  1. Is the AI any good in WWII? Do they use a simple flight model ?
  2. Thanks
  3. Thanks for the quick reply, to me the damage model is the biggest turn off in DCS
  4. If I buy the P51 and the WWII pack, will there be enemy AI 109 and FW even if I dont own them? Has the damage model been updated?
  5. Although not the Yak, pretty close, CJ 6 Nanchang.
  6. Nvidia GTX 1080 Ti founders edition, used 4 months still under warranty. $580 Paypal.
  7. Right ctrl 1 gets rid of the problem.
  8. Yes I figured that was what you meant.
  9. CJ 6 pilot here, Its the opposite, when putting flaps down the plane pitches up quite a bit and slows down because of the drag induced by the flaps. So you to trim and pitch down. I assume Yak and CJ 6 should behave kind of similar when deploying flaps.(same kind of flaps) DCS the pitch up forces and drag when deploying flaps seems weak, its hardly noticeable. I am using a Virpil joystick with extensions, which feels pretty realistic. Made a video of a power off landing you can see on final when I put flaps down , the nose wants to pitch up and also lots of drag is added. Have not flown the Yak 52 though, but should not be that different. Here is a power off landing practice, when I put flpas down see how the nose wants to go up, I need to pitch down to keep the speed.
  10. I am in the taxi and take off mission traning for the Yak 52. I align to the runway, put the heading as the runway and compass in the heading indicator, but get a message that says enable GPK mode on the gyro magnetic compass system panel. What is exactly that I need to do?
  11. Thanks, pretty impressive documentation.
  12. Not new to flight sims, but new to DCS, got into it just to buy the Yak52 (2,000hr pilot looking to buy a real Yak 52). I fly it in VR and its the best looking cockpit I have seen (I fly Il2 BOS, Xplane 11, Aerofly2, Prepar 3D). I cannot comment on the flight model since havent flown a real one yet. Is there any documentation to explain the gauges in the cockpit? I see rpms are in %, Airspeed indicator in KPH, variometer etc. I want to see exactly what is what. I do mostly backcountry flying, but warbirds are my passion.
  13. Flying in VR, no sound menu, no engine sounds. IL2 , X plane 11 and the PC has sounds. Any ideas? I use voice meter for my Buttkicker system.
