on release dates over stating a set time frame and then missing it by months or YEARS.

It's one thing to have a development delay. It's another thing entirely to state with absolute confidence that a product will release in a certain time frame and then totally miss your window. I'm getting really sick of DCS devs just totally ignoring deadlines they've set for themselves. STOP SAYING YOU WILL RELEASE A PRODUCT IN A CERTAIN TIME FRAME IF YOU WILL NOT MEET THAT DEADLINE. RADIO SILENCE IS BETTER THAN LIES.

They also said "Tomcat in 2018." So... Glad to see Cobra learned absolutely nothing from "Tomcat in 2017 no exceptions."

I have this exact same issue with the flashing X on the radar, what's really strange is that if I switch my radar display to the right DDI it goes away and there is no X, switch back to left, X is back.

I never in my life thought I'd say this, but please bring back the old airquake 104th style. The new mission sucks guys. It's literally just a worse version of what several other servers already run.
